Summary:

(I AM NO LONGER IN THE FOOLISH CREW FANDOM AND DO NOT WISH TO BE ASSOICATED WITH THIS FIC ANYMORE.)

How well do you REALLY know your "friends"?

The crew has finally escaped from the surface of Polus after being stranded for what was only 2 months for them, but 10 months for everyone back home. They have safely ventured home, but that's the last of their reliefs. How exactly do you explain that one of your members killed 4 people? How do you explain Nadwe being an angel? And HOW do you explain that FATE is now with you? You can't! Living a normal life is far from Angelwe's grasp, as he learns what it means to be.. different.

But what happens when someone you thought you knew.. was the true traitor who caused it all? What happens if a group now seeks you out for your power?

The crew soon realize..

It would've been better to be stranded on Polus forever.

Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

---------

It's been a little over a month since the reconnection.

---------

*ding* *ding*

Oof flicked his bike bell, signaling his presence to the people walking along the sidewalk. It was quite crowded, but that's what happens when you live in a city next to the space company that set off for another planet. Tourists all want to see the launch site.

It was sunset, but the sun had just gone from view, behind the thick trees in Verona Forest. Oof was rushing to go home, it had been a busy day for him at Mira. You know, being in charge of their biggest mission?

Too many people were also going home, so Oof reared onto the road, away from the busy traffic. But, truth is, he doesn't live in the city. He lives in a neighborhood right next to it. Not too busy, it's nice.

Oof felt the shift of tone in the air as he exited the outskirts of the city buildings. The noise was getting more and more muffled the further he went.

It got dark out fast. The moon shone down, with thick rays since it was a full moon tonight. That's helpful.

Pedalling faster since he really wanted to go home, Oof sped down the empty road. He still looked left and right, he's not that dumb.

With one final turn, he stopped in front of his house. He decided to glance behind him, facing the hill that lead to the forest. Wait.. is there someone up there?

Oof went inside with his bike, leaving it in the garage where it always waits. But instead of heading upstairs to his room, he exited the house. Time to figure out who's up there.

It's not hard to get up the hill at all. It's not steep, but it is high up. When he got to the top and saw who it was, only one thing came out of his mouth.

"N-Nadwe..?" He stuttered, seeing a boy wearing a suit and top hat sitting down on the grass. But then he remembered something.

Nadwe's dead.

Oof was about to run away in embarrassment, but before he could, the boy turned around.

"Hello? Did you just say Nadwe?"

That's when he realized the blood red eyes staring at him. Oh. This IS Nadwe, but not the same one that went on the space mission.

That's the Nadwe that joined him with the others on the SMP.

His name isn't actually Nadwe, but it's Charlie. Nadwe's identical twin. The crew took him on the SMP by accident, only because they looked identical, and Socks grabbed the first one of them he saw.

It turned out that, his vampire self on the SMP FOLLOWED HIM OUT. He's a real life vampire. Wearing the same outfit as he did then.

"Wait, Oof is that you?" Charile tilted his head, recognizing him.

"Oh, it's just you Charile.." He sighed.

"Still busy with the crew, eh?" The vampire stood up, releasing his wings.

"Yeah, we did regain contact with them, remember?" Oof reminded him, which prompted a sentence from the boy.

"Man, I can't wait to see Nadwe again, it's been 10 months for crying out loud!"

Oof didn't have the heart to tell him.

"Me too, buddy. Anyways.. what are you doing out here?" Oof changed the subject.

"Being outside when I can be, duh! The day is boring anyways. Also I get to stargaze." Charile nodded, sitting back down and facing the forest again.

"Can I join you?" Oof respectfully asked him. Charile nodded again, although not turning his head. Oof carefully sat down next to him, staring up into the dark sky.

They spent an hour or so watching the stars, a peaceful atmosphere around them.

But then.. Oof saw it.

Something.. came into view in the night sky. It wasn't very big, so Charile thought it was just another star coming into view. But when Oof narrowed his eyes and focused on it, he realized what it was.

"Charile. Come with me."

"Huh? Wh-"

"They're back. We need to go to Mira HQ."

"Immediately . "

~~Angelwe's POV~~

"Hey.. Wake up..."

