She’s not sure what is pulling her to be so honest right now, untactfully honest that is. She’s revealing too much that can never be taken back, peeling back too many layers that have grown fuzzy and rotten from years of being hidden in the darkness. “That’s easy for you to say Patrick.”
The smirk playing on the other alpha’s lips would’ve fooled an untrained eye, but Patrick’s hues never lie. They’re both digging into places that have remained buried for over a decade, for peace of mind, for avoidance sake, for their own mental health— for Art’s. “Remind me, whose mating bite is he wearing?”
Tashi can’t help the scoff that falls from her lips, a chuckle filled to the brim with bitterness following right after. To anyone else she probably looked insane. “Whose the alpha of his fucking kids, Patrick? Which one do you think he cares more about, huh?”
