When the recluse awoke in the morning, it was alone, his beloved nowhere to be seen. He pouted- He missed his beast; he loved waking up in his warm arms every morning since becoming the Truthless Recluse. But sometimes he does disappear, needing to continue his expansion of deceit across all of Earthbread. He could still feel a lingering trace of warmth on their bed, so he must have left only minutes before.
He sighs and dresses in his usual black and dark blue robes but leaves the hat off. He saw Shadow Milk’s opinion now, the hat did make him look stupid. He opens the door to their balcony, sitting on a plush chair Shadow had created for him. The recluse often liked sitting outside, gazing at the forests and faux villages surrounding the Spire of Deceit. He loved the caress of the cool wind against his cheek- though he much preferred Shadow’s touch.
