♡~~CHAPTER 1~~♡
Anxiety basically seeped out of them as they took a final breath, they wasn’t ready. The person was seemingly counting on his fingers. Their stance was anxiety ridden as he sighed and went to look in the messenger bag on the bed for what seemed like the millionth time.

He has the palest skin you can think of while still being healthy. With curly black hair that ombred to a muted purple, that covered his eyes. Which was a muted purple. He was wearing a faded black jackets with patched holes with different darkly or muted purple color. With black skinny jeans and purpled and black boots.

He finally grabbed the bag and threw it over his shoulder. Walk quietly out of the door closing it slowly behind him. He slipped into the room next to his as quietly as possible.

There was a boy with hazel colored skin with pale splotches of skin randomly around. He had burgundy hair that ombred to a neon, yet easy to look at, yellow. He had scales on the left of his face with neon, still easy to look at, yellow eyes. He had black leather jacket with a yellow and black striped shirt underneath. With midnight blue pants and black and yellow boots.

"Hey V, gender?," The boy in the room said quietly as he looked up from his own backpack.

"Hey J, er demi-boy" The other, 'V', said just as quietly looking around the room. 'J' grabbed his bag and put it on.

"You ready bro?" J asked as he walked over. V nodded as he held out his hand. J grabbed his hand as his form was covered in a poof of yellow smoke. As the smoke cleared the boy was gone and a snake was on the arm of the other. The snake hissed and moved to be on the other neck.

"Alright let's get going eh?" V said as he walked and opened the lone window in the room. They swing their legs over the window as they look down. The window was only on the second floor, They’ve done this many times before. Yet as they looked down they seemed to be resistant to make the jump. The snake hissed at the other and he looked up seemingly understanding him.

"I know we aren't that far up," V said as they sighed . "I know I've done it before. I just don't like it."

V pushed their arms off of the ledge of the window to get some momentum. As they landed they did a roll. Standing up at the end of the roll they swept their jeans off with a sigh. He glanced back at the house with a happy look whispering, "Goodbye you assholes." As they walked the moon peaked over the trees slowly slipping under the tree tops.

~~

The moon long gone as the sun began to rise over the building in front of them. The town? No city. Came into view after miles of walking. They took a total of two stops the entire walk, which ended up being a couple hours. V looked around trying to spot the college they came to attend to get away. The snake poked the human and nodded in the direction of a cafe, the unspoken words of 'go get directions.'

The cozy cafe was at the corner of the street in front of them, plants overflowing from the pots above. The sign was polished and new golden looking letters spelled out the name, 'Jazz Coffee.' As they got closer V was able to see the beautiful wood that the counter and other furniture in the shop. The shop had bookshelves filled to the brim with books. As they pushed the glass door open the bell overhead jingled.

"Hello! Welcome to Jazz Coffee! My name is Willow! My pronouns are they/her. You?" The girl was standing behind the counter. They had pink hair and her makeup was flat out amazing. It stood out amazing on her golden skin. She had a dark purple apron over what seemed to be white button up. They were slightly taller than the other.

"Umm hi, names Virgil. I'm gender-fluid. Uh Do you know where the collage around here is?" V no Virgil stuttered out. Glancing up at her every few seconds, but for the most part looking at the floor in front of them.

"Sanders, right?" Willow said, looking around behind themselves and grabbing a notepad from the counter behind her, and plucking a pen from her pocket.

"Yes," he whispered out as he flicked their eyes around landing on the window watching the cars fly by, surprising no one was walking around. Trying to avoid all eye contact.

"Yep, let me write it out for you!" Willow piped up as she wrote the directions down. "You seem really nice, come back here and I'll give you some free coffee. Or Jazz will, I'll tell her."

"I- You don't have to," They said, continuing to look away. Having to manually breathe as the time passed. Before glancing up at the girl in front of him.

