If I Know What Love Is, It Is Because Of You

Summary:

Isagi Yoichi just can't help but fall in love with Bachira Meguru

Work Text:

Isagi was a force to be reckoned with on the soccer field. With his lightning-fast reflexes and impeccable technique, he had quickly risen through the ranks to become one of the top players in the Blue Lock program. But initially, even he was caught off guard by the presence that was Bachira Meguru, a young striker with a raw talent in dribbling and eccentric personality, that was unmatched by anyone else in the program.

At first, Isagi saw Bachira as nothing more than a talented person who needed some guidance to reach his full potential. Then, Isagi saw Bachira as a friend, his best friend. But as he spent more time with him, he began to see a different side of him. He was struck by his fierce determination and his unrelenting passion for the game. He found himself drawn to his unwavering commitment to achievement, and before he knew it, he was falling for him.

The two of them began to spend more time together, working tirelessly on their skills and pushing each other to greater heights. As they trained, Isagi found himself drawn to Bachira's infectious energy and his relentless drive to succeed. He admired his courage and his unwavering enthusiasm, and he found himself falling more deeply in love with him with each passing day.

One day, as they were finishing up a grueling training session, Isagi found himself alone with Bachira on the field. They had been working on their shooting accuracy, and as he watched him take shot after shot at the goal, he felt his heart skip a beat.

"Bachira, can I ask you something?" he said, mustering all his courage.

"Sure, Isagi. What's up?" he replied, still focused on his shots.

"I've been thinking... about us. And I was wondering if... if you might feel the same way about me that I do about you."

Bachira was still concentrated on the ball in front of him, paying Isagi no heed as he replied. “Of course, I feel the same way. We’re best friends, aren’t we?” Bachira shot a grin at Isagi, but seeing the somber expression on his friend’s face, he couldn’t help but ask what was wrong.

“You are my best friend, Bachira. But I thought that we could maybe be something more.” Isagi replied hopefully, not making eye contact with the other boy.

Bachira fully turned to him, surprise etched on his face. "Isagi, I... I had no idea. I mean, I've always felt like we had a strong connection, but I never thought..."

He trailed off, and Isagi felt a pang of anxiety grip his heart. He had never been one to wear his heart on his sleeve, and the vulnerability of the moment was almost too much to bear.

"I understand if you don't feel the same way," he said, his voice trembling. "I just had to tell you how I feel. I couldn't keep it inside any longer."

Bachira looked at him for a long moment, his expression unreadable. Then, slowly, he stepped closer to him and took his hand in his. "Isagi, I... I do feel the same way," he said, his voice low and intense. "I've been trying to deny it, because I didn't want to complicate things. But... but I can't fight it anymore. I love you, Isagi."

Isagi felt a surge of emotion well up inside him, and he threw his arms around Bachira's neck, pulling him into a deep, passionate kiss. For a moment, the world melted away, and all that existed was the two of them, locked in a moment of pure, unadulterated love.

As they pulled away, Isagi felt a sense of peace wash over him. He knew that there would be challenges ahead, especially within the Blue Lock, but with Bachira by his side, he felt invincible. He looked into his eyes, and saw a reflection of his own lovestruck face shining back at him.

"Bachira, I love you too," he whispered, and he pulled him into another embrace.

From that moment on, their relationship only grew stronger. They worked harder than ever before, pushing each other to reach new heights and surpass their previous limitations. They became a formidable duo on the field, their teamwork and chemistry a force to be reckoned with. They inspired each other to be their best selves, not just on the field, but off of it as well. They shared their hopes and dreams, their fears and insecurities, and through it all, they remained each other's biggest supporters.

As the Blue Lock program progressed and they faced off against stronger and stronger teams, Isagi and Bachira knew that they could conquer anything as long as they were with each other. And later, when they were forced to separate during the second selection, they had found their own ways to go, while still remaining together. They fought through injuries and setbacks, each challenge only bringing them closer to one another.

And years later, when they finally stood on the field together, ready to face off against the toughest opponent yet, they knew that this was the moment they had been training for. They looked into each other's eyes, and saw the fire of determination and passion burning brightly.

Together, they charged onto the field, their eyes locked on the goal. They moved as one, the ball moving back and forth between them like an extension of their very selves. They outmaneuvered their opponents, outpaced them, and outscored them, leaving them in the dust.

As they basked in the glow of their hard-earned victory, Isagi and Bachira shared a knowing smile. They had achieved what they had set out to do, together. And as they stood on the field, hand in hand, they knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, they would face them together, as a team, as lovers, as soulmates.

Their love had started on the soccer field, but it had blossomed into something much deeper and more profound. Isagi and Bachira were more than just teammates or lovers, they were each other's rock, their guiding light, and their reason for being. And as they basked in the lights of the reflectors on the stadium, with spectators cheering for them, they knew that they had found what they had been searching for all along, in each other's arms.
