Summary
Norman Osborn was considered the most evil and demented man, "Was" being a keyword. Now that his sins are cleansed, he struggles with mental illness, the ghosts of his past indiscretions and solitude. No one wants to be alone, not even Norman. Peter Parker has made it clear he will keep an eye on Norman, but if he slips up even once, it's all over for him. How can he recover when no one will allow him to improve? Is it the destiny of the damned to live alone and full of regret?
Everyone says they love a redemption story, but no one wants to see Norman try. Yet Norman persists, and maybe, just maybe, someone will believe he can change for the better.

Peter was starting to regret his decision to go to Harry’s house. He missed knowing he was protected under his Aunt and Uncle’s care, now feeling exposed and somewhat lonely, distinctly out of place in the Osborn’s mansion. Eventually, the overwhelming feeling grew to be too much, and Peter decided to get up and walk around under the guise of using the bathroom.
The hallway stretched out in front of him and Peter wondered if he could just have Harry over at his apartment anytime they wanted to see each other instead of constantly having to come to this house. It was so cold and stuffy here. So unwelcoming.
Peter walked down the hall towards the bathroom, staring at the ground. He let his mind drift, trying to distract himself from the welcoming and cold feeling pressing in around him, until he suddenly ran into something and fell backwards.
Norman Osborn loomed over Peter. It was oppressive, being under his stare, and it reminded Peter that it wasn't just the mansion itself he didn't like. It was its occupants.This is a cut scene from my story indifference, but you do not need to read that story to understand this :)

So why was it that when the masked menace collapses in his garden in the dead of night, injured and unconscious, his first reaction isn't to shout or chase him away, but to grab the medkit and start dressing his wounds? Why did he insist upon making sure that he was alive and well instead of ridding him from his life like he'd always wanted? He hated Spider-Man, he was sure of that, so why did he stay?
Aka: Peter gets badly injured during a villain attack and accidentally takes himself to his former best friend's house for safety. Harry, against everything he thought he knew, runs down to help him, all the while battling with the truth that maybe his hate wasn't as strong as he'd wished it to be.
