Lyney's goodnight line, huh.

Work Text:

Sleepless nights were not the norm for Aether. He was a light sleeper like any prudent adventurer, quick to rise at any sign of danger and often sleeping less than he should in order to take turns watching his surroundings as his adventuring partners slept, but not sleeping at all was uncommon. It happened eventually. Especially when he missed Lumine, but it was still uncommon.

Tonight, Aether had found himself in a nightmare as soon as he had drifted off to sleep. He saw himself, sword in hand, holding his sister's body as she bled out in his arms. His blade dripping with her blood, Dain rushing at him with his own blade drawn...

He shook his head, taking a deep breath of the night air to try and clear his mind. The ache in his chest had subdued, but he didn't feel tired at all anymore.

After waking up in cold sweat from this nightmare, he had left Paimon sleeping in their shared room at Hotel Debord and gone outside for a walk - and now he sat on a bench, just outside of the hotel, feeling more awake than ever. There was no way he would be getting any sleep tonight, but he had an appointment with Charlotte the next morning... Aether sighed to himself in quiet defeat. He would just have to soldier through it, perhaps the appointment would be short and he would be able to sneak in a short nap afterwards... But knowing Charlotte, that was highly unlikely.

"Oh? What do we have here?"

A familiar voice called out, and Aether turned around to be greeted with the familiar sight of Lyney, grinning in his usual way and walking towards him as he waved excitedly.

"It's quite late for you to be loitering around like that! If you're not careful, you're going to attract the attention of the Gardes!" Lyney did not ask if he could sit next to Aether, he simply sat.

"You are also walking around late at night." Aether said.

"True! But I have an excuse: We have just finished packing up our props and equipment, I'm heading home now." Lyney's smile never faltered. Aether wondered if he ever got tired of keeping it up.

Aether regarded him for a moment, before looking away again. "Is Lynette not with you?"

"She said she was tired tonight, so I let her go home early! Honestly, that's also why it took me twice as long to pack up. She's so much faster than me!"

Despite everything that had transpired between the two of them, Aether could not stop himself from smiling. Lyney was easy to talk to, if anything, because he talked a lot. His mannerisms were also quite endearing, and so was his cheerful disposition. So much so that Aether had never suspected he could have anything else going on. He was a good actor, and yet Aether was strangely drawn to him still, despite everything.

When met with silence from Aether, Lyney tilted his head to the side and spoke again: "You also look tired. Are you sure you're not supposed to be in bed by now?"

Aether sighed, rubbing his eyes. "I can't sleep." He murmured.

"Ah..." Lyney nodded, pensive. "Sometimes I can't, either."

Aether nodded as well.

A moment passed in silence, and then Lyney shifted slightly. "Well, remember when I mentioned those hypnosis props? I didn't think you would agree, so I just laughed it off, you know! But... if you can't sleep, I think I can help."

A slightly judgmental look crossed Aether's face for half a second, but he quickly shook his head, opting instead to look at Lyney with a raised eyebrow. He didn't doubt Lyney was a great magician; He had witnessed plenty of his magic to know that he was good, but hypnosis felt less like magic and more like a fraud.

"I'm serious!" Lyney exclaimed. "Look, I used to do it all the time to help Freminet sleep when he was younger! You can ask him and he will confirm!"

Another sigh. "I don't think I have time to ask Freminet about it right now."

Lyney laughed. "Oh, of course you don't! So you're just gonna have to take my word for it!" His face was full of mischief as he winked. "Besides, it can't hurt to try, right? If it doesn't work at least you can brag to everyone that my magic didn't work on you. I just don't know if anyone would believe it." He laughed again, reaching into one of his many magician pockets to pull out a pocket watch.

As much as he didn't want to, Aether smiled. As stupid as the idea sounded, Lyney was right. It wouldn't hurt to try. It would not be the first time Lyney offered to do a trick for him, anyway. "Alright, then. Do your worst."

"I will have you know I always do my best!" Lyney smiled, dangling the pocket watch in front of Aether's face. It was not an antique, but he could tell it was a functional watch rather than just a prop. He could hear the faint ticking coming from it in the dead silence of the night. "Now keep your eyes on the watch, try not to look away." With a small movement of his fingers, Lyney set the watch on a swinging motion. Fast, but still easy for Aether's eyes to follow.

