The sentiment was meant to be placating, just as the action of cleaning up was meant to soothe and misdirect. Norman ran a hand through Harry’s hair, and cupped the back of his head. "Just please consider how much of a real second chance Peter has given you. The switch is temporary, you’ll have a better-suited body in no time. I promise."
He smiled and left before Harry barked out a hysterical laugh.

"Well," Otto says, like he is talking to a much younger child, "kidnapping and experimentation happen to be illegal and when crimes are committed you are meant to go to the proper-"
"Otto, I know that!"
"Well, I would have assumed so Spider-Man but clearly I overestimated you since you cannot grasp basic principles like 'kidnapping bad'."Or what I think would've happened if Otto took Norman's actions seriously since heroes don't ignore kidnapping, assassination, and experimentation attempts. Otto thinks that Spider-Man is trying to mentor Peter Parker and failing so he steps in (much to Peter's annoyance). Miles tries to figure out who he is as a hero while dealing with Swarm, Gwen attempts to make up for the harm Jackal has caused by helping to stop Norman, and Harry becomes Hobgoblin to stop the Jackal before he creates a spider army.
Basically Otto stays a good guy and everyone gets more developed arcs. Sounds chaotic but I have an 8000 word outline I've edited several times so I can promise it'll wrap up nicely in the end.

Summary
Harry Osborn hated Spider-Man. He hated that he'd stolen his best friend away from him, he hated how he'd won the heart of New York and he hated how he took his father's life and got away with it.
But he was done trying to get revenge for it. He wouldn't put on his father's costume any longer, he wouldn't ruin his mind with drugs anymore. He was done with that life, he was done with him - Peter Parker, and he was certain of that.
So why was it that when the masked menace collapses in his garden in the dead of night, injured and unconscious, his first reaction isn't to shout or chase him away, but to grab the medkit and start dressing his wounds? Why did he insist upon making sure that he was alive and well instead of ridding him from his life like he'd always wanted? He hated Spider-Man, he was sure of that, so why did he stay?
Aka: Peter gets badly injured during a villain attack and accidentally takes himself to his former best friend's house for safety. Harry, against everything he thought he knew, runs down to help him, all the while battling with the truth that maybe his hate wasn't as strong as he'd wished it to be.

Summary
A Dark Reign AU: Following the events of Civil War and Secret Invasion, Steve Rogers is dead, & Tony Stark has been completely disgraced. While Norman Osborn is considered a worldwide hero. Norman and his group of 'reformed' supervillains are put in charge of the top levels of American security. Norman rebrands them as his Avengers, but realizes that there is essential element missing. He needs someone who will be 'the heart' of his team - the Captain America to his Iron Man. Norman's sights are set on his estranged son, Harry. 'The boy' objects at first, but after some coaxing and light threats, Harry agrees to stand with his father and become a beacon of hope as the superhero 'American Son.'
Opposing Norman are the New Avengers - a group of superheroes turned fugitives - who seek to put an end to Norman's reign.

To meet anyone else, honestly.” He sticks out the wrong hand, eager for politeness but not quite properly educated on how to go about it. Almost endearing. “I’m Peter.”
That is one distinctly human name for someone quite so purple. “Can’t quite remember my name, if I’m being honest. Hoping that’s just a consequence of…” He directs one clawed finger to point at his eye. “Did you wind up with one of those little worms in your eye as well?”
“Tadpole.” Peter immediately corrects, which is annoying. “But yeah, I did.” He bows his upper half forward just a tad, tilting his head. “I don’t think that memory loss is a normal symptom, but maybe the psionic energy of the ship is just messing with you…?”

“Harry? Is that you?” Peter croaks out. His right arm has been set in a cast, and his bare shoulder is wrapped in bandages. Though he now wears a loose hospital gown, his face is still trapped behind his grimy mask. As Harry sits down in the chair at his bedside, before he knows what he is doing, he lifts his hands and attempts to remove it, desperate to see Peter’s face.
“Wait.” Peter stops his hands with his own, the point of contact between them igniting a fire beneath Harry’s skin. He has sat up slightly, propped against the pillows. “Anyone could…” He trails off.
Harry shakes his head. “We’re alone.” Then— “Please, Pete.”
Peter stares at him for a moment more, before dropping his hands. “Yeah. Yeah, okay.”
Despite the obvious display of trust, Harry can’t help but mourn the loss. He moves slowly, pulling his mask off fully. He discards it at the end of the bed and cradles Peter’s injured face.

The Riddler halts. Pauses.
“What the fuck, dude?” He finally exclaims, breaking all melodramatic pretenses and slamming his hands down on the table, “Either listen to the goddamn riddle or let me kill you so we can get this exchange over with!”
Peter nods, “Sorry, sorry, my bad on that one. I finally remembered the word I was thinking of. Here, let’s make a deal this time - cross my heart I’ll keep it - so if I can’t solve your riddle you get to…” Peter gestures, leaving it open ended, and the Riddler seems to perk up.
“Kill you in a blaze of glory,” he finishes, primly, and the melodrama returns as he crosses his legs and re-steeples his hands, “And if you win? I must be fair, after all.”
“Uhh… would you mind telling me where I am?”

Peter's greatest enemy is time management and also maybe the hoard of superheroes that are crawling all over Gotham.

Peter is long over the trauma of his past, so when Harry invites him for a group sleepover Peter is hesitant, but if Norman tries anything Peter can just say no, he knows that now. He’s not a helpless little kid like he was before…

Peter’s pink lips are parted, making way for the most gentle of sounds. Harry takes a beat to stare at the unique bridge of his nose, flat and wide. An oblong valley that rock and water intertwined had spent hundreds of years carefully crafting. He wondered if such a beautiful trait would pass on to Peter’s children. Further below, near his chin, lay a scar just as marvelous as the one across Peter’s right eyebrow.
He wished he had some to match or to make some of his own. Preferably somewhere on Pete’s face or his strong thighs. Maybe in the valley of his hips. The options for the hypothetical scenario start to overwhelm him, so Harry decides to lean in close, hovering over the broad chest.
