One thing always remains the same through countless timelines and transformations -- the Long Quiet and the Shifting Mound love each other, no matter what.
That affection can persist even in the Voices and Perspectives that make up their smallest pieces, as many stories have shown us; we've seen the Voice of the Smitten paired up with the Damsel. The Voice of the Cold with the Spectre. The Voice of the Cheated with the Razor. The Voice of the Paranoid with the Nightmare. We've even seen the Voice of the Hero shack up with the so-called "base Princess."
Booooring.
This collection is for stories featuring new and different Voice/Perspective couplings, particularly ones that have been unfairly glossed over.
Suggestions, requests, and all other kinds of (non-hateful) comments are welcome! I can't promise to fulfill every request, but you're all invited to make them anyway.

A role reversal AU where you follow the Princess trapped in the basement, with a certain narrator stuck in her mind. Someone is in the woods walking right now to this very cabin.

There was a cryptid in the city. It was the size of a bear and was the ink black of a raven. It was most often seen perching on buildings, like a gargoyle, late at night. The only thing people who had supposedly seen it had seen were its eyes, but some claimed to see pairs of wings, moonlight reflecting off of its back. It was silent, most of the time, leading to many calling it The Long Quiet. It had been discovered relatively recently, so no one had gone hunting for it yet.
And so, an (unofficial) paranormal investigator was out to be the first. But of course, her search didn’t lead her to abandoned buildings or dark woods, but rooftops. Specifically, the one of her own apartment building.
But who is she? And who is this cryptid?
Well, that depends.

Life has never been safe for a Borrower in a world governed by humans. Viewed as evil omens, any power-bearing “Fae” find themselves prey to black market circles where their fates are drawn to the highest bidder. And sometimes, the winners prefer to place them into the ring and hedge their bets even higher on a gladiatorial fight against something much, much worse.
As is the fate of a pair of escaped siblings, surviving in the woods by the skin of their teeth. But when evading their opponent proves too challenging, it may take deciding between trusting the owner of a nearby cabin or trying to outrun an enemy that can’t be killed.
But the tenants of that safe haven have one damning condition: they must reveal themselves to him first to be granted shelter. Shen Qingqiu and Tomioka Giyuu have been dropped into the Slay the Princess universe. At first, they're confused and target the protagonist of the universe, assuming that he was attacking a woman already locked away in the basement, but as time goes on and loops repeat, they realize that the princess is not what she seems
The Long Quiet and the voices in his head are confused on why slaying the princess is more complicated than the narrator lets on.
(11. 22. 25: Decided to buy a new charger and I am half-way done with Tomioka's chapter (3000 words so far). It's easier now that I'm on break. Should be done by maybe Tuesday hopefully?)

Summary
The Wild and the Apotheosis are two of the strongest vessels, they can break the construct. When the Shifting Mound is a bit late on retrieving her gift of a Tender Heart, the Nightmare grows to receive this strength, too.
But all she knows is how to hurt…
And so she does. She breaks the Long Quiet. Not mentally, or spiritually, or even just his will. She breaks him in a terrible, pragmatic way.
Like the Sleeping Mound, they can hope to rebuild him from the Paranoid voice that survives. Together, the Paranoid and the Nightmare must bring Voices to the Long Quiet, and Vessels to the Shifting Mound.
Hilarity ensues.

Summary
It’s been quite some time since the vessels were separated from the shifting mound, actualized into their own people. They aren’t humans still, but they are no longer just vessels.
Fury is surprised but grateful for how much effort the others put into involving her- even if she suspects it’s from pity. But something has started eating at her more and more with every day.
The other exceptions to their new lives in the castle Ever woke up in (but claims is too large and too perfect for them all to be hers) don’t bother her except for Den, who nobody has heard from. Not even Wild, who is the woods they are surrounded by.
Everyone else is dismissive or wary about approaching Den. Even Beast fears her animalistic tendencies, the kindest princesses don’t want to insert themselves and some of the others talk like she’s a feral stray despite knowing better- despite knowing she’s one of them. It doesn’t sit right with her.
So much so that she’s here, staring down the maw of a cavern.
Aka rare pair yuri born of being obsessed with den and finding an account obsessed with fury and putting some similarities together and getting consumed by the thought.

Rough sketches began to be cleaned up, and the space felt lived-in instead of empty; it felt like the air was breathable and familiar.
