Chapter Text
Wasps, Beetles, and Trilobites (other potential titles include - Sergeant* Slave, Queen of the Hive, Hive Princess) *when protesting his brother hitting Agatha, Moloch goes "you're out of line, sergeant!" so I assume that's his rank.
- When Agatha is mugged in chapter one, she briefly goes Sparky; shouting for them to "Stop! Give that back!" using her most commanding voice
- To Moloch's confusion, Omar freezes, looking terrified
- He'd hoped that the Other having disappeared meant that his being Wasped was now meaningless
- Omar immediately turns around and returns the locket, as ordered; begging for Agatha's mercy
- Agatha is pleased, but confused
- She asks why he suddenly changed his mind
- Believing she must be the Other, Omar answers honestly; he's one of her revenants, and didn't have a choice
- He pleads with her to let Moloch go, he doesn't want his brother to be enslaved too
- Moloch tries attacking Agatha to free Omar, but Omar is automatically forced to defend the girl he thinks is the Other
- Both siblings are now terrified
- Agatha is horrified to learn about the existence of stealth revenants, and even more alarmed that she can somehow control them
- She quickly decides to alert the highest authority she can find
- Agatha has Omar and Moloch come with her to Dr. Beetle
- While heading toward the university, they run into the Baron himself; visiting early
- On the way there, and while Agatha is explaining things to the Baron, Omar is quietly trying to convince Moloch to flee, lest they BOTH end up on a slab
- Moloch refuses, Omar is the only family he has left
- The Baron has all three taken into custody, ordering them guarded by jaegers only
- He doesn't want to risk any unidentified 'stealth revenants' being activated, and jaegers are immune to Wasps
- He DOES note that Agatha is being very helpful and cooperative
- The large rotation of jaeger guards while the Baron deals with Dr. Beetle (who still has a hive engine), means they eventually take note of Agatha's scent
- They don't know what to do about it, so they alert the Generals
- The Generals join the Baron in questioning the three, easily justified by their genuine concern about new revenants
- Questions about Agatha's heritage lead to her showing the locket pictures/describing her uncle
- Klaus offers his suspicions about Lucrezia being the Other
- The basic situation is figured out/explained
- Klaus now has three Jaeger Generals in the room with a newly discovered Heterodyne, who seems to be genuine and cooperative
- He takes a mostly gentle approach; if Agatha helps him identify and cure these new revenants (who still have a mind to cure, unlike the zombie type), he will help her claim her birthright
- Agatha has no reason to doubt the Baron yet, and is still wearing the locket, so she agrees
- Agatha want's to let her parents know what's happening; the Baron won't risk letting her wander freely right now, so he goes down to talk to them himself
- Agatha's parents have yet to realize what has happened, assuming Agatha is simply having her usual day at school
- They are incredibly alarmed to have Klaus show up at their door
- Klaus is likewise surprised by their identities, as Agatha had used their assumed names
- With Agatha already in custody and identified, they let Klaus take them in; hoping to be brought to Agatha and escape from there
- Except Agatha doesn't want to go, she wants to fix the revenant situation
- Hiding is no longer feasible, and she now needs every advantage she can get
- So they tell her about the locket
- No one is happy about this reveal
- Omar and Moloch are told that is they cooperate, they will be free once Omar is cured of the Wasp
- They will have a choice between: taking jobs with the Empire, working for the new Lady Heterodyne, or being released with enough funds to start over elsewhere
- Would be fun to do from Omar's POV as a long term revenant