"Nonsense! What pronouns are using at the moment?" Willow asked as they finished writing. Looking up at the shorter smiling ear from ear.
"Uh he/they," Virgil said slightly louder than a whisper flicking his eyes down. Finally keeping his eye on the counter in front of them. Not looking at the person but it was an improvement.

"Welp here you go sir! Do you want anything to drink?" Willow asked, handing the other the paper. Virgil shook their head just ready to get away from the social interaction, "Alright see you again soon!"

The male nodded as they made their way to the door. Looking down at the paper as he did. 'Oh it's not that far away.'

~~

As the college came into view Virgil grew more jittery. His hands couldn't stop moving from pocket to pocket. He bounced on his feet a little as he walked.

The builds was average old builds with plan colors. It did have pride flags being flown under the American flag. The dorm building itself was about 9 floors tall. They had plenty of room from more than one dorm. Each dorm had a waiting room/hang out like area on the bottom with elevators and stairs. The next 5 floors has 10 dorms with 2 people per dorm. Floor 7 has 6 or 4 in some cases with 2-4 people per dorm. The top two floors, maybe more in some dorm cases, has 2 dorms with 4-6 people per dorm.

His head was low but just high enough to see the word 'Dorms S' pasted above the door in front of him. As he walked in the warm atmosphere it was almost overwhelming but nice, homey? He never really been in a homey place.

The room to the left was a waiting like room, reminding him of a hotel. The person behind the desk was on a computer typing away. There’s two elevators placed to the desk right and the stairs are a couple feet from the door on the right. He sighed as he walked to the desk wishing that Janus would do this. But said snake seemed to be asleep, and he stayed awake last all yesterday as he slept to keep them away from Virgil.

"H-Hello?" Virgil stuttered out as the person behind the desk looked up. Or he think he did.

"Hi! My name is Lin, are you here for your key?" Lin asked as he looked at them. The black fluffy hair covering his eyes, his skin was a beautiful tawney color and he had a very polite grin. The only thing that fully gave his gender was the gay flag pin he had on his shirt. Virgil hoped anyway.

"Er yes my name is Virgil," He whispered. He kept his gaze on desk, taking deep breaths to calm himself with.

"Virgil? Alright let me find you in the system, shouldn't take too long" the male hummed out a tune as he continued to type and clicked his mouse. "Virgil Dark?" He asked as he looked up. The other nodded. "Alright! Room 802. Top floor, the room on the right from the steps, left from the elevator."

"T-thanks, can I get my twin’s key too? He asked me to," Virgil asked at a low tone.

Surprisingly the other heard him, "Janus?" Virgil nodded. "Anddd here you go." He handed the keys to Virgil. "He's in the dorm across from you."

"Thank you," They whispered as he turned. Virgil decided the elevator would probably have cameras and headed towards the stairs. Hoping there was no cameras. He was disappointed he wasn't in the same dorm as the snake.

As he thought, no cameras. He shook said snake and put him on the floor. The snake was covered in a poof of smoke that grew to surround the human. Janus came into view as the scales retreated into his skin.

////

"I hate hiding those," Janus said, touching where his scales were under his hair. "And did you have to shake me awake?"

"You think you would get used to it," Virgil said teasingly as he began to walk up the stairs. Leaving the other little to no time to follow. They finally got to the top floor. Luckily they are used to running and walking long periods of times.

As said Virgil's room was the room to the right. Janus's door was next across from it. Virgil saw no other signs of life other than themselves. Both twins decided they were probably the first two here.

"I'm going to throw my bag in my room, and of course get the best room," Janus said quickly heading to the room. Virgil waited by their door with his foot propping open, having opened it as soon as Janus left. Janus came back and pushed the door open, "Alright I'll wait in here with you."

They entered the dorm and Virgil sighed, Yep not getting out of socializing. To the immediate left was the kitchen with a bar with four stools, connecting the living room. The living room had a couch on the wall to the left. A small coffee table was in the middle with a love seat in between it and the bar. An armchair was to the right of the coffee table, with a TV in front of the table. In each corner were large lamps that acted like willow trees. Big speakers sat by the TV. A bathroom directly in front of the door, a hallway to the left where they guessed the rooms were.