"That's it." Lyney said, lowering his voice. It was not a tone Aether was used to hearing from him; a soft, low voice. "Keep following the watch with your eyes and don't look away. You can blink if you want to, as long as you don't lose track of it."

Aether nodded, and Lyney smiled at him. "You don't need to move, I know you are listening. You can also hear the watch ticking, can't you? It's really quiet, but if you really focus you can hear it... tick-tock-tick-tock." Aether didn't nod this time, just as Lyney asked. He could, indeed, hear the watch ticking away whenever there was a moment of silence. He took a deep breath, feeling himself relax despite the wooden bench they were sitting on.

"That's great. Keep breathing. Deep, slow breaths, listening to the watch." Lyney said. "Your eyes are getting a little heavy now, aren't they? I can see you are blinking more often, aren't you?" He was. Staring at a swinging watch was surprisingly tiring on the eyes - the constant movement made his eyelids heavy, it made him want to close them. "Just keep it up, you're doing great! Breathing deeply, following the watch, blinking those heavy eyes, relaxing..."

Though he was very focused on Lyney's words, Aether couldn't help but feel surprised at just how fast this trick had actually worked on him. And he was even more surprised to realize that he wanted Lyney to keep going. The realization that he had gotten caught in the spell made his eyes roll briefly into the back of his head. He swooned slightly, his head threatening to tip forward. He blinked himself back to awareness quickly, but it had taken a surprising amount of effort to do so, and he felt even more tired now. His eyes found the watch again and he did his best to keep track of it.

Lyney was grinning at him from behind the watch. "You're so easy, traveler. I should have you as a volunteer next time I do a hypnosis number." He said. "You're easy, but it's so hard to keep watching, isn't it? Your eyelids are so heavy, and now your mind is getting tired too. But I need you to stay focused for a bit longer, okay? Just a little bit, you're almost there."

Aether didn't mean to nod again, but it happened accidentally as his head felt too heavy to hold up now. The task of keeping his eyes open was already taking up all of what was left of his concentration, and even so, they kept rolling up despite his best efforts. Now his head kept tipping forward as well, almost as if he was nodding off. He was trying so hard, but it was so hard and he was feeling so tired. All the sleep he had lost was catching up to him.

"You're doing so well." Lyney's voice felt so gentle on his ears, soothing his frustration. "Now I want you to take a deep breath for me, okay? Take a deep breath and let those tired eyes close, let your body relax." Aether felt an incredible wave of relief washing over him as he finally allowed his eyes to roll back and his head to drop, as his body began to tilt forward. Lyney was there in a second to catch him, helping Aether rest his head on his shoulder. He took another deep breath, smelling Lyney's cologne. A gloved hand found its way to his hair and Aether felt himself relaxing even deeper as Lyney gently ran his fingers through it, massaging his scalp. "See? I told you I could help you sleep." Lyney chuckled quietly.

Aether was not sleeping, not really - he could hear Lyney shushing him, he could feel the fingers on his hair, but he felt too heavy to move. Too tired.

"When you are relaxed like this it's so easy to just slowly slip into a dream, isn't it?" Lyney's voice was quiet, a whisper close to his ear. "You won't even notice it happening - You're going to stay here, deeply relaxed, and soon you're going to find yourself drifting so peacefully... You can just rest, your brain is going to do all the work." He felt Lyney take a deep breath himself. "Keep breathing, let your brain become foggy and sleepy, gently nudging you towards a nice dream. I know you're too tired to stay awake, so just let your mind go blank and sleep. Let go, traveler."

...

And then he woke up in his hotel room, after a surprising full night of sleep.

Taking a deep breath, Aether rubbed his eyes and stretched his limbs, sitting up on the bed to look at Paimon next to him, who was, unsurprisingly, still sleeping. Glancing at the clock on the wall, he realized they were running late for their appointment with Charlotte. Huh, he had really slept for a long time... he would have to thank Lyney the next time they met.

