"So you're willing to force us into a bond neither of us would ever want, to risk literal insanity, just so you can get your precious peace?" Megatron says, voice filled with disbelief and disgust.
"It doesn't matter what I want," Optimus replies, ignoring the freezing ice creeping closer to his spark.
"And it doesn't matter what I want, either?" Megatron snarls at him.
"This isn't about us!" Optimus says, louder than intended. He berates himself for losing his composure when Megatron's lips curl into a smirk. "I am willing to do anything to keep Cybertron safe."
"Safe from me, you mean," Megatron says, gesturing towards the dark halls of the Nemesis outside of Optimus' prison cell.
"Yes.”
An arranged bond is a dangerous, loveless union in which one's death can have catastrophic consequences for the other. It's a trap with no way out.
It's also Optimus' only chance to end the war, so he proposes a deal Megatron is unable to refuse.

Summary
With the death of Sentinel prime, war erupted on Cybertron, with two factions rising up in a battle to decide the fate of their planet. In one of the biggest battles with the Autobots and Decepticons, the war moves onto a dirt ridden planet, light years away from Cybertron. But this muddy planet holds more than just small fragile organics. Amidst the war, two mechs begin to quarrel, challenging each other's ideologies and authority.
Megatron, a cogless miner and gladiator, leads the enemy faction Decepticons in hopes to seize the matrix of leadership to rule Cybertron. He will crush anything in his way and stop at nothing till he reaches his goals.
Starscream, a retired scientist and leader of his trine, mourns the loss of his loved ones and sits in a pool of hate. War has poisoned every bit of his life, he will escape the war and live the rest of his life peacefully, or so he hopes.(NOTE: this fic will not follow one continuity of transformers, it will be a combination of many continuities for the sake of storytelling and dramatics. After five long cycles of war, Megatron has done the unthinkable. He has agreed to a truce with the Autobots. Endless destruction, ruined cities, millions dead, and… now it’s just over. People are unsure how to react. Some call him insane, others fear ulterior motives. Megatron is just exhausted.
Per the treaty, every Decepticon is allowed to reenter Cybertronian society without any retribution. The issue is that, while it seems everyone is adjusting to their new lives, Megatron is still stuck in the past. He struggles with a redefined role, his self worth, rampant anger issues, and most of all, the bloody conflict inside of him between D-16 and Megatron.
What he doesn’t realize is that he does not have to do it alone.
IN OTHER WORDS: What happens when the war ends and Megatron has to face the damage he’s done to others, but most glaringly, himself?

Summary
Having ended their civil war with a bang and a very belated peace treaty in their own universe, Optimus and Megatron find themselves in the TF:One timeline, before everything went wrong. Not wishing the same war on their young counterparts, they try their best to steer them towards a better path, before it's too late. It doesn't exactly go well. There might be a body count.
World building heavy story where D-16 gets a mentor figure, writes a poem, chases after Orion to save him from himself (and from the Plot), has the worst month of his life and uncovers some of the Horrors hidden in Cybertron's history, not necessarily in that order.

Despite Sentinel Prime announcing the war between Quintessans to be back Cybertron is silent.
There is no trace of war; no death and no sparks lost to the wind in battle.After Megatron's death and Orion Pax' disappearance Optimus have wandered the wilderness, eventually finding himself back in Tarn. The last place they spent time together. The last place on Cybertron that still feels like home.
Where he is supposed to go from here he does not know; and with a sparkling quickly approaching emergence he is desperate to find solace in the few friends he made along the way trying to evade Sentinel.But how is he supposed to find them? No one knows Orion Pax is now Optimus Prime. To the rest of the world Orion died alongside Megatron.
He never told them of who he would become; it was only Megatron who knew. And with the other Primes gone he has no one who can vouch for him.
Except for one other mech.
There is one other mech who knows of his ascension...But who's to say if he still lives?