Honestly, how did he and Janus get into this? Right, this school there was a test to get in. Some paid in but for the most part you get in by per skill and smarts.

Janus signed them both up for the test and pulled Virgil to do it. Totally not against his will, not at all. They both surprisingly passed with flying colors. Janus was in for music and Virgil art. They treated their students with respect as they would want to be treated with the same respect back.

"I'm going to pick my room and get everything I can together," Virgil stated as he walked to the hallway.

"Okay. Have fun," Janus said teasingly as he walked to the living area.

The hallway was long but lit up beautifully. Virgil guessed they could decorate however. There was four doors two on each side, they were wide open showing he was the first one here. As they walked he glanced in each room. They seemly all seemed to have a bathroom which he loved. No having to share a bathroom. He feels kinda spoiled. The first door to the right had no windows and the first to the left had one. The back right one had one and the back left had two. They seemed to be the same size. The bathroom was on the wall shared with the other room.

Virgil chose the back right as it was in the back and had the least amount of windows in the back. He would've chosen the front right as it has no windows but it was, well in the front, in the middle of everything. He went in and closed the door behind him. Janus turned on the TV when he was picking the room and as soon as the door closed he could barely hear it. The only reason why he could was probably his super hearing.

The bed was left of the door up against the wall, the desk was in the back left. A dresser was in between the door and the bed. The bathroom was right to the door out. Nothing was in the back right yet.

They threw his bag on the bed and looked around. He'll have to get paints, as it is allowed to paint on the walls as long as you paint over it before you leave. If you were to come back another year they wouldn't make you though. Technically they don't even make people coming back the next year leave the dorms. They aren't allowed anywhere else on campus though. Hence why the dorms was on its own to the right of the main buildings.

Virgil was just out of the bathroom as they heard a certain succubus scream through the dorm. He heard it louder than the TV but it was still muffled, Virgil silently thanked the universe for soundproofing. Virgil opened his door as he heard Remy talk loudly to Janus. As he walked into the living room Remy was draped over his brother.

Both Janus and Virgil consider Remy to be an honorary sibling.

Remy had on a black jacket with white seams that for the most part they had tied around their waist. Like right now. They had dark blue slim jeans and black and white high tops. Their hair was walnut brown and had black ombre white tips. It was fluffy and covered their face up to their sunglasses. That no matter what they had on. Under those glasses their eyes are black on the right and white on the left. With Ivory colored skin.

Remy being 5’9 on top of Janus who is 6’ looked small. Tho Virgil next to them make them seemed tall, as he is 5’4. He really doesn’t have good gene luck.

As soon as Remy spotted Virgil though he left Janus. Basically bouncing over as he talked, "Hey Virgy I brought you some coffee as black as your soul." The smile they had was wicked as they both thought back to the time Remy brought him milk and almost died cause it was early in the morning as Virgil had 1 hour of sleep for the past few days.

"You wouldn't dare," Virgil said coldly as he let the other hug him. Remy pulled back, sighing lightly as they walked to the bar grabbing a cup of coffee.

Handing to Virgil as they said, "Black coffee with light sugar for you." Virgil grabbed it nodding at them and walked over to the love seat where their twin was.

"Move," He said as he hovered at the right side where Janus's legs were. Janus and Virgil stared at each other for a few seconds as Remy laughed. This was normal, it was a way to see who would back down first. Finally Janus reluctantly moved his feet so the other could sit.

"Thanks," they stated as they sat. Remy threw themself over the two with a grin.

Remy meet the twins when they were 7 and snuck out of the house. With what they have done it was a miracle they were alive. They don’t talk about the summer of Virgil 15 year.

The three continued to watch TV. Then the door was opened and conversation filled the room. As Remy jumped up saying something to Emilie while Virgil slid down the couch as if to hide. Janus looked between Virgil and the group and laughed. Virgil glared as mean as he could, tho he knew he couldn’t scare Janus.

