After the petrification ceremony, Luz is wanted by the Emperor's Coven, owns a Private Investigation Business, and has no way of returning to the human realm. Meanwhile her foster home, the Carpenters can't wait much longer for Luz to return before having to return to Chicago. Vee has noticed that strange people have been following Her and Masha around and an old man claiming to be Luz's Great Grandfather has shown up looking for her.
Sanya and Artemis are behind Enemy lines. They have infiltrated the Emperor's Coven to try and figure out how to save Artemis's little sibling, the Collector from danger. Same with others that appear to be in just as much danger.
