Nagisa Shiota loved soccer as a young boy and played as much as he could. However, as he grew older, his mother tried to impose her dreams on him. The boy could no longer play soccer freely. And once junior high rolled around, he could barely play. Luckily for him, his teachers and classmates were there by his side. Karasuma-sensei would sometimes have the class play soccer in PE. They even play during breaks and on their summer island trip. After reconciling with his mother, he was able to play freely.
After graduation, he moved in with his aunt and uncle and attended Ichinan High School under the name Isagi Yoichi, rather than using his real name, Nagisa. Mr. Karasuma even created false records for the boy so he could attend school normally. During his second year, he lost to Kira. Still, he received a letter from the Japan Football Union inviting him to participate in the "Player Improvement Project," also known as Blue Lock. While there, he evolves and causes Kira to be locked off from Blue Lock. Nagisa, now known as Isagi, faces many challenges that he overcomes. One day, he received a death threat, nothing new. He only has to handle it like he has in the past, with a smile on his face. -