"WAKE UP DUMBASS!!"

My eyes shot open, and I saw Socks standing over me, clicking two of his fingers together.

"Finally.. come on Angelwe, we're nearing the atmosphere."

I sat up. I was about to scream at him, but then the whole ship shook. I slept for quite some time then..

Socks grabbed my hand in a tight grip, beginning to forcefully drag me out of the room. I didn't resist, in fact I just followed, using my wings to stabilize myself before I tripped up eventually.

We had successful escaped Polus, albeit a few bumps were made during the takeoff. The trip back was.. peaceful. With Joocie gone, nobody died. All the murdering stopped.

The ghosts are following us back, only because they didn't want to be stuck on Polus for all eternity. Respectable.

Socks dragged me into the dropship, handing me off to TBVG.

"For a moment there, I thought nobody would ever get you up. How did it take FOUR unsuccessful attempts from us for you to arise?" He reprimanded me, but quickly laughed soon after. I gave a nervous smile, folding my wings back in.

"Wait, you were able to breathe on Polus without your spacesuit.. I don't think I need to put it on for the landing." TBVG had picked up my spacesuit, but quickly put it back after his statement. He's right. I should be fine.

"Angelwe, I'm over here." Muffin waved his arms, much to the displeasure of Meme, sitting next to him. I guess I should still sit down and buckle in.

Once I got into Muffin's reach range, he tugged my arm towards my seat. I really didn't need that. TBVG sat down next to us, and decided to buckle me in before I could do myself.

Zephyr.. both him and I are risking a lot here. He said he couldn't merge back with Blaza now that he's in his physical form, so he has taken Joocie's seat on the ship. Fate itself, sitting casually on a seat, willing to show himself just like that. And I'm here, forced to show my new form to everyone who cared about me.

Maybe he just knows they can't really do anything to him.

When Socks strapped himself back in, the ship started to shake violently. I guess our timing was perfect. The autopilot speaker tried to announce something as I could feel the gravity pulling us down.

"NOW LANDING. PLEAS-"

It couldn't finish before everything turned to static. Everyone around me was barely holding onto their consciousness, except Zephyr for obvious reasons. I closed my eyes, and braced for the impact.

---------

Oof was within view of Mira HQ, racing against the clock on his bike to make it in time for the landing. The Skeld was already very close to its landing, and if Oof missed it...

Oh boy. That's an instant scolding by his friends and peers.

Charile was barely holding onto Oof, grasping him by his shirt as they sped up even more.

"HOW ARE WE GONNA SLOW DOWN?!" Charile screamed, watching as his surroundings blurred.

"RELAX, I'VE GOT THIS." That was all Oof said back to him.

"HOW THE FUCK AM I MEANT TO RELAX WHILE I'M HOLDING ON FOR DEAR LIFE HERE???" He was seriously questioning his decision to get on the bike, but it's also NIGHT TIME. IT'S DARK.

When the front doors were in clear view, Oof gripped the brakes as hard as he could. they both only barely managed to not crash. But by the time they stopped...

The Skeld had also landed.

Charile jumped down, trying to catch his breath from what he thinks was a near-death experience, when Oof grabbed his arm and ran inside with him.

---------

~~Angelwe's POV~~

...

What the fuck happened?

"...Hello?" I opened my eyes to check if everything was alright, and everyone was awake. I guess the landing was easier than the take off.  Then, it opened.

The dropship door of the Skeld opened, and lights instantly shone inside.

I glanced over to the Socks, who had unbuckled himself, which in turn made everyone else do the same, even me myself. An intercom blared out.

"SOCKS, CAN YOU HEAR US?"

Socks nodded to himself.

"I'll go out first. You all follow after, got it?" He glanced at everyone, we all nodded back. Socks turned around, walking over to the door in his spacesuit.

"We're.. alive." Socks stepped out, causing an uproar of cheers from the Mira employees all around. He was followed by Meme and Blaza, the latter covering his now blinded eye. Nobody really questioned it.

Everyone else walked out in a single file line, the cheering only continuing onward.

Now it was time for both Zephyr and I to come out. I was nervous. How is everyone gonna feel? My PARENTS are here! When I was about to make a dash for inside the ship, Zephyr stopped me with one of his wings.

"Come on.. who cares how people will feel? I'm here to protect you. Just.. stay close." He tried to encourage me, but I was still hesitant. I only went out because Zephyr forced me forward.

When we both walked out..

Silence.

Deafening silence was in the air. It was eerie, everyone keeping their distance from me and Zephyr. But for some reason.. they were more focused on me. Zephyr slowly backed up, but was still very focused on everyone. I turned to face him worryingly, but the look in his eyes told me he was ready.

The silence continued for about 10 seconds, when an employee broke the silence.

"FREAK!"

Suddenly, everyone rushed forward.

Shit. This isn't good.

I looked around fast. People had surrounded me and were yelling. I knew nobody would take this well. I huddled under my wings, but when I did, I felt something hit my back.

I tried to look back up through my wings.

...

Wait.. huh..?

Everything's a blur.. what's going on..?
Why am I..

Why am.. I... shutting down...

Right before I collapsed, I heard a voice call out.. one all too familiar to me.

"ENOUGH! LEAVE MY BROTHER ALONE!"

Chapter 3: Guardians Relinquish

Chapter Text

A mess. That's what the landing zone was. Charlie had seen what the employees were doing to Angelwe, as he arrived a minute prior to him exiting the ship. So when everyone rushed forward..

So did he.

Screams of anger soon turned to screams to horror as this 15 year old child started to pick up and THROW fully grown adults at each other, blood was definitely spilled in that process. It took four throws for everyone to step away from Angelwe, who had completely collapsed. Meme ran towards both of them, picking up Angelwe.

Then they felt something lodged into his back.

That's a knife. Someone stabbed him.

---------

~~Meme's POV~~

Oh. Oh my god. He's bleeding badly.

I don't know what happened, all I know is that I ran on instinct. My body knew something bad had happened.

And seeing this..  I no longer know how to feel about my own co-workers.

Why does this have to happen to Angelwe twice..?

I'll think about it later.

"TBVG, I NEED DIRE ASSISTANCE HERE!!" I called out for TBVG, knowing he would easily come to my aid in this situation. Just as I thought, he ran over, way faster than I did. He helped me carry the angel over the hospital rooms in the building.

I worry for Angelwe's mental state.

---------

Dear Diary

I fear the worst. We did get Angelwe to the emergency room, yes, but it's been five hours. He hasn't woken up yet. The knife in his back was pulled out very slowly, but the moment it was out we rushed to stop the bleeding it caused.

Charlie, Zephyr, Muffin and TBVG are all in here with me. The four closest people to Angelwe other than me. Zephyr is blaming himself for this, claiming he should've been able to stop them, but couldn't due to his powers recharging from helping us rebuild the Skeld. Charlie hasn't left his brother's side ever since we brought him here.

Sometimes I forget they are twins. More like were now.

We are scanning Angelwe now, just to get information on him and his condition.

-Signed, Meme

---------

SCANNING SPECIMEN..

SCAN COMPLETE. NOW DISPLAYING PROFILE..

-----

Name:  Nadwe  ( Angelwe ) Morigale

Height: 5'7

Hair colour: Black

Eye colour: Brown (white pupils)

Species: Angel-Human hybrid

DNA: 55.73% Angel, 43.27% Human, 1% ???

Condition:  Slightly unstable, Alive

-----

"Oh." Meme stared at the results in front of him. He only scanned him for check his health, and now he knows everything he needs to know about Angelwe. The DNA part was interesting to him, but he completely glanced over the 1%.

As Meme was about to tap the screen, Angelwe opened his eyes.

"Mmmm... hello?" Angelwe slowly sat up from the bed, suddenly being met with Charlie's glance. This shocked him, evident by the angel jumping back slightly.

"...Charlie?" He rubbed his eyes, staring at the vampire in front of him, who looked very similar to him. But when he realized that everyone else in the room was making eye contact with him, he got a little bit worried.

"Meme?? Why are they all staring at m-" Meme was also staring. Angelwe spotted a mirror on the table next to his bed, snatching it swiftly. When he stared into it, he noticed it himself.

His white pupils were no longer round, but instead replaced by 8-pointed stars, identical to Zephyr.

