Summary
Four years ago, a mysterious psychic explosion quite literally tore a hole in reality and opened a portal to another dimension. From this portal, terrifying monsters began to spill out, and everything quickly fell into chaos.
Reigen Arataka has spent the last four years surviving by flitting from one group to the next. However, when his most recent group of survivors once again falls apart, he finds himself on his own yet again. Soon, he runs into a new group that calls themselves Claw and later learns about a mysterious kid who has been surviving alone this whole time. When their paths cross, will these two be able to survive in this world of monsters, human and not?

In their ranks is Serizawa Katsuya, a timid vampire who longs to be human again after he falls in love with a certain fast-talking scammer. This is a story about what makes you human, love, and protecting those you care about.
Flips between Serirei romance and Claw drama. Chapters will have warnings when there is smut, and only Serirei will have smut, but there are no other relationships.

“You don’t have to apologize,” Reigen said, voice low and steady. He ruffled Mob’s hair — gentle, grounding. “You can call me that anytime you want.”

“What does it mean to ‘get a clue’, Shishou?”
A crease wedges itself between Shishou’s brows. Is Shishou as confused as he is? That can’t be right. Shishou always seems to know the answers to everything. He always knows the right words to say, when to say them, how to say them and how to say them well. That can’t be right at all.
Sure enough, Shishou’s answer comes after only a beat, and Shigeo’s hesitation dissipates completely.
“Get a clue?” he echoes, “It means to read the room, Mob. Why do you ask?”

They go to the office of Reigen Arataka, a fake psychic feeding lies to Giyuu's boss. Problems arise when Reigen is hired into the church to perform exorcisms while not having any psychic abilities, relying on Giyuu to help him fake it. Giyuu doesn't like frauds or scammers, so he's less than pleased when Reigen gets ahold of a very embarrassing thing that could be shown to the head priest.They hate each other, simple as that.
