What was supposed to be a simple PR stunt turns into constant bickering, petty revenge, and way too much accidental tension.
Behind the jokes, both of them are falling apart: A-Train is dealing with health scares, panic, and the fear of becoming irrelevant, while The Deep battles derealization, manipulation trauma, and his unhealthy need for someone—anyone—to care. Forced to live side by side, their rivalry shifts, cracks, and slowly turns into something neither of them expected.

It felt stupid now, to even try to warn Homelander, as if that monster couldn't kill her with a look.

Marie could swear she had heard everyone say that Homelander hated when people weren't afraid of him "I won't hurt anyone" he showed her gloves palms "Nor send anyone back to Elmira. Creepy place, right?" none of them said a word "Alright, then. I just want to talk to you two. The rest can go"
Marie saw Ryan grip Luna's hand.
"Why would you want to talk to me?"

Summary
The long-awaited goal of having superheroes in government power has been successful for The Seven. Homelander appears to regain his footing, while The Boys are in the worst state of their fates. Butcher had given into his darkest ambitions, drifting on his own while Starlight is now tapping into the stronger version of her powers.
In the midst of a one-sided fight, there was another assembly that had been away from the public’s eyes. In fact, no one knew they existed: a number of extremely powerful and nefarious supes that were lurking underneath the shadows that witnessed everything.
They appeared to be ambiguous with their goal, but one thing is certain: they have their motives that Vought had betrayed while plotting their own schemes that The Boys can help. They are eager to help The Boys, and The Seven, but for what? How far will they intend to toy the two sides? Will they help The Boys reach their goal of overthrowing the corruption they knew too closely of, or will Vought, including Homelander, have the advantage of the most powerful supes that rivals Homelander.

He's alive, and she can scarcely believe it: alive in his own skin and sitting on the floor of the bedroom he built for Cipher, eating sushi and talking intermittently, while she waits for him in bed. The sun is setting and rays slant through the windows of the building, and she knows it won't last forever.
My take on the first scene between Sage and Godolkin in S2 E8 of Gen V - Trojan, because I think it's a deeply sad story and Sage deserves better.
