They have to somehow use their combined intelligence to pull it off while trying to to kill each other in the process.
So many things were left untouched since they'd last spoke.
Why'd they break up?
Where would wylan even go?

Jesper Fahey- Deaf- Kaz’s right hand and whose uncontrolled ADHD gives him an affinity for gambling.
Nina Zenik- Deaf- A Ravkan transfer who gave up life at the Little Palace for a boy that betrayed her.
Wylan Van Eck- hard of hearing, deaf- A boy still stuck under his father’s thumb, trying desperately to separate and go his own way.

He obviously knew of at least one other incident where Kaz and Nikolai, as Sturmhond, had worked together, but he was curious of the full extend of it.
„I‘m surprised it took you this long to figure out who he is. You‘re usually quicker than this.“
Wylan almost laughed, that was as close to a compliment as it would get with Kaz Brekker.

In fact, according to Zoya, it was supposed to be a gift. The day Wylan Van Eck was born, the fairy had appeared in his nursery and uttered the following words:
