“I want you to know, that I’m never leaving.
‘Cause I’m Mrs Snow, til death we’ll be freezing
Yeah, you are my home, my home for all seasons
So come on, leeet’s gooo!”
Sarah sings along as she melts some candle wax. Just because she was spending Christmas with the Hamato Clan didn’t mean she’d stray from her usual homemade gifts! Especially not when Donnie said he’d like to help.
KNOCK KNOCK
Speak of the devil! He’s knocking on her patio door now. “Hey babe!” She answers with a smile.
“Hello dearest. I hope I’m not late” Donnie chuckles
“You’re just in time actually! I’m getting started on Mikey, Leo, and Splinter’s candles” she says
“Perfect!” He says. Sarah giggles and leads him to the kitchen.
“Ok, so first Imma need the… tea tree scent!” Sarah announces. Donnie nods and searches for it.
“Ah! Here you are, my dear” He says, passing the bottle
“Thank youuuuu!” She sings
“But of course!” He watches as Sarah shakes out several drops, mixing it into the wax. He’s entranced by the grace of her gliding across the kitchen. The wax cascades into the mold, now destined to be a bonsai tree.
“There. Now once it’s hardened up, we can color it with mica powder!” She says
“I see; very interesting” Donnie smiles “What’s next?”

The 3 candles were left to cool while the couple colored the others. “So for Raph and Mona’s candles, I was thinking we’d paint their clothes on” Sarah gestures to the pair of wax bears. “Like this green one is Raph, so we’d give him a red mask and his belt. I also have x-acto knives to carve small details, like the team symbol” She explains
“Makes sense. I’ll take care of that one” Donnie says
“Cool!” She slides it over. “So all you’re gonna do is dip your brush in the mica powder, and apply it to the candle. That’s it”
“Huh, simple. I like it” He chuckles “I shall start immediately”
“As shall I” She giggles
Donnie quite enjoyed this activity. He smiles as he smears the shimmery substance around. The soft shell takes care while carving things in. “I think I might carve and color in his plastron if that’s alright” he says
“Oh that’s a great idea!” Sarah says. He sighs wistfully at her shining eyes
Sarah was ecstatic to see Donnie take a creative initiative! It was no secret that he was a man of science, and she loved that about him. But he was very by the books with tasks, only taking creative liberties with inventions; she wished to see him expand on it. Sarah’s extremely happy he agreed to be her assistant today
