Despite this, Dirk chooses to abandon his son and leaves him behind. As a result, Stan Strider, Dirk's son, has to grapple with his life drastically changing at the young age of 16 and once more when he reaches 21.

The year is 2100. Rose is a state-of-the-art android initially created by the famous inventor Roxanne Lalonde as a prototype for a line of autonomous personal companions before Crockercorp took over Strilonde Industries, which led to her being dumped in the waste fields. Kanaya is a working-class civilian part of a band of rebels determined to free the city of Crockercorp's influence. Kanaya found, repaired, and modified Rose into the double agent she became today and Rose was determined to help Kanaya and the rebellion no matter the risk. But the latest mission has proven dangerous, and the consequences are immediate.