Yeah, that's a good reason to stare.

"What?" Angelwe only stared at his eyes for a solid minute. He only stopped when Zephyr stood up and approached him. One of his wings placed itself on Angelwe's shoulder.

"That's not good. And that's coming from FATE. Despite them being identical to mine, I have no idea why your pupils have changed in this way." Zephyr explained, stumped at this revelation. He thought to himself for a moment, but before he could suggest ANY ideas, two adults entered the room.

They were a male and a female.

The female had black hair, and her eyes were crystal blue.

The male was slightly taller than the female, with black hair and dark brown eyes.

Charlie started to sweat immediately, knowing exactly who they were.

Him and Angelwe's parents. The Morigales.

---------

Socks stared at the TV screen in the main meeting room for Mira, worrying about his co-workers and crew. The news was on. Nothing unusual. Although, after a while, Socks pulled out his phone, losing interest in it.

That was... until it happened.

-----

--! BREAKING NEWS !--

The Socks Crew have finally come back after 10 months of being lost in space. But, they came back with something society has never seen, and was thought to only exist in myths and religions. That's right. An angel...

But that's not all! A deity who calls itself 'Zephyr' has also arrived to Earth with them. It claims it is Fate itself. If you see these two figures anywhere, please call 911 immediately. They are dangerous and need to be captured. We need to keep them captive at all costs to ensure the safety of everyone around the world.

We will update you if anything arises.

-----

"Oh hell no. That's not happening." Socks thought as he clicked on the remote, saving that news broadcast as a recording. He needs to tell the others befo-

*WHAM*

"Good luck with that."  A robotic voice boomed as Socks was slammed in the head, knocking him out. Socks was quickly dragged out of the room.

---------

"Mom? Dad?" Charlie stared at his parents, who only looked disappointed.

"Where is Nadwe? My other son?" His dad asked, staring down Meme.

"He's right there, sir.." Meme pointed at Angelwe, who was also sweating. His mother quickly pushed past them to get a look at what 'Nadwe' had become.

"This isn't funny, Meme. Where is Nadwe? This is not him." His mother demanded Meme to show her where her son was.

"..That IS Nadwe, ma'am.. he goes by Angelwe now." Meme stood his ground, getting frustrated at her for not believing him.

"Erin is right. That's not our son. That's some weird freak in his place." His dad walked next to Erin, his wife, and spoke to Meme in an angered tone.

In front of everyone else. TBVG, Muffin, Angelwe, Charlie and Zephyr.

"M-Mom... Dad.. I promise that is Nadwe.. Why w-would I lie about this?" Charlie stuttered, trying his best to stand up for his own twin. Muffin, absolutely pissed, was only being held back by TBVG.

"Hunter, what do you think of this.. angel?" Erin asked him, sounding more scared than anything.

"..."

"That's not my son." Hunter replied, making direct eye contact with Angelwe. Tears formed in the angel's eyes.

"EXCUSE ME?!" Three people in unison shouted, those being Charlie, TBVG and Muffin.

"He's not my son. My son wouldn't look like a freak." Hunter turned around, and stormed out of the room. Erin slowly followed, turning her head towards Angelwe AND Charlie.

"Don't come back. You're on his side, Charlie. I can tell. Don't come back to our house. You aren't our children anymore." She turned away, following her husband out of the door.

Nobody wanted to speak after that.

Chapter 4: Nobody's Gone Forever

Chapter Text

~~???'s POV~~

I tapped my pen on the desk in front of me. Ever since that crew returned..

I've felt different. Like a greater power has altered every view I've had.

No matter.

I'm only waiting for my... acquaintances to return.

If they survived, that is.

Well actually, I'm not the one in charge here. I'm second-in-command. The actual leader of this... group isn't here. Hopefully he's back in a few days.

*knock knock*

Ah.

"Is it who I think it is?" I called out to the trapdoor above.

"Yes it is. And I have someone to show you."

That's one of the voices I needed to hear.

"Alright, come in." I pressed a button on the desk, unlocking the trapdoor. The robot who entered was silver steel all over, with glowing red eyes that could pierce the soul.

In his arms, he was carrying an unconscious man.

