      And I guess I just like writing Drabbles and fortunately seem to be somewhat decent at it :)

   I definitely had an idea to do a drabble for their wedding, but it looks like I have big shoes to fill :)

   A few of my favorite things:
   1) The essence of the drabble is that every word and phrase is utilized to it's greatest potential.
   But not today.
   This is three words but sets the initial mood for the piece.
   2) fitted garments
   This gives us JUST enough of a clue, but doesn't give it away. Very clever
   They were told that today would be their happy day.
   Another clue!
   4) Both failed
   Your emotional curve is throwing the reader for a loop! But the pay off is everything.
   5) that final line put me at ease at last haha

      Exactly. That's what every drabble should try to achieve. I'm very happy you think this one did.

      Your analysis pretty much nailed it, lol. I would add that I like to (over-)employ repetition for additional effect.
