Chapter Text
16 years of life gone to waste.
But even with the progresses and skills she developed, it was already a waste in the first place, at least to her.
A coddled girl, that's who she was. Adored by her family so much that she didn't get to experience the world on her own. Freedom, after all, was dangerous, but freedom was a required recipe in happiness, so limited freedom was given to her.
It was lonely. Sure, she still made friends, but her family was paranoid. "Dangerous" they called them, "don't trust them", they said, "they'll hurt you."
And some kinds of friends are too dangerous to befriend.
She didn't want to upset them, and she understood their reasons to worry. She was a second chance, her life built up on past experiences.
But she betrayed their trust, and thus, her freedom was taken away.
Then disaster struck.
It was an accident, well, at least it seemed like it.
But all that mattered was:
The efforts she did make in her life were a waste.
but
if god were real to hear
She wanted to live.
She remembered a character from her favorite game.
Kiana Kaslana. brave, strong, and overall a good person. A heroine who fought her hardest to protect the ones she loved, only to end her life in order to protect the ones she held dearest to herself.
She could’ve been someone like her.
If things went her way, she'd do so much more with her life. She'd fall in love. She'd create something amazing. She'd improve someone's life. Her life would end in satisfaction.
Unfortunately, this world didn't have such a fate for her.
