Now: When Eliot wakes up, everything is wrong. Quentin is missing, leaving only ominous letters behind, and no one seems to care. He needs to understand what happened while he was gone. Why something in his body is telling him things were worse than they seemed. He has to find Q, at least make sure he's still alive.
Then: The monster is fascinated by Quentin. And Quentin? Well, he loves Eliot and he needs to keep his body alive for him to return... and he is a weak, selfish man. Really, he shouldn't have expected better from himself.

Short? Yes. Incomplete? Never.
I'm writing a series of haiku about the Mosaic. These are all standalone but I shall add more like tiles from time to time. So in essence this puzzle will always be complete yet ever creating a new pattern. Hoping to gradually present the beauty of all their lives together. Like shifting tiles I may shift the pictures around too, as I have time. I'm actually being crushed by deadlines rn, sorry for the mess, but I figure They got tired working on the puzzle, too. Yet they loved each day. And we all love it so.

Right now I'm primarily working on adding the missing art pieces to match the photoscenes in the Tumblr chapters. Just to make sure you don't miss the art, please subscribe, as starting with fall 2025 I've begun creating "bonus art chapters" collecting the art that was retroactively added to missing chapters, so that those who already enjoyed the chapters won't miss anything. “Quentin’s gone. He died saving me,” Eliot told her. "A world without Quentin is not a world I want to live in,” Eliot said firmly. His heart had broken the moment he had heard that Quentin had died while throwing the monster into the Seam in the Mirror World.
“You’ve come to see if I can change time for you,” Jane said with certainty in her voice.
“Can you?” He asked her.
“The watch I’ve used before would reset the entire timeloop, back to the very start, before you all came to Fillory and confronted the beast. Once there, in the next timeline you would not remember this timeline at all."
“There must be a way to send my memories to the next loop,” Eliot said desperately. “Please, I need to fix this. I need Q.” he confessed. It was the first time he had said that aloud since returning to his own body.
“Very well, then. Since you are so sure, I will help you." Jane said.

They’re very clearly Q’s hard limits from the outset, even before he entirely knows what hard limits are. As it goes, they line up well enough with Eliot’s own, another notch in the many ways they’re compatible. So that’s how they play – no humiliation, no pain in the context of punishment, and never any blood. Even when Q wants to apologise. Especially when he wants to feel forgiven.
A scene negotiation, and then a scene; Q asks for forgiveness, and earns himself lots of praise.
