This work is basically me dumping any Sonic and Tails ideas I have, for anyone and everyone to use for fics, art, and anything else! I hope you enjoy, because there's gonna be a lot of these!
(Fair warning, many of these will be more Tails-focused, because he is my eternal blorbo :D.)
Chapter 2: Heartbeat...? (Angst)

There's been a few times in things such as Sonic Boom where Sonic leans his head down to Tails' chest to hear if his heart is beating. I'm wondering what would happen if Sonic did that but he didn't feel/hear a heartbeat (whether it's actually there or not is up to you)...
Chapter 3: Reclaimed

After years of it being used against him since he was a baby, Tails decides to reclaim the word "freak" for himself.
Chapter 4: West Side's Prodigy (AU)

What if Tails was never bullied and abused by his village and therefore was never an outcast, but always felt like there was something missing. He only meets Sonic years later and realises "oh, it was a big brother I was missing all this time".
We've seen a bunch of "what if Sonic and Tails never met/met later in life" but not a lot of "what if Sonic and Tails met later in life, BUT Tails was never ostracized because of his mutation".
Imagine if he became the village's mechanic prodigy child and Sonic ends up on West Side Island with a broken Tornado and some people in the village are like "oh there's this really smart 8 year old with 2 tails he'll be able to help you with that" and THEN the brotherly stuff happens.
Chapter 5: Overcoming a Fear (Fluff)

Slightly older Tails is awoken by a thunder storm and it's only when he's been sitting there silently for a few minutes that he realises that he's finally beaten his fear of lightning.
(Then Sonic comes in to see if he's okay, they talk and he's super proud of him, and also nostalgic.)
Chapter 6: Accent (Angst)

West Side Island has its own accent, and sometimes Tails can hear it in his voice even after years of not living there, and he hates it so much as it reminds him of his past every time he notices it.
Chapter 7: Hidden scars (Angst)
Chapter Text
Tails has scars on his tails from when people on West Side tried to both cut them off and stitch them together.
Sonic is brushing his tails one time and notices the scars and has to physically restrain himself from committing heinous crimes.
