“Here… Rabbits. A lot.” His long messy gray locks flowed in the air as he darted forward in a fluid, silent motion, crouching behind the bush ahead and concealing himself completely.
Bennett nearly dropped his mouth in awe, but he caught himself and followed Razor’s movements. His actions weren’t nearly as skilled and smooth as his companion’s, but Razor still nodded his head in approval.
A grin adorning his beaming face, he copied Razor’s stance, heart pumping so hard that he was nervous that his wolven friend would hear. He stretched himself up from his low position to try to get a clearer view of the forest glade, looking for the rabbits that were mentioned.
When he lifted himself even higher in anticipation, a gloved hand pushed his head down gently.
“Don’t look... Scares them away. Will know when rabbits come. Wait,” Razor whispered, staring into Bennett’s attentive wide and sparkling green eyes. He was rather perplexed at his usually loud friend’s bright expression, but it didn’t matter, as long as he was happy.
Bennett momentarily nodded vigorously, but he stopped himself again and instead took a deep breath, focusing his gaze through a tiny hole in the bush, not daring to breathe loudly.
Razor glanced at his side, not knowing why his friend was leaning in closer and closer into the bush without even blinking once. However, seeing his pursed lips curved up and his body practically jittering, Razor decided to ignore the strangeness.
Instead, an odd warmth tickled his heart, and he found himself with his own smile.
