Meliadoul contemplated these thoughts to herself as she was checking over her equipment and gear in preparation for the coming battle.

 

Since Ramza had shown her the truth behind the Zodiac Stones, and seeing their corrupted effects firsthand, her mindset had been irrevocably shifted and she knew the Beoulve was right.

 

Her heart only grew more and more fond as time passed with her journeying alongside the man, fighting at his side on the battlefield and sharing in his company after.

 

Too many times had death come close to claiming him, and Meliadoul's heart had clenched with fear.

 

As she stepped out to meet Ramza after finishing her check and met his kindly gaze and felt her heart beat a little faster, a little harder, and a cry inside herself to keep him close...

 

Yes, she decided.
