Summary
Lyanna Stark looked at the crown of winter roses in shock and then heard Rhaegar Targaryen declare her his Queen of Love and Beauty.
Elia Martell watched from where she was sitting as her husband spurned her for a child-woman and humiliated her in front of the entire realm.
Rhaegar Targaryen only wanted to honor Lyanna's courage and good heart but he was unaware of the war his actions would set in motion in a year.
In a year, the future King of the Seven Kingdoms would die at the hands of his cousin Lord Robert Baratheon at the Trident.
The She-Wolf of Winterfell would lose her life after giving birth to a half dragon half wolf in a tower hidden among Dorne's mountains.
The Sun Princess would be forced to watch as her infant son and three names day old daughter were murdered.

I am not shipping Rhaegar and Lyanna and I am not pleased with that love story GoT gave us. Here is my take on it. I did my best to be as logical as possible while staying loyal to the canon lore. -

Summary
Elia and the children were smuggled out of King's Landing by Lewyn Martell who secretly stayed behind.
Lyanna never gave into a moment of weakness and never laid with Rhaegar.
Rhaegar, with his wife and children safe, called for a parley instead of fighting against the Rebels and gained their support to overthrow his father.Now, eighteen years passed and Westeros is better with Rhaegar as King but grudges run deep.
PS: I saw too many fanfics that glorified House Martell and I needed to write them under a semi-negative light. I did my best not to bash anyone but some of my distaste might have slipped into the writing.

Summary
Stories were told, heroes prevailed and villains failed.
At the end while the good was enjoying the happy ending, a greedy King who had been falsely claimed a hero knocked their doors.
He wanted to do many things but the most important ones were these:
Banishing the villains to an isle with no magic and no freedom.
Banning magic.
Some agreed and some disagreed.
Eventually, it didn't matter as the king got what he wanted: A black and white world where he was in charge.Too bad for the King that he was not a good learner.
A tyrant doesn't get a happy ending. That's the lesson he failed to grasp.
Ironically though, it was another tyrant who set the events that would lead to his downfall in motion.