Aether undid his braid - now messy from sleep - and ran his fingers through his hair to untangle the golden locks. His fingers, however, got caught in something soft, resting on his hair just above his ear.

Ah, Lyney... he couldn't help the soft smile that took over his lips as he carefully pulled the Rainbow Rose from his hair, looking at it for a few seconds before storing it away with the same care in his bag.

After taking a moment to sigh to himself, he shook Paimon awake. They got themselves ready quickly, and finally the two of them went out once again, ready for one more day of exploring the Court of Fontaine.

It was raining in the late afternoon when they came back to the hotel.

The day had proved fruitless in his endeavor to meet up with the Hydro Archon yet again. He was starting to believe his stay in Fontaine would end up being a lot longer than he had initially thought, but he had made plans to meet up with Monsieur Neuvillette tomorrow, so perhaps he could get some clues or information from him...

Him and Paimon sat in the hotel restaurant, digging into many Fontaine dishes he was yet to learn the name of.

"Paimon thinks Monsieur Neuvillette isn't going to be too helpful, he never answers any of our questions!"

"Yes, but we could run into the Hydro Ar-"

Much like had happened in the previous night, a familiar voice coming from behind them interrupted his words: "Oh! If it isn't the traveler and Paimon! Long time no see!"

Turning around, Aether was met with the sight of Lyney once again. The magician winked at him, and he found himself avoiding his eyes as he thought about the Rainbow Rose he still had in his bag.

"It's Lyney!" Paimon exclaimed. "Are you here to perform tonight?"

Lyney did not ask if he could sit with them, but pulled a chair for himself anyway as he laughed. "No, no performances tonight! I'm staying here as a guest!"

Aether looked at him. "Isn't Lynette with you?"

"Oh traveler, I'm starting to think you like her more than you like me." Lyney replied, good-humored but with a small pout. "She has her own business to take care of tonight, we are not conjoined twins, you know!"

With a nod, Aether crossed his arms as he continued his interrogation. "I thought you lived nearby, why are you staying in a hotel?"

After a short laugh, Lyney leaned in and lowered his voice. "I can't give you the details, but I am tailing a man tonight."

Ah, so he was out on Fatui business. Aether was not surprised, but he couldn't help the disappointment he felt. Lyney must have noticed, too, because he laughed awkwardly and played with his braid. "Well, enough about that! How are you feeling today? Did you sleep well? You look very well rested, I think staying a hotel instead of camping outside really does help you feel more refreshed, doesn't it?" He had a mischievous grin on his face, and Aether felt his cheeks heating up. Instead of answering, he took a bite of his baguette.

"You're right! Paimon slept like a baby!" Paimon replied. Clueless.

Lyney laughed. "Right?! What about you, traveler?"

Aether finally looked at him. "The bed in our room is very comfortable."

"It is! And you are staying in the budget room, no? I have performer privilege, you know, so I'm sleeping on the suite tonight! You should see how comfortable that bed is!" Aether just stared at him. "Speaking of, would you accompany me to my room for a while? It won't take long, I found something in the backstage of the Opera Epiclese that I think you might want to see."

Paimon jumped excitedly in the air. "What is it, what is it? Is it suspicious? Paimon wants to see!"

Aether stood up, and Lyney followed suit with a stupid grin on his face. "Paimon, we already ordered all this food, we can't let it go to waste. Let me go see what Lyney found, you stay here and finish it."

Thankfully, she was very easily bribed with food. "Oh, okay then! Don't keep Paimon waiting!"

Aether waved at her with a small smile as they made their way upstairs. As soon as they were out of sight, he felt Lyney's hand resting on the exposed skin on the small of his back. "I take that you did sleep well last night?" He asked, smiling at Aether.

"I did... I, um... Thank you for helping me."

"Of course, what kind of friend would I be if I didn't help you in a time of need? You've helped me so much already." Lyney said, guiding them to the suite. He unlocked the door when they arrived, and gently pushed Aether inside. "I wasn't kidding when I said the bed here is very comfortable. You must be feeling a little sleepy after eating all that food, hm?" Lyney chuckled as he entered the room as well, closing the door behind them.

"Lyney..." Aether started, but Lyney interrupted him by taking his hands in his.

