Summary
Fair warning, I like my crack played straight and this is very much in that vein. So: garden variety real world OCs show up, Palpatine is eventually defeated, yadda yadda, the Republic is saved, nothing bad ever happens again...? Only...
Palpatine might be dead but the galaxy still has to cope with the underpinnings of what he had begun to construct.
The former Separatists are groaning under the weight of being stuck with the entirety of the blame for the war.
The Jedi are reeling from the negative impact the war and their failure to recognize a Sith Lord becoming Supreme Chancellor has on the Republic's faith in their guidance. Oh, and there's still Knight Skywalker's marriage to deal with.
The clones, shaken by the hideous revelation of the chips, are left still being used as pawns in a galaxy which still doesn't value them, and the Kaminoans just secured more funding for occupational forces.
The Senate, the civil service, the courts, and the senior non-clone ranks of the GAR, are still full of Palpatine's supporters.
Oh and Eva is the mean roommate who yells because nobody does dishes.

Names are an Important part of Clone Culture. When you don't have anything else, a name becomes important. The one thing you can really call your own. For most clones, this meant a name that encapsulated them. Their personality, how they thought or fought, things of that nature.
For the Coruscant Guard, a name is a sign of achievement. If you didn't earn it, then it's not yours. Your own strength earns you the right to be known by more than your number.

Mylo Syann - padawan without a master, and at this point, not even sure if he counts as a real Jedi anymore. After clashing with his fifth mentor, disobeying orders, going off-script, and doing things his way, the Council finally has enough. Instead of expelling him, they pull him from the frontlines and reassign him to the Coruscant Guard, under the sharp eye of the notoriously grumpy and by-the-book Commander Fox.
From the start, sparks fly. Mylo bristles at Fox’s rigid discipline, and Fox quickly loses patience with a padawan who acts more like a rogue than a soldier. But when a senator drops dead in the middle of a major debate, chaos rocks the upper levels of Coruscant. With tensions running high and the Senate breathing down their necks, Mylo and the Guard have no choice but to set aside their differences and track down the killer - before more bodies fall and the Republic itself comes under threat.
