Hughie narrows his eyes. “Okay…? Sure, what is it?”
“Thought we could, I dunno, grab a bite sometime. Nowt fancy, just–” –his hands are sweating– “–don’t make it weird, or shite. Y’know.”
“A bite,” Hughie repeats. “Do you mean– like dinner?”
Butcher scowls. “Christ, don’t say it like that. Sounds bloody… romantic.”
“Well,” Hughie says, “it sounds like you kinda just asked me to dinner.”
“Didn’t say dinner.”
“You said ‘grab a bite’.”
“Yeah, well that could mean anything, couldn’t it?” Butcher grumbles, ears burning.

"What?" Butcher asks curiously.

Butcher doesn't even remember how they got to a point in their conversation where he was asking Hughie if he had ever made a sex tape. It was obviously in jest, sweet and jumpy Hughie would never do something so adventurous like that.
He expected the telegraphed response the lad always has when Butcher asks something out of left field. First he'll blush, he'll be rattled leading to a possible flail of his arms and he'll stammer out a reply like someone's drilling him from the inside.

Butcher was able to control himself after Hughie promised him to invite him over if he stopped being a possessive cunt. He was able to keep it together, despite one close call where one of the saggy old men was getting too handsy with Hughie, but he managed to swallow down his pride. Therefore, gaining him the reward.