"You kept the rose I gave you." He said. Aether nodded, embarrassed. "You have it with you."

Aether nodded again. "In my bag."

Lyney smiled, carefully taking the bag that was hanging from Aether's shoulder, and Aether just... let him.

"Do you want to stop?" Aether hesitated, but then shook his head. He knew that Lyney was dangerous, and that he shouldn't be trusting a Fatui so much, but... he felt like Lyney truly did not want to cause him any harm. Maybe Aether could allow himself to trust him, at least for a while. At least for now. He looked at Lyney again, and shook his head with a bit more determination.

Smiling, Lyney opened his bag and pulled out the Rainbow Rose, still looking as fresh as it did the night before. "You see, this Rainbow Rose here is actually magical. The reason why you slept so well last night is because you had it with you, you know? The polen on it is special, it makes you sleepy." Lyney brought the flower to his own face, smelling it for a moment before yawning in an unexpectedly cute manner. He then held the rose under Aether's nose. "Now, you try it."

Aether frowned, but he still leaned in to smell it.

It smelled the same as any other Rainbow Rose.

"Can you feel it?"

Aether looked at him. "Not really."

"Ah, that's because you were exposed to it for a long period of time! It will probably take longer to affect you, hm? Let's do it this way: I'll keep this rose close to you and you keep breathing in, okay? We can just keep talking in the meantime!"

He knew where this was going. Aether chuckled. "Okay."

Lyney chuckled too. "I was surprised at how susceptible you were to hypnosis. Or maybe you were just too tired to fight it last night... Either way, you fell asleep so easily! I thought it would take you at least a bit longer."

Aether breathed in the scent of the flower. "Hm, well... I think my mind is... pretty susceptible to this kind of thing. It happens sometimes, in our journeys."

"Oh?" Lyney lowered his voice, taking on the same tone Aether had heard him use the night before. "That's not information you should be giving out for free, you know! That must put you into some very dangerous situations! But worry not, you are completely safe here." With his free hand, Lyney took hold of Aether's chin, tilting his head up very gently while still keeping the flower under his nose. "Take a deep breath for me. Good. One more time, now." Aether did, then blinked sluggishly up at Lyney, who was still smiling. "See, the magic is starting to work on you again. I want you to keep looking at me and keep breathing, okay?"

Aether nodded. He felt Lyney caressing his cheek with his thumb, ever so gently.

"You know you can tell me to stop anytime, right?" Aether nodded again. "But you probably won't, hm? You like this. You know what I want and you want it too, don't you? That's why you kept the flower I gave you."

"Yes." He sighed his admission.

"Cute." Lyney leaned in, pressing his lips against Aether's in a soft, fleeting kiss. Aether's eyes fluttered shut, and when he opened them again, he couldn't seem to open them all the way. "You look tired." He whispered, his thumb still moving gently on Aether's cheek. "You ate a lot just now, that always makes me feel heavy and sleepy too. And you're still smelling the magic flower, so you don't really have a chance, do you?" Aether blinked, feeling his eyes growing heavy. Lyney cheekily used his hand on the traveler's chin to slowly shake his head from side to side, answering his own question. "No, you don't. You're already so sleepy."

Aether felt his eyes fluttering again, threatening to roll back. He felt Lyney applying a slight pressure to his chin and opened his eyes. "You will tell me to stop if you feel uncomfortable, okay?" He did his best to nod, and it must have been acceptable because Lyney smiled. "Good boy. Take another deep breath for me, now." Aether did. "Sleep." He heard Lyney snapping his fingers right next to his ear. His eyes rolled back immediately as his knees gave in, and Lyney immediately held him close to prevent his fall.

He felt weightless, free of worries, like his mind was swimming in a nice, clear pond. Lyney was supporting all of his weight, whispering softly to him, telling him to relax and to go deeper. He couldn't move or open his eyes, all he could feel were Lyney's arms around him, his head resting on Lyney's shoulder, smelling the same cologne he had smelled as he drifted off to sleep the night before.

