In the months prior to and following Avatar Roku’s wedding Sozin entertained the idea that his quest for rule over the world could be obtained via peaceful means. Thus in 53BG Fire lord Sozin engaged in correspondence with the Northern Water Tribe and by 51BG it had been agreed that Crown Prince Zhihao of the Fire Nation would marry the eldest daughter of the Water Tribe’s High Chief. In 25BG Princess Pipaluk of the Northern Water Tribe arrived in Royal Caldera City to much fanfare. A month later the 20 year old Princess and 28 year old Crown Prince were married. A year later their eldest was born, a Prince named Zhen. This is the build up to the genocide of the Air Nomads and the beginning of the Hundred Years War.
Considering this fic will end with a genocide you can guess there won't be a happy ending. -