"I'm glad to see at least you survived that trip." I groaned, noticing the disturbing lack of a certain other member.

"It wasn't too hard, I simply blended in smoothly. But I bring bad news upon my return."

"Oh? What is it then?"

"I'm not the only thing that stayed after the  SMP   simulation ."

Of course. Why should I of thought everything would go in my favour?

"Good to know.." I'll keep that in mind.

"I have Socks here. The leader of the crew." The robot dropped him on the ground, not caring for any damage it may cause to the spaceman.

"Thank you, L4FF. You brought exactly what we needed. I'll be sure to tell the boss." I stood up, walking towards the man now on the ground. I leaned down and began speaking to him.

"YOU have something WE want. We know about Angelwe thanks to L4FF here. Just know, if you don't obey our orders.."

"You'll be in for a world of pain."

---------

"I expected a lot of things today, but us getting DISOWNED by our parents was not one of them!" Charlie was talking to himself angrily, while Angelwe was visibly letting tears fall.

"TBVG.. should we.." Muffin was going to suggest something, but TBVG already knew what he was going to say.

"Yes. Yes we will." He looked over at the twins, who were understandably still distressed. Muffin grabbed his hand as they slowly got up to approach them.

"You two." TBVG stared at them, Angelwe somehow connecting the dots pretty quickly.

Charlie turned around. "What."

"You're MINE now. I'll take way better care of you than those excuses of parents ever did." TBVG raised his voice at the twins, who looked at each other in response to that statement.

"LET'S G-" Charlie's joy was loudly interrupted by Blaza bursting through the doors.

"GUYSSOCKSANDLAFFAREBOTHGONEAND-" Blaza tried to rush his sentence out, visibly panicked and shaky. Zephyr lightly lift his hand to stop him from talking for the moment.

"Blaza calm down! We didn't understand any of that." Zephyr stared Blaza down. He took a few deep breaths before he spoke normally.

"Sorry.. but Socks and Laff have just... disappeared. I can't find either of them anywhere."

"Maybe they just went home? It is super late and perhaps wanted to see their families again after all this." Angelwe spoke, trying to think of the best case scenario.

"But Socks would always tell me if he was leaving like this suddenly..." Blaza whimpered.

"Don't worry about it. I'm sure he's fine." Angelwe dismissed him, but did take in the information.

Laff was known for disappearing randomly to go home at night, so nothing was thought of it.

If only he knew that was all because L4FF was taking control, and Laff knew it well.

Blaza sat down for a moment, thinking about Socks. TBVG checked the time, noticing it was 1 in the morning.

That means...

"ATTENTION ALL  MIRA  EMPLOYEES. IT IS NOW 1AM, WHICH MEANS YOUR SHIFTS ARE OVER. PLEASE REMEMBER TO LOCK ALL THE DOORS BEFORE LEAVING FOR THE NIGHT."

Yep.

"Well, can't argue with that." Muffin sighed, getting up. He's not even meant to be here at this time normally. It was a tiring day, especially since he just got back, but he assumed he could make it.

Meme got everyone to leave the room, saying he would lock up everything once he packed up.

"Guys? I'm not going to be coming with you.." Zephyr shrunk himself slightly so he wouldn't hit his head on the ceiling.

"Huh? Why not?" Angelwe asked him, curious.

"I have... some people to talk to." Zephyr motioned his hands in a way they hadn't seen yet.

"They're other embodiments if you really want to know!" He sped up the hand movements, until... he just vanished into thin air.

"I'm.. not gonna question it." Charlie stared, being the least experienced with Zephyr out of the group.

Angelwe and Charlie were released outside, staring at the landscape surrounding them. Muffin and TBVG slowly followed, Blaza went his own way home.

It has been so long since Angelwe had seen this... view..

After a little while of admiring the Earth, Charlie beckoned for Angelwe to follow him. They walked for a while, but then quickly released they could both fly instead.

"Wait, since you're Angelwe now.. can I have the name Nadwe as a nickname?" Charlie asked nicely.

"I don't see why not." Angelwe shrugged, not caring too much about his old name.

"Hell yeah."