And then Lyney's arms were under his knees, and he was suddenly being carried as if he truly weighted nothing. Lyney made a small noise as he carefully laid Aether on the bed, the cotton sheets feeling impossibly soft under him. Lyney pressed another kiss to his slack mouth - Aether couldn't reciprocate, but he moaned quietly at the contact. Lyney shushed him, using his thumb to trace Aether's bottom lip now. "Shh, just relax. You can just lie there and drift, I'm going to take care of you. It's going to feel like the sweetest dream, I promise."

Aether sighed softly - Lyney was right, he was going to take care of him so he could let his mind wander. He could focus on the gentle touches, and on the feeling of Lyney's hands on his skin. The magician seemed to have taken his gloves off because his hands were warm when they caressed Aether's stomach, sliding under his top to gently graze over his nipples. He moaned lazily, and Lyney chuckled as he pushed Aether's top up, until his nipples were exposed. He could hear the rain falling against the window, and the rhythmic sound of it felt relaxing. It made him feel sleepier.

Lyney seemed to be encouraging him to lean into the sleepiness; He was rubbing his skin so gently, sometimes running his fingers through his hair. Aether felt Lyney's fingers brushing against something - the rose, on his hair again.

He felt like he was going to fall asleep at any moment. Whatever Lyney was doing to him was working, it was like his consciousness kept coming and going as the other whispered to him, telling him to drift and dream as he ran his hands all over Aether's body.

He couldn't tell how much time had passed, but Aether suddenly found himself shivering as he felt a breeze on his skin. The window was still closed, he could still hear the rain pouring against it, but he was slightly colder than before. His eyes were still closed, but Lyney had a hand on his cheek and he was saying something to him.

"...you can stay nice and relaxed, but I want you to open your eyes for me."

With some difficulty, Aether managed to crack his eyes open, feeling his consciousness return but not fully. Lyney's smiling face filled his vision, though his eyes were slightly blurry.

"Good. You feel so good right now, don't you? So warm and comfortable, hm? The sheets are so soft under your body." And just like that, he wasn't shivering anymore. The feeling of soft sheets on his skin made Aether finally realize that he was naked. "You're going to keep your eyes open for me, but you can stay in this comfortable place, just like a daydream."

He looked down to see that Lyney was also naked, kneeling between Aether's legs. That was... slightly embarrassing. Lyney was a lot stronger than he looked, if he had managed to undress Aether when he had been deadweight. Or maybe Aether had helped him out, he couldn't remember... Now, Lyney grabbed both of his legs and positioned them over his own shoulders before leaning down. His mouth was close to Aether's cock. "Stay like this."

Lyney leaned down fully and ran his tongue over the head of Aether's cock once, twice, three times... he clearly enjoyed the way Aether shuddered with each lick, pausing in between them to enjoy his reactions. With a smile, Lyney pulled away and bit gently into the soft skin of Aether's thigh, then rubbed his cheek against it with a grin. "I want to hear you. Don't hold back your voice." Aether nodded, and down Lyney went again. He took his cock into his mouth, playfully alternating between kitten licks and sucking on it until Aether's legs were shaking and he couldn't stop himself from rolling his lips into Lyney's mouth.

But Lyney pulled away the moment he did that, letting go of one of his legs to grab Aether's cock instead, thumbing the head just slightly before stroking up and down a couple of times. When he let go, Aether whimpered at the loss of contact.

Lyney laughed, holding Aether's face on his hand again. His palm was wet against Aether's cheek. "Look at me." Aether did, and Lyney brought their faces close together. "I think you're acting a bit like a slut tonight, aren't you? Leaving poor Paimon all alone and letting me take you to bed like this. You're not even worried she might come looking for you, huh?"

It came as a surprise to himself when Aether realized he really didn't care. He knew he should, but whatever number Lyney had done in his head had definitely worked. He just wanted Lyney to keep doing what he was doing, completely caught in his spell.

"Cute." Lyney said again, pressing a quick kiss to Aether's lips but never breaking eye contact. "That's alright, you don't have to worry about anything. You don't need to think too hard, either. All you've gotta do is lie there and look pretty, and let me work my magic." His thumb found its way to Aether's bottom lip again, this time pressing slightly more forcefully until Aether's lips parted for him. "Good boy! I don't want you thinking about anything else besides me. It's easy to let all of your thoughts float away when you are here with me. Suck." Aether immediately began suckling on Lyney's thumb. "That's right, the less you think, the easier it is to just do what I tell you. I'm taking care of you, so you don't need to think. Nod."

