Shane Hollander has made the official move to Ottawa Centaurs, leaving behind the Montreal Voyageurs for good. And his husband Ilya Rozanov couldn’t be happier to be playing on the same team.
Things are finally beginning to settle down for the two of them, something neither had expected to ever have.
However they both quickly realize that perhaps a calm, settled life may not be possible for them.
When Ilya’s brother unexpectedly passes away from a drug overdose, he leaves behind Ilya’s niece with no other family to take her in. Although Ilya and Shane know what they want, it is not easy getting custody of her as two homoesexual men. Nor is it easy helping her to adjust with the move from Russia to Canada.
Thankfully, Ilya and Shane have each other's support as they move to another stage of their relationship, one that they didn’t think they’d reach for another few years.