"ANGELWE, CHARLIE, COME BACK DOWN HERE." TBVG yelled, but not in an angry way. Both of them immediately swooped down, assuming they were in trouble.

"Don't worry. You aren't in trouble. I just noticed you were heading towards your parents house, and you don't live there anymore. You're coming to my house instead." He reassured the twins, who looked visibly afraid when he called them.

"Right.." Angelwe said before joining the group, Charlie close behind.

They walked slowly through the neighborhood next to the city, trying to avoid all human contact and successeding.

"Angelwe.." Muffin groaned, slowly walking next to the angel.

"What is it, Muffin?" Angelwe tilted his head a bit, watching Muffin clutch onto his left arm.

"Can you just carry me.. I'm way too tired.." Muffin leaned on him, prompting Angelwe to grab him.

In only a few moments, Muffin was comfortably placed on Angelwe's back, while his arms were around his shoulders, tightly gripped in Angelwe's hands so he wouldn't fall off.

It felt nice.

TBVG silently giggled at the interaction, while Charlie held a small thumbs up.

When they got to TBVG's house, everyone threw themselves into different rooms. His house was meant for guests, so there was quite a few bedrooms.

Charlie slammed and locked a bedroom door and disassociated himself from everyone for the rest of the night.

Angelwe threw Muffin down onto a bed, leaving him to sleep.

TBVG was in his own bedroom, silently laying down on the bed he missed for a long time.

Angelwe? Put himself on a bed to start thinking about everything that has happened, telling himself one thing until he fell asleep.

It's time to start a new beginning.

---------

It was dark.

All the other Mira employees had shut down all the lights and left (Oof trusted that Charlie would be fine), leaving Meme in a pitch black medical bay.

Alone.

He grabbed a flashlight on the shelf, which had been untouched since he left. Turning it on, he begun to pack up the stuff he took out.

But.. then he heard someone.

"Ah, hello Meme."

Meme immediately pointed the flashlight to the corner the voice came from, only to be met with the worst thing he could imagine.

It was a yellow glowing ghost wearing a hoodie and a juice cup clip in it's hair. A hole was going through its chest area, as if it was cleanly cut out. It smiled at Meme, but not in a friendly way.

"J-"

"JOOCIE?!"

Meme screamed at the top of his lungs. Absolutely not. This is NOT who he wanted to see.

Despite everything, a conversation started.

"Wow, someone's real scared there.. weakling."

"OF COURSE I'M SCARED! YOU DIED! YOU SHOULDN'T BE HERE."

"You're right, I did die. But you knew it couldn't of been that easy. Now listen here.." Joocie's eyes flared.

"You either comply with me, or I'll do more damage to your friends than you could ever imagine."

"Already have.." Meme tried to whisper.

"I can hear you, bitch."

"Whatever. Fuck off."

"Well, it's clear you won't comply.."

"Do. Not. Come. Any. Closer." Meme stood back, keeping the flashlight on Joocie at all times.

"I can't say that he'll miss you much after this." Joocie approached regardless.

"STAY. BACK."

"What are you gonna do against me though, Meme?"

"..."

"Exactly."

"They'll know it's you, Joocie."

"Oh, but they won't. You're so easy to act out."

"You little bi-"

"Think of this as you paying me back for not killing TBVG when we made that deal."

Joocie flew forwards, disappearing into Meme's body, flinging him into the back wall.

When Meme's eyes opened, his eyes were a glowing yellow. He stared down at his hands.. and laughed.

Laughing about being in a physical body again, and also over what he was about to do.

He was in full control.

But first.. he needed to make this less obvious.

The medical bay had all sorts of stuff thrown about, as Joocie searched for something important, using the flashlight as a small light source.

After about 15 minutes of searching, he found them.

Contact lenses identical to Meme's eye colour.

Carefully placing them in, he stared into the mirror...

Smiling like a maniac in Meme's body.

But..

While this was going on, another ghost was secretly watching, using his power to stay out of Joocie's sight.

"Shit.." After seeing what he needed to see, the ghost fled the scene.

"We should've kept a better eye on him.."

Chapter 5: Never Taunt Fate

Chapter Text

( tw : death and mentions of being burned alive)

Your  life slipping  away right in front of you.. I've felt the same.

