Chapter Text
Long ago, in a land much like ours, a land where entertainment determines your place in the world, a great king lived. He was admired by many and made many more jealous over his vast achievements. And his name was PewDiePie, or at least, that was what he called himself. As his empire grew, however, the harder it became to control it. He recruited others that were like him to control the towns and cities, but over time, they each became more independent. The rulers of these newly formed empires looked at him, not as a leader, but more of a god. Because of this, he became widely known as “The God of All”. Though he wasn’t in control of these cities anymore, rulers such Aphmau, DanTDM, Markiplier and many others pledged allegiance to him, as he was seen as invincible. But no one trusted PewDiePie more than Mr Beast. The two were inseparable, and soon Mr Beast was given similar god-like status. But everything changed when a new “god” came onto the scene.
They were given the name “T-Series” after PewDiePie began making fun of them, calling them “a terrible series of jokes”. Even more complication arose after PewDiePie started encouraging other empires to steal land from T-Series. After years of ongoing insults, it was rumoured that T-Series had decided to move their empire away, far from The God of All. PewDiePie saw this as a great opportunity to destroy their empire and raid it of its resources. It didn’t help that Mr Beast fanned the flames of this plan by getting as many empires that he could to wage war on T-Series. Mr Beast believed that if he could help PewDiePie defeat T-Series, he would finally become just as loved as PewDiePie was. But they couldn’t have been more wrong.
On the day of the battle, PewDiePie’s army was not prepared for they saw. Millions upon millions of blueish-black cloudy figures stood where T-Series castle use too. As it turns out, two rulers, Jake Paul and Logan Paul had ratted out PewDiePie’s plan of attack to T-Series in exchange for “power unlike any that you’ve ever seen”.
The battle was short as many of the other empires turned and fled. PewDiePie and Mr Beast were determined to defeat T-Series, but it was no use. Only an hour into the battle, PewDiePie was stabbed in the right eye with a steel rod, that emitted a sinister purple hue as it burned his flesh. Horrified, Mr Beast order every remaining soldier to flee immediately, as he ran to PewDiePie’s corpse. As He fled, he looked over his shoulder and claimed to have seen the once enormous army disappear into smoke.
People across the nation were shocked at what had happened, and many were determined to find out who the traitors were. But the biggest news was who was going to replace their god. Some empires, though they were devasted at the news, decided to keep going on with their lives. But it soon became apparent to them how much PewDiePie was involved with the cities, even though he technically didn’t control them. However, choosing who would be the new “God of All”, wasn’t an easy task either. Some were more modest and other were very egotistical, but when it came down to it, everyone wanted to be The God of All.
Many people, rulers and citizens alike, believed that Mr Beast should take PewDiePie’s place, after all, it was what he wanted, but he didn’t want to accept it. He was very torn up by the loss of PewDiePie. Some said they were like brothers, while others said it was like a relationship between mentor and student. Whatever it was, he was mourning and was in no shape to rule. But no one could see that, if they did, they didn’t want to accept it. Day in, day out, people kept pushing him to become the new God of All. Some people even sent him death threats if he didn’t accept the opportunity. Eventually, he caved. He couldn’t take the pressure of trying to become someone he wasn’t, so he ran away. And no one ever saw him again.
Empires, like that of Jake Paul and Logan Paul, began civil wars against one another to try and fight their way into control. But it didn’t work. Rulers, like Guava Juice, tried scamming and cheating to gain followers, but it seemed that that didn’t either. Empires fell and alliances were broken. It seemed like all hope was lost, until four people decide to take the reins; DanTDM, stampylonghead, PopularMMOs and Super Girly Gamer, who was otherwise known as GamingWithJen.
They called themselves “The Few Mighty Ones”. These four all had assumed the role of “God of All”. With more than one “god”, it was easier to provide help and support to other empires. When it was announced that there were new “gods” put in place, rulers like Jake Paul, Logan Paul, Ricegum, Guava Juice, and Keemstar had all mysteriously disappeared. They didn’t run away like how Mr Beast had. People reported seeing them turn into smoke, bearing an uncanny resemblance to the T-Series army. However, despite their disappearance, the empires lived in peace for years. Soon, Aphmau, Markiplier and jacksepticeye had joined The Mighty Few, making their empires even stronger.
Each of them had some sort of weird power, and odd ability. Magic was very common, but powers this strong were often viewed as unnatural and impossible.
Stampylonghead, also known as “Stampycat”, had magic boots. These boots gave him the ability to change from an anthro cat creature to a massive leopard-like creature that was at least 2 meters tall.
Aphmau was known as “Irene”. She had shocking healing abilities, as it seemed she could fix virtually any ailment except death. But she was also strong. She had a massive hammer and wings that she could summoned at will.
