George was tired, though it wasn’t a horrendous time to be up, just a normal dimming afternoon. He was more tired in a sense he couldn’t get a nap even if his eyes were dropping from the light of his own phone screen brightness. And even though he has something to do, which was sending messages from his ‘anonymous message deliverer’ account, since he has been pushing it almost every day.

At first, it was something for fun and a way to procrastinate from his other tasks, but now he can’t help but procrastinate on it too. And if he has to blame someone for the irony, he’ll be blaming this one account who has been spamming his dms every day or so. Especially when those messages get quite a lot of interactions with that guy’s friends. 

It mostly gives him mixed feelings since this guy may possibly have made his account quite popular around. And yet speaking honestly, who needs to send so many messages in that amount of time? Sure they were fairly sweet. George has been reading them quite a lot now, not just to check for negative content, but because they were genuinely uplifting. Nonetheless, anything could be draining when it becomes too much. And yet, George never does give it a rest, so he's as much to blame as this user.

George groans as a notification once again stopped him from going through youtube. Seriously, he had just painstakingly tweeted out the list of messages for the day, then another one came in. Though, George breathes and opens up the bird app once again, if he gets this one done, he promises himself the rest would be for tomorrow.

dream: “Hey good luck with Lucy’s haircut!! I know it has been a stressful day so don’t forget to take a break okay? Hope she doesn’t stress you out even more than today. Love you and take care!”

Ah, it was him again . This was turning almost a constant from just a daily basis to a few in a handful of hours for him. Was 3 hours a new record or is he only taking a break when asleep? This was almost enough to make him consider making a limit for the messages. Even so, as George reads the message again as he copies it and remembers who's @, he couldn’t seem to do so. Just like every time, it's something sweet for his friend that brings George to give him some sympathy points. He really can't turn it down because of that.

Though he absolutely swears it, it feels rewarding whenever he gets the response from his friends, and especially from this specific one; Bad, as he’s called, is one of the nicest ones yet. Maybe it's because of the cute emoticons he uses too.

George smiles, maybe he's being too hard on the guy. They were just short messages, and seeing how genuinely glad this person got to be was delightful. Plus, the @s are already up his list from how often he'd have them. It's quite the testimony to the stress of having nothing to do honestly.

And in a bloody instant, a new notification arrived. George could hear the presumably fond laughter of this 'Dream' from his screen alone.

As he said, anything could be draining when it becomes too much. Right now, George didn't know if he should laugh or rather throw his phone out and do what he had promised himself and give this to his future self to deal with. And he really does try his best not to make it come across to himself like he needed to reply to it.

That's it! George closes his internet and switches back to his computer. Perhaps even to start with those unfinished mods he was paid to do. He may be irritated a bit, but he could never deny how much he liked the sweet and wholesome notes Dream has been sending out. Even when it is a bit too much sometimes. 

While he works, he thinks of updating his rules with a minimum word count too.

George blinks at a ghastly dreadful time of the night after an all-nighter to finish a deadline and copied up the message and @. Still, he copes and also sends it out with a wish of good luck from him to this guy.

George woke up quite late from the mid-morning's heat, blaring at his eyes. He wasn't much of a heavy sleeper, so it was a bit surprising how much he had slept with the amount of light in his eyes. Surprisingly, he hadn’t planned on checking twitter again this morning, he really hadn’t.

dream: “From sapnap ig! You're doing well and amazingly these days. Wish you'd keep that in mind more often”

George stretched his palm over his forehead so he could rub his temples, trying to drive back the headache he could feel forming out of the unprecedented levels of frustration he was feeling.

Oh my goodness, this was sent just a few hours ago. Does this guy not sleep or something? Well, it was past normal mornings, but he had seen this guy active and live tweeting something before he went to bed a little bit more than late . 

And a message to himself? Right; he thinks it's to throw out suspicion it was him sending out the messages. He's been sending a lot less to himself in the past month and so he remembers that one comment about Sapnap reminding him. George swears it's like a forbidden secret for anyone to know who’s sending these sweet notes.

Seriously, he was making it apparently obvious now. The message was shorter than the others and there are no complimentary pictures.

George had to put his phone down for a second, face pulling his lips into a curled grin.

Maybe it was quite convenient when the thought came to his head. It wasn’t like it was a forbidden secret. And there's also the fact that Dream said not to worry about it. So he doesn't. Just a natural slip up would do. And just like that, George smiles wider and tweets it out by accident . Or a prank, if you will.

George gets his own laugh, randomly replying to the other's comments before muting the post in general. He was about to send out the rest of the messages, but Dream's dms popped up a notification.

Okay, maybe he wouldn't get to send out a bunch more messages this afternoon than he had planned to. George then just got to the realisation that he just in fact woke up from an all night working session of which drained his last supply of snacks. Not to mention the fact that he hasn't eaten yet and would or perhaps need to certainly go get groceries.

George sighs then reluctantly switches his phone off to wave aside distractions when he has finally decided to start the day. There were just enough eggs to make a decent omelette– well, now scrambled eggs for breakfast and nothing much was supposed to be done for the day, except for work and most likely his laundry.

Maybe he had kept himself from anything else other than being productive all afternoon. George breathes from relief as things have slotted into place very nicely for the day. He glances at the clock; it’s earlier than he thought, just after 8 pm And lo and behold, he had gotten dinner earlier than expected! 

George fiddles with the handle to his coffee cup and takes his phone that would accompany him for the rest of the night. He wasn't even that surprised when he got a notification from Dream. Oh wait, it wasn't a dm.

Really, sometimes everyone makes those tiny mistakes like where to put a comma in a sentence. George doesn't really bother since he might change the intended meaning of others; but with Dream's it's always so soft, he gets pissed with the stray or missing commas.

George stares at the screen, taking another gulp from his mug and then almost chokes as he laughs for the entire bit of this. He completely laughs at it for the sheer absurdity– at least for George. What is Dream even doing at this point? And how much did he spent both cracks up at this and wrote this all down by himself?

There were quote retweets of some that just cheers him on that just makes him grin uncontrollably; especially Bad who adores the fact that he gets extra hearts and the others that complain about getting lesser hearts. George absolutely doesn't have enough words to put how pleased he was with their words alone. 

Wait— George forgot about having his actual account credited. Oh, what the hell.

George switches accounts after getting to read that one last part a second time. He stares at the small notification he had in a while pop up in his actual account.

He blinks. And it was still there, waiting.

George then just closes twitter, trying not to let it bother him and he doesn’t think about it for the rest of the afternoon. He was suddenly not too tired or too awake as if his mind wasn't already reeling. More or so, he doesn't know— well, can't decide on what to say?

There wasn't anything wrong though. The messages and that thread were all light hearted and they had a good laugh about it. George let out a breath, feeling stupid that he felt so relieved at that thought. He's just all awkward and a little embarrassed now. And George tries not to make it any more obvious as he goes out to get food.

He spends the rest of the night feeling guilty for leaving Dream on read.

A small grin crept up on George's face as he reads the message just after Dream scolded him about this. Hell, he even had him get at least more pieces before George had to get groceries.

George blushes. He’s too flustered to reply to Dream’s message, and he doesn’t get any more messages from Dream for the rest of the night.

He’s not sure why this one sentence, this compliment from a somewhat stranger, makes his heart flutter in his chest like butterflies had just swarmed in. Perhaps they aren't exactly strangers with what Dream had written. And how he's taking it.