But that doesn't mean I'll take pity on you.

---

Lynn sat on her bed. Today was a dream come true but also a nightmare in reality. She hoped that even after Joocie's message on the radio, at least the others would survive. She really didn't expect Nadwe to still be alive.. mostly. Then again, nobody did. And FATE? Don't even get her started on that.

She just wanted to sleep, maybe get a grip on the new reality around her.

Tenson had 'escaped' the carnage with Lynn that was occurring in Mira when Charlie was going through a vampire rage state. For a valid reason too.

"Nadwe really didn't deserve that treatment from his co-workers, just because he's an angel now doesn't mean he's... a freak. In fact, I think it's amazing." She kept thinking to herself.

No matter how much Tenson or her co-workers tell her that Nadwe is a huge threat to everyone around him..

Her opinion won't change on him.

Suddenly, the TV at the end of Lynn's bed flashed on, displaying the same warning that Socks had seen before getting kidnapped.

Lynn stared at the warning intently, carefully reading the words that were displayed.

"Shut up stupid news channel.. he hasn't even hurt anyone.." Lynn switched off the TV with the remote, placing it on her nightstand just in case it turned on again.

The silence in the room afterwards was a bit eerie, but it was welcomed as Lynn slowly drifted to sleep.

---

~~TBVG'S POV~~

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock. It was 8am, which normally would mean I would have to go to work in an hour. But since I just got back from the trip, I get a MONTH OFF. Which is just.. amazing. It also means I can take care of the children without work interruptions.

I don't have a very interesting life. That's for sure. All I did was wake the kids, Charlie included, just to make sure they came down for food.

One by one they came out of their rooms, as I closed all the curtains to ensure Charlie couldn't get hit by any sunlight.

We all sat to eat our food around the table, when my phone vibrated with a text.

"Oh? Who's messaging me this early?" I picked up my phone and unlocked it, checking the messages app.

"Who's it from?" Muffin asked me, leaning over to take a closer look.

"It's from Meme. He says he wants to see Angelwe, as now he can finally put his 'plan in action'.. Angelwe, do you know about this?" TBVG asked.

"Yeah. It's about helping me hide my wings in public." Angelwe nodded, folding his wings in.

"I'll go alone so he can do this in peace."

"Are you sure you can go alone? I mean, what if someone sees y-" Muffin asked him, a bit confused at Angelwe's logic.

"I'll be going through the forest so nobody sees me, don't worry!"

"I only have that choice anyways..." Angelwe thought.

Angelwe flew out the door, TBVG making sure he actually did enter the forest. He kept his promise and disappeared into the trees, prompting TBVG to close the door behind him.

Now it's just time to wait for his return.

Charlie walked up to his room again after Angelwe left, preparing to go back to sleep until at least 4pm.

But that wouldn't end up happening.

Tbh's ghost entered TBVG'S house, flying around the house looking for Charlie, who he knew was a vampire by seeing him when everyone got back to Earth.

When he found him, he thought about his actions for a second, then proceeding with them.

"CHARLIE!!" Tbh's ghost yelled out, not expecting it to work... but it did.

"Ow- Wh- Tbh???" Charlie stared directly at the ghost.

"WAIT, YOU REALLY CAN SEE AND HEAR ME???" Tbh yelled more.

"YES, I CAN, STOP YELLING." Charlie covered his ears.

"Alright, this might be hard to take in, but... I don't think you made the right choice in letting Angelwe go alone." He claimed, his face looking weary.

"Why not? Angelwe is one of the most capable people I know! And besides, you can trust Meme. He's always been there for us!"

"That wasn't Meme."

"...Come again?"

"The text TBVG received was from Meme, yes, but that wasn't actually Meme himself."

"It was Joocie. And you already got told by your brother that he was the one who killed him in the first place, right?"

"...I did."

"I watched Joocie possess Meme last night and I came to tell you right now. I know you're half vampire and but you're also still half human. You can stay awake in the day longer."

"So what should we do, Tbh?"

"Call me Tobias. We need to get to Mira as quick as possible."

"Do I tell the others, like Muffin and TBVG?"

