As a player of both Dragon Age: Inquisition and Veilguard, she understands the catastrophic events about to unfold. But knowing the future and changing it are two very different challenges. Alyssa must navigate the dangerous waters of fate and free will. Her position as the Inquisition's Seer brings both power and peril—especially when a certain Dread Wolf begins to suspect she knows far more than she should.
Alyssa must discover that changing history isn't just about preventing catastrophes. Sometimes it's about small moments: a barrier cast in time, a kind word spoken, a truth revealed before it's too late.
And perhaps, if she treads carefully enough, she might even save the heart of the Dread Wolf himself—assuming she can keep her own heart from becoming entangled in the process.

Summary
A century ago, a girl with a magic hand wandered into the keep Imshael was working in and showed him some basic decency. He decided to make that everyone’s problem.
From Emma’s point of view, it’s an enemies-to-lovers deal, with said enemy-turned-lover leading her through the Fade to find Solas’ prison. Imshael’s perspective is more ‘I pet that feral dog once, now he’s followed me home and won’t stop eating burglars’ (he's the dog). He’s made it his mission to not only prevent Emma’s untimely death, but to try to get her to a point where she’s living again, rather than just surviving. He’s really got his work cut out for him.

As long as Elle could remember she had always had a guiding force inside her, a moral compass with a voice. In her mid twenties with a life that she never pictured herself having, that moral compass had started to become something more hate filled. Struggling with the transition from disregarded responsibilities on Earth to being the only person in Thedas with the ability to close rifts, the voice in the back of her mind begins to become more violent and unconsciously reveal aspects of itself she had not noticed before.
With suppressed memories, fervent nightmares, and blood on her hands the new Herald of Andraste tries desperately to make up for a mistake that she can't remember making. One held over her head like a knife on a string.
With the assistance of some of the strongest fighters and mages at her side, the Herald works to adapt despite withdrawal and distance from all she would find familiar. Thankfully everyone else has an idea of what to do because she certainly doesn't.This story starts with more light/entertaining interactions with some serious ones thrown in. As it progresses it is apparent that the main character becomes more serious and feels the weight of events.

Susanna awakens with no memories, in the middle of nowhere, and has to crawl her way out of the ground. The forest is unrecognisable, there's a stone cottage seemingly abanonded, and a goat named Blaidd that swears he hates all people. Recognising the familiar feel of magic, Susanna decides to settle, explore and learn about this new world and the magic it contains, different from her own.
And then Anders comes.
(Alternative: Anders flees the Circle during the Broken Circle quest and escapes into the woods. He gets lost, Templar hot on his heels, and is saved by a witch. Susanna is influenced/inspired by the DnD Druid class.)
