Courage is the very thing that drives mankind forward. It guides wisdom, and inspires power. However, courage resonates within every individual. But only those who harness it keep the flame burning. These are the ones that change the world. True courage, though rare, can never be silenced. Courage guides all those who bear it, but no one asks what happens when courage is all you have left; when every friend leaves, every door closes, and only the title ‘hero’ remains.

Legend leaps. Hyrule braces. They both get swept violently over the railing.

Summary
Hyrule and Legend meet under odd circumstances and both have little trust for new people, so they elect to play an elaborate prank on a group of “heroes” while pretending to be twin. Over time, the twins learn more about each other and their travel companions, as well as the lands they come from. Will they decide to end their ruse for the sake of their companions, or will they be found out before they can tell the truth?

Summary
The Veteran had integrated himself into their group seamlessly. As an experienced traveler with enough mental (and physical) mapping to rival Hyrule--who didn't pay nearly enough attention to distance so much as he did landmarks and the "taste of the air"--Legend had taken one look at the lot of them and known exactly where they were heading and exactly how to get them there.
They hadn't really realized it at the time, but Legend's "one look at them" had probably started long before they slammed the doors and pulled the shutters. He had probably been watching them for a while.
[or: Decades into an apocalypse that keeps most of the free world blind or dead the second they open the door, Legend has a deadly advantage. 'Deadly,' because the free world wants to put a bullet in his brain for it and because the terrifying murder-cultists want to recruit him as quickly as possible.]

The group was in Legend’s time, and they were currently in his house. Legend had insisted on going shopping on his own, as a number of the group had been injured in the last few fights. Warriors hadn’t had an issue with that - Kakariko was always a safe town to be in - until he’d overheard Ravio giving Legend a warning before he left.
“Be careful, Mr. Hero. They’ve been wandering around a lot, recently.”

All eyes suddenly fixated on Legend. He felt like he might choke.
Stammering, his attempts at words gave out to a weak little noise that caught in his throat.
Renado hummed, while Time got a bit more comfortable on one of the seats, idly playing with his wristwatch. It seems that they all somehow collectively knew that they'd be here for quite some time.
"Have you been using your heating packs regularly?" Renado slowly approached Legend akin to how one would to a forest animal. At this very moment, Legend felt like one.

"What's been going on with Hyrule?" Warriors chimes, picking lint off his scarf mindlessly.
"Hmm? What do you mean?" Time replied, slightly alerted. It had been long since they have heard of the boy, longer so than they've seen him. "Is there something wrong with Hyrule?" He queried after an uncomfortable beat of silence, one filled with Warriors' nervous picking, and Legend's impatiently-tapping foot.
Instinctively, he flickers his gaze over to Legend, who throws his head into his hands in restless exasperation. At least the tapping stopped.
"Some fucker made fun of his stutter." He sneered. "Now he won't talk."

Hyrule and Legend face some trouble. Hyrule takes the worst of the damage. Legend tries to fix it on his own.

In search of a new danger that threatened to assault Time’s Hyrule, the chain walked into the deep Lost Woods, guided by their leader who opened the path through the darkness. What they didn’t expect, though, is that the danger might sometimes be closer than they think. It might be in the nearest tree, in the flower that stands alone at their feet, in the blade of grass that looks slightly suspicious.
Who knows, it could even maybe —just maybe— be in the shape of their own footsteps. In the wind that lightly hits their faces. In the darkness of their own shadows.
They don’t know if it's standing right next to them. Or watching them in their sleep. Or talking to them using words that feel somehow in the wrong voice.
It’s hard to believe that it could even be staring directly at their eyes with the gaze that used to be blue.
