Chapter Text
Malak cradled the small now crying baby, sighing. He was pacing back and forth, his mind racing.
What was he going to do with a child? He couldn't just leave it. Parents? It had none. Could he take care of it? Agatha was already a handful. Mama Bear? She has to many babies.
The feeling of a small hand tugging on his shirt disturbed his thoughts. He looked down to see Agatha, grinning. "Daddy! Can I see my sissy?" She asked happily. Malak let out a small sigh, gently handing the bundle to her. "Yes my dear. Just, give daddy a minute to think." He mumbled as he walked off, leaving Agatha to be with the child. He quickly went back to thinking. He went through many ideas. Nobody seemed suited to take care of a child. Until..
That's it!
The Joy Joy Gang! They were MADE to be children entertainers. They would be perfect. He quickly speed walked back to Agatha who was cooing and squealing as the baby cried. He knelt down, smiling. "Daddy needs the baby back, princess." He gently took the bundle out of her hands. Agatha pouted, sticking out her lower lip. "No fair, daddy! I didn't get anytime to play with her!" Malak gently rubbed her head. "You'll have plenty of time to play with her, dear. Daddy has someone to go see. Just be good, okay?" He smiled. Agatha ran up and hugged her dads leg. "Okay daddy! Don't be gone long!!"
The place looked the same as always. Colorless and sad. Malak smiled down at the now sleeping baby. He started to walk toward the castle. Hopefully they'd accept the baby.
"Heya Boss!" A familiar voice called. Malak turned to see Lucky running over. "Lucky! Just the rabbit I've been wanting to see." Lucky stopped in front of him, chuckling. "You mean the ONLY rabbit!" He looked at the bundle, grinning. "You brought some ribs for Hangry? That's nice!" He said warmly. Malak shook his head quickly. "No, actually-"
"DID SOMEONE SAY RIBS?!" Hangry yelled out. Lucky grinned at his friend as he came running over. "Yes I did! The boss brought some fresh juicy ribs for ya!" Malak growled, getting frustrated. "No, I didn't! I didn't I didn't I DIDNT!" He stomped his foot in anger to hopefully get their attention. The two stared at him, in shock and in confusion, When they heard the baby start wailing and crying. "I've never had ribs that cried before!" Hangry said, rubbing his belly. "No big deal!" He said as he reached to the bundle. Lucky gently pulled Hangry back. "I don't think that's.."
"IS THAT A BABY?!"
The big white chicken came running over to the three, her eyes wide and a big grin on her face. "Can I see?? Can I hold her?!" She asked excitedly. "Finally, someone got it right! Yes. It's a baby." He said calmly. Lucky's eyes widened as he walked closer to the Malak to get a better look at the baby. "A baby? Why are you bringing us a baby?" Hangry grouped in besides lucky, hoping to get a peek. "Yeah, are you sure that we can't eat it?" Penny smacked Hangry upside the head. "No! We can't eat it, it's so tiny!" She said warmly. She looked down at the baby, her heart melting. "Awww! She's so tiny!" She cooed. Malak gently handed the baby to her. "It's mother had to pay her part of the deal. I couldn't leave it by itself nor could I take care of it, so I brought her to you three." Lucky crossed his arms, raising a brow. "Why would WE want a baby?" He asked in annoyance. Hangry snorted as he stood besides Penny, gently holding his finger out for the baby to play with. "Cmon, lucky. It's not that bad! She's actually pretty cute." He chuckled. Malak looked toward Penny and Hangry. "I assume it's alright with you two if I leave her in your care?" The two quickly nodded, grinning. Lucky sighed, walked over to the three. "Whatever you want, boss. But keep me far away from changing diapers." Penny giggled, looking over to lucky. "Of course, lucky. I'll take care of that part for ya." Hangry jolted up in excitement. "And I can feed her! Oooh! She's gonna LOVE ribs!" Malak smiled at their reactions. "I need to get back to Agatha. You three promise to make sure she's raised right?" Lucky nodded, walked over to look closer at the baby. "Yeah yeah, boss. We'll do our best." Malak began to walk back to the portal. "Good. I'll be checking in." He said with a wave.
Before he could enter the portal back home, he heard a honking noise. He turned to see the baby's hand on luckys nose, and the other two cracking up. Malak couldn't help but let out a small chuckle as well, as his worry's fading. He stepped into the portal, making his way back home.
Yep, she's be just fine here.