DanTDM’s power was a bit more out of the ordinary. He had a minecart that was made entirely out of diamonds. It looked rather useless, but it was in deed very powerful. No one could figure out how it worked, but any item that was dropped into the minecart, he could control with his mind.
Jackseticeye had two floating eyeballs that stayed with him at all time. On his command, the eyeballs would double in size and multiply.
PopularMMOs’ ability was very popular among his subjects, as it was visually entertaining to watch. Everyone called him “The Lich King”. By putting on his crown, his armour would wrap around him, like snakes on a tree and his sword would appear out of thin air. He didn’t do much damage, but it seemed as though his speed was increased and, by jumping, he could create small shockwaves.
Markiplier’s ability was by far the strongest of them all. The only down fall of it was that in order for him to use his powers, he needed his partner to be there; CrankGamePlays. But it usually wasn’t a problem. The two never really use their power because of its destructive tendencies. They called it “Unus Annus”.
Super Girly Gamer, however, had no power. She was strong and an amazing fighter, but she was powerless and could barely help the others during fights against magical creatures.
It seemed as though all would be fixed, but they weren’t out of the woods yet.
As the years past, the couple PopularMMOs and Super Girly Gamer began to behave differently. It went undetected to most people, but their friends, the other members of The Few Mighty Ones, could sense that something was wrong. Before long, the two announced their divorce. Many people were upset, but they were still good friends. However, Super Girly Gamer soon became very distant and rarely attended team meetings. She seemed to lash out at people more often. PopularMMOs decided to draw the line with Jen’s weird behaviour when Stampy had noticed her running away in the middle of the night. She could barely explain herself and the only response anyone could get out of her was her yelling at them to leave her alone. The Few Mighty Ones decided that she needed to be restrained before she hurt anyone else, so they locked her in her room, however, her madness didn’t seem to go away. In fact, each day it got worse.
One day, when PopularMMOs came in to check on her, she was motionless. She simply sat on her bed with a faint smile and a blank stare. As he looked into her eyes, he realised that they had turned from a vibrant green to a deep red colour. She chuckled as he jerked his head in shock. He stood there for a few minutes and he would have stood there longer if he wasn’t interrupted by Markiplier bursting through the door. He reported seeing a line of “blueish-black cloudy figures” crossing over the over hills, seemingly lead by Guava Juice.
Within minutes, the kingdom was over thrown and The Few Mighty Ones and their empires had to flee into the Dark Woods; a magical forest full of weird and potentially dangerous creatures. Years before, right after the T-Series war, the empires created secret villages inside mountains in the Dark Woods, so that was where the empires fled. For days on end, The Few Mighty Ones, trained incredibly hard, all except The Lich King, as he was in a state of mourning. The others tried to convince him that everything would okay and that Jen would be fixed, but, at the time, the only way to be rid of dark magic, was to destroy its vessel.
Finally, after weeks of non-stop training, The Few Mighty Ones decided that they were finally ready to face Super Girly Gamer, or at least what was left of her.
This battle, unlike the T-Series battle, was long and hard. One of Jen’s minions, Keemstar, was killed, but the others still remained, cowering behind their dark soldiers. Despite the fact that they had only killed on of Jen’s minions, The Few Mighty Ones had finally made their way into the city and headed for the castle where Jen was hidden away. As the Few Mighty Ones, with CrankGamePlays, approached the massive castle doors, PopularMMOs was struck in the neck, the only place his armour didn’t cover. The sword went straight through his neck and beheaded him. They wanted to stop and mourn but the shadow figures came pouring in. Jacksepticeye, Aphmau and Stampycat tried to hold them back while DanTDM, Markiplier and CrankGamePlays tried to break into the castle. The minute the three broke the magical lock on the castle doors, Super Girly Gamer sent them flying back. DanTDM ran at her and the two engaged in a gruesome fight. During the fight between Dan and Jen, Stampycat was overwhelmed with shadow figures. Though he was in his feral form, the figures were still able to drag him down. Hundreds swarmed over him and he was quickly suffocated to death.
Eventually, Dan was able to finally subdue Jen in battle. Dan signalled to Markiplier and Crank to use their powers on her, but in doing so, there was a possibility that they would end up killing Dan as well. After a few seconds of debate, they decided that they had to use their abilities, as they had no other choice, as losing an ally meant saving thousands of innocent lives. The had to use Unus Annus.
The two sent a white and black spiral right through Jen’s chest. Dan cringed in pain as he felt the spiral piercing into his stomach.
At the end of the battle, many had died, including stampylonghead, PopularMMOs and Super Girly Gamer. DanTDM did not die, but he was very weak, and he would never be the same. Markiplier and CrankGamePlays made a vow to never use Unus Annus ever again out of fear that they would end up killing someone else.
But after all this pain, The Few Mighty Ones were convinced that they were free from this horror show; that they never would have to face a threat that powerful ever again. But if they had learned anything from the past few years, it would be that history repeats itself.