////

Emile and Remy were happily talking while the two of the other three kept the conversation between them, the third jumped in with Emile and Remy. Emilie himself had wheat colored skin. And was wearing a beige sweater vest with a white shirt under it. Baggy blue pants and some black and white tennis shoes. His hair was short and a light ash blonde with pink tips. He had some plain square glasses and a small pink bowtie on. Emile is about 5'4, it helped Virgil feel less short.

The tallest, one of the two that kept their conversation going, had copper hair with red tips and had the sides cut with fluff on top. He has tan colored skin. He had red eyes and had a white baseball jacket and had red accents. He probably had a red R on the back to finish the look, but they can't tell. Blue skinny jeans with white and red converse. He had to be like 6'4~ish. At least in the general area to Emile and Remy. Which to be fair is small.

The second tallest was also one who kept the conversation with the other. He had light brown hair with dark blue tips. He had fawn colored skin. His hair was cut in a simple look and he had similar glasses to Emile. He had a midnight blue jacket with a simple white button up under it, not to forget the blue and black striped tie. He had simple black jeans on and blue tennis shoes, His eyes is a dark blue. He looked like the definition of simple and boring. He looked like he was 5'8.

The shortest of the three, who was currently having a conversation with Remy and Emile, had caramel colored hair with light blue tips that was also super fluffy. He had cameo colored skin. He had overall shorts on with white stockings and blue and white high tops. He had a simple blue t-shirt and a cat cardigan wrapped around his neck. His eyes were light blue and seemingly glowed in the light. With who knows how many bracelets on his arms. Virgil wonders if the other two has a matching one. He stood right next to Emile which gave Virgil a better view of his height, which seemed to be around 5'6.

Janus stood up offering a hand to his sibling on the couch. The other sighed as he took his hand and was pulled up. He really didn’t want to do this. They are hating Janus a little more now.

~~

"Janus! Virgil! How are you two doing?" Emile said, making his way over to them. Virgil doubled checked that where he soulmate mark would be was covered.

Roman finally looked over at the three who was in the dorm. Pausing at the shortest of the three with one simple thought, fuck. Looking at his soulmates he was happy to see he wasn't the only one. Patton seemed star struck and Logan continued to stare. Which was probably the best reaction you'll get from him. Other than Logan, he doesn’t count, he was holding his blush back better. How you hold back blush anyway?

"Anyways!" Emile said loudly, grabbing everyone's attention. He seemed to be good at this.
"This is Virgil," Emile said, pointing to the shortest, "Th-Pronouns?" The other two laughed as Virgil shook his head.
"Demi-Boy for simplicity," Virgil stated, and he sounds hot to fuckkkkkk. Screw Roman and he gay panic. “But I’m gender fluid to be compaticty.”

"He's the sane one out of the three," Emile finished and the other two scoffed. Then the one with yellow tips snickered at Virgil. Why? Roman missed it.

"That's Janus," He said as he pointed at the one next to him, "He's Virgil brother." I think I’ve heard that name before. Roman thought looking him over before shrugging it off.

"That's what I'm boiled down to now?" He said throwing his hands up. “Not even the smart one?”

"And that's Remy," He said gesturing to the last while ignoring the complaining Janus, "They're non-binary and Janus and Virgil honorary sibling." They just waved at them. Glancing at the other two, who Janus was seemingly being calmed by Virgil.

"That's Roman," He said, pointing at him, which he just smiled and waved.

"That's Logan and that's Patton," He listed as he points, "They are all soulmates."

Clapping his hands together he stated, "Remus is our roommate and he's a Roman brother. So any questions?"

No one said anything and some shook their heads. "Alright come children," he said as he walked towards the door the other two following.
Virgil stayed for a whopping two seconds after the door closed before heading to what he guessed was the room he claimed. He did a little two finger salute as they left. Leaving the three basically love stuck in his wake.

They aren't going to survive the school year.
