There had been suspicion since the beginning that all of this could be a setup. Maybe 2BDamned never left them. Maybe this is just a ploy to get Hank into agency clutches and see to it they got what they deserved. Maybe he and Sanford are nothing but collateral damage. He can visualize those possibilities crystal clear in the way 2BDamned dodges any conversation about what he actually did for those unmistakably evil sons of bitches. Even if he speaks of them with vitriol, sends Deimos and the others to kill hundreds of thousands of their men, Deimos knows firsthand they could never care how many die when it's so easy to make more.
2BDamned doesn't tend to listen to whatever nonsense Deimos spouts. This time, Deimos will force him to.
