So freaking hilarious!
Derek trapped as "dog" by circumstances taken in by Stiles, who thinks he's finally getting the dog of his dreams...so he buys sqeaky toys....and tennis balls....and a book about obedience training.
The battle of wits between oblivious Stiles and "dog" Derek are truly masterfully done. The author has a real gift for narrative humor. -

“I’ll have you assholes know that it was a gift,” says Stiles, “from Ruth, who is considerably cooler than anyone here.” When Derek’s expression clouds at the mention of her, Stiles quickly adds, “And who is now aware that I’m single, by the way.”
“Really? Because I was handed three pastries yesterday,” says Derek.
“Oh come on,” says Stiles, rolling his eyes, “who complains about free pastries? "
Derek continues glaring while Peter snickers and Isaac looks somewhat lost.
“She may think she’s helping me win you over,” admits Stiles. “I had to give her a reason why we were doing nice things for you in the first place.”
“Hang on,” says Isaac, “she thought you were dating Derek?”
Stiles bristles. “Try not to sound too shocked. I happen to be a catch.”
Isaac ignores that. “Dating you comes with free pastries? Can I date you?”"He likes you," says Isaac.
"I think your information is out of date," says Derek.
"No, it's not. I realized it when he sent you the application. Stiles does stuff like that, but he doesn't do it for everyone. The only other examples I could think of involved Lydia Martin."
"That's ridiculous," scoffs Derek, "I'm -" he tries to come up with a word for a moment and then just gestures at himself.
"I think your mirror is out of date," says Isaac. -

Beautifully brutal
He has spent weeks living alongside the people that chose to protect Claudia’s son with their parents’ fierceness. To protect Stiles with the strength of their own devotion. The people that love him, and love him, and could burn the world for a laugh that was more important to them than wars.
And somehow, Derek has been blinded by his search for John in the gaps between Stiles’ quirks. Because it's so easy to find John’s kindness, his justice, his ability to give everyone a fair chance in Stiles.
So easy that, somehow, Derek forgot.
And tonight, the Stiles that slides out of the car seems to belong to a whole other specie.
Stunning under the ghastly light of a lamppost, all pale skin and sharp cheekbones, clad in simple black clothes, thigh holsters and leather gloves. Behind him, his men spread out like hounds ready for the chase, shadows in bloodthirsty smirks and rolling shoulders.
Stiles turns to Derek with luminous eyes and two knives dancing fluidly between his fingers. He grins, a savage thing slashing his face.
For the first time, Derek remembers that this man is Claudia Stilinski’s son.

“So say there’s a lone werewolf in Beacon Hills,” Stiles starts, and Colby says, “Stay away from it. I mean it, Stiles, do not go near it,” and Stiles makes a face at his phone.
He says, “What if it followed me home?”
There’s a long pause. Finally, Colby says, slow and careful, “What, like it’s howling outside your window?”
“Um. More like it’s sleeping on my bed. He, I think, but it’s not like I’m going to check.”
The wolf cracks an eyelid at him and huffs; Stiles is going to take that as both an affirmative and a warning not to go looking for his balls. Stiles is more than happy to accommodate.

Throw Me to the Wolves by skoosiepants
Stiles takes a deep breath and, to his utter horror, starts crying.
It’s a good long ugly cry in between spilling out bits and pieces of Stiles’s entire craptastic semester at school, of Cal and his pack, of puking up black goo and blood and bile, of barely passing his classes—he tells Scott that he’s thinking about dropping out, but he’s got nowhere else to go.
Scott wraps his arms around him and presses his cheek into the top of his head and murmurs, “I don’t get why you even wanted this in the first place.”
Stiles snuffles and half-chokes on snot and tears and says, “What? Want what? To be bit by some random douchebag in a bar? To be kicked out of Derek’s pack? Yeah, who wouldn’t want that, right?”
Scott’s arms tighten, mashing Stiles’s face into his chest. “Stiles,” he says, voice hard. “Do you—do you mean you didn’t ask for it?”
Something crashes downstairs, like glass shattering, and Stiles tilts his head so his forehead is digging into the meat of Scott’s shoulder. “Why would I fucking ask for this? Ever?”

Lovely and whimsical
Add to that the fact that the kid smells more like loam and pine sap than human infant, that she has Stiles' stupid cute nose and Derek's stupid bunny teeth, and the thing might as well be wearing a sign around its neck that says I'm here to destroy you and all that you hold dear. Derek's uncomfortable enough with how close the damned thing is to Stiles' throat right now, he is not bringing it home for dinner.

Who does that?” he groaned, and it’s only partially because of the sharp nip of Derek’s teeth against his throat.
“It barely –”
“Years,” Stiles insisted, “years, Derek. Shut up and come back here, I’m not done kissing you yet.”

Graduate Vulcan for Fun and Profit by lazulisong
Love the idea of Kirk having a fleet of Kelvin aunties and uncles.
Salek is a superb character.
For a not too lengthy, and funny, story also tugs at the feels in all the right ways.
Wonderful exploration of Vulcan language and history.
Author has a flair for humor.
Excellent McCoySakel looks at him for a long minute and Jim knows he's thinking about when Jim hadn't hid his intelligence, before he knew what being better and brighter could mean.
"There has been one other human that has attained this level of mastery of the Vulcan language, and she is an ambassador's wife." Sakel stares at him pointedly.
Jim kind of just has to gape at him for a second. "Are you saying I should let everybody know I know Vulcan so I can marry up?"
"That is illogical," says Sakel primly. "I merely mean to point out that it is a rare accomplishment, and one you should take satisfaction in."
"Oh my God, you have some sort of Vulcan crush on this woman!" howls Jim, even more horrified than he was a second ago.
"Amanda Grayson is young enough to be my granddaughter," says Sakel, which is totally not a denial.
Bones swears to God and on a photo of his daughter that he will never, so long as they both shall live, cast it up to Jim that he wrote an entire paper on Vulcan love poetry, nor shall he snigger inappropriately about it more than once a week. Uhura swears to all her ancestors and on her earrings that she will never, ever nag Jim about his potential until he retires from active duty -- which will be never, if Jim has anything to say about it. Died-With-His-Boots-On-In-Someone-Else's-Bed Kirk, that will be him. Spock swears to nothing and on nothing, but he says it would be illogical to make light of an important subject that so clearly (if illogically) embarrasses Jim, so Jim's counting that as a win, at least until the day that Spock drifts by to murmur 'thy scent, O Beloved, still perfumes our bed' at him in the halls of Starfleet just to watch him twitch. Which Spock will do, because Spock is that kind of a dick, Jim can tell already.

Steve says, "This is maybe not the time for this conversation."
Sam says, "Do you know what fucking professional confidentiality fucking means?"
Bucky says, "Since I'm either just legally or possibly actually really dead, can't you just pretend you have a ghost haunting your office? Would you be mad at a ghost who learned how to be a better person by listening to the advice you gave other people? Also, is Robin a boy or a girl? Am I allowed to ask that? I know there's a whole big thing these days about trying not to just assume people's gender, so am I allowed to ask if people prefer boys or girls or is that a thing that I should just let people tell me on their own?"
