Shuji has finally convinced his mom to let him go to public school. Using a new name, Dazai Osamu. He makes his way to room 104, where he then makes eye contact with two beautiful blue eyes. He then right then and there decides he needs to everything about this gorgeous stranger.

Okay, so here’s something I’ve always headcanoned about Dazai:
His whole “womanising” thing isn’t actually about flirting or being a playboy. It’s literally his coping mechanism. Sleeping around is the only time he feels even a tiny bit alive, because the physical pleasure gives him a momentary escape from the numbness he lives with.
That’s why he keeps seeking out women — not for romance, not for attention, but because for a few seconds, the sensation pulls him back into his own body. It makes him feel something.
But most people aren’t ready for that conversation 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️. -