"Yes. Tell them. They are as concerned for Angelwe's safety as you are. If you tell them you feel unsure about it, they'll gladly go along with you. Just remember to take your cape with you."

"Of course. Thank you for the information, Tobias. Maybe you aren't so bad as you were when you were alive."

"...shut up. Let's just go."

Tbh floated beside Charlie as he ran to tell the others. They agreed with him in feeling that something was wrong, and they all left TBVG'S house together.

Now it's a race to Mira HQ before anything bad happens.

---

Joocie finished the preparations, ready to strike the moment Angelwe entered the facility. It was 8:15am, so nobody was in yet. Except for him, and soon Angelwe.

As if he predicted it, Angelwe was heard entering Mira HQ.

And him entering medbay like the text asked.

Meme shut his eyes, not wanting to see what Joocie was going to do.

He heard Angelwe's shocked voice, but nothing after it..

What?

Meme opened his eyes again, seeing Angelwe being unresponsive and silent.

Oh god..

"My job here is done. Now let's see if he lets you live after that." Meme's spirit looked like it was crying, remembering similarly to Tbh's death on Polus after he put Angelwe through torture, it becoming his own downfall.

"Sayonara!!" Joocie exited Meme's body, causing his spirit to get sucked back into it. The ghost quickly darted through the medbay walls, disappearing before Angelwe could notice him at all.

Shit.

Meme expected Angelwe to snap his head towards him and kill him instantly, but instead..

He only stood there, wings folded in, head down, completely unresponsive.

"A-Angelwe??" He hesitated to speak, but his instinct to care for others kicked in naturally.

The angel lifted his head up, but didn't turn to face Meme. Instead, the worst case scenario happened.

"Don't taunt Fate itself." Angelwe's voice echoed through the room, his wings shooting open in an instant. THEN he turned to face Meme, and the sight shocked him.

Angelwe's eyes had kept the pupils, but his eye colour was matching Zephyr's eyes. He raised his arms up, only for Meme to run into the opposite corner of the room.

And that seemed to be a good call.

The ground started to shake, and strange blue flames surrounded Angelwe which only grew bigger by the second. A barrier formed around both his hands, which seemingly caused him to control the fire. Two balls of fire rose from the raging flames, accompanying Angelwe, both on opposite sides from one another.

Meme started to huddle together again, just like when Joocie was about to kill him. He hoped for a miracle to save him once again..

...to no avail.

"Meme." Angelwe slowly walked to the corner he was huddling in.

"Listen. You saved me, or at least, that's what I thought. But really, you've just caused me MORE pain. I thought I could finally live a quiet life again, and then you pull THIS stunt off." He began to monologue, while flickering one of the blue fireballs in his hand.

"I'd say sorry to you in your last moments Meme, but honestly, I really don't mean it."

"Oh, and one last thing...

...call me Fatedarer."

Fatedarer hurled the flame directly at Meme, setting fire to everything around him. Slowly but surely, the flames started engulfing him, burning away at his flesh and turning it to ash. The pain. It was unbearable. With the last bits of strength he had, he spoke.

"I'm sorry, Nadwe."

The flames engulfed Meme's whole body, killing him quickly.

Even if his intended threat was dead the flames raged on. They were turning everything in the room into ash, as Fatedarer's pure hatred continued.

After about two minutes, all of the medbay was ash. Including Meme's entire body, nothing remained of it.

Angelwe's mind observed the room, giving him the green light after a complete look around. The flames disappeared quite quickly, as if they were only illusions. His eyes flicked back to brown eyes with normal non-star pupils and his wings folded back.

But.. he was watching. He observed Angelwe's true potential in all of its frightening glory.

"Perfect."

Joocie flew secretly behind Angelwe, his ghostly eyes gleaming.

Before Angelwe could realize who was behind him...

...it was way too late.

Joocie dived directly into his body, jolting it violently. Angelwe was going to scream, but he was already being forced out of his own body.

Eventually, Angelwe's spirit was completely out of his body, replaced by Joocie.

He watched his eyes turn yellow with white pupils, as Joocie fully adjusted to this new body. Once he did, he left Mira in the blink of an eye.

And all Angelwe could do was watch as Joocie ran into the mass of trees they called Verona Forest.