Aether nodded. Lyney laughed. He pulled his finger from Aether's mouth, smearing some drool on Aether's cheek.

"You're gonna turn around now and arch your back for me." Lyney said, pressing a small kiss to the tip of Aether's nose before letting go of his face. Aether's movements were a bit sluggish, and he felt like he hadn't used his own body in a long time. His limbs still felt very heavy and relaxed, but even so he managed to get himself into the position Lyney wanted. It was comfortable at least, he could rest his head on the pillow and relax his muscles, his back arching naturally at Lyney's command.

He felt Lyney's hands on his ass, stroking his skin there. He couldn't stop himself from arching vigorously, rubbing his ass against Lyney's palm until he felt something cold spilling over his exposed hole. Aether shuddered as Lyney spread it around with his fingers, carefully stroking the sensitive skin around his hole and chuckling every time Aether flinched or moaned at the feeling. Then Lyney's own naked body was pressing against his, and his voice was on his ear again: "You feel so nice and relaxed right now, don't you? I know your eyes are heavy, I was so mean to make you keep them open all this time... You will relax even further when you close them. You can relax completely when your eyes are closed, and they're just so heavy right now... you can't keep them open anymore. You won't even try, because you know what I'm saying is the truth." Aether's eyes blinked once, twice, and by the third time they did not reopen. Lyney kissed his cheek.

"You're relaxed everywhere, even here." Lyney said, pressing a finger to Aether's hole. It opened easily for him. "I don't even need to prepare you, you're gonna stay relaxed and open, just like that. It won't hurt, you won't feel any pain. You're only capable of feeling good things right now."

Aether felt Lyney removing his fingers. His mind was foggy, but he could make sense of his surroundings - he could feel Lyney moving about on the bed, the squelching sound of Lyney stroking himself with some lube, and then there were hands on his hips. He arched his back as far as it would go, and felt Lyney pouring a bit more lube on him.

Finally, he felt the head of Lyney's cock pressing against him. Aether moaned, his body instinctively pushing his hips against him, but Lyney stroked his back soothingly. "Shh, relax. Relax." And Aether did, deeply affected by Lyney's voice. He relaxed his muscles as Lyney praised him again, shushing him and calling him a good boy over and over, as if he was speaking to a scared animal, until Aether calmed down. It worked - Aether moaned loudly and deeply when he felt Lyney's cock entering him.

"Good boy, you did so well. Just stay relaxed like that, let me take care of you."

Lyney pulled out and pushed in again, carefully on the first couple of times, but gradually speeding up his thrusts when Aether's voice got louder. Part of him wanted to open his eyes to look at Lyney, but he couldn't - he felt like they had been glued shut with the power of Lyney's words alone.

The more Lyney thrusted into him, the foggier his head became. He didn't realize he had been moaning until Lyney chuckled and commented: "You are so loud, you must be feeling so good, hm?" Aether flushed at the words, but Lyney was pressing his body against his back and holding his face with a firm grip on his cheeks. "Open your eyes, traveler. Tell me how good you feel."

His eyes were open before he could register it, but there was nothing to see in front of him; His vision was blurry with unshed tears as he opened his mouth to gasp. "Good... feels so good, Lyney...!" He heard himself saying without thinking, feeling Lyney grin against the back of his neck.

Lyney was slightly out of breath when he spoke again: "You are going to do one more thing for me," he started, whispering against Aether's ear in between small moans of his own. "You're going to come when I say so." Aether began to shake his head, but Lyney tightened his grip on his cheeks to shut him up. "You've been so obedient so far, I'm sure you can do it. You are so ready for it, you can feel it in your body. You can feel my lips around your cock again, and you're getting so close. Just fuck into them, fuck my mouth." Aether felt that familiar sensation on his stomach, his heart racing as he felt himself getting closer. He knew there was nothing down there, but he felt the wetness and warmth of Lyney's lips on his cock all the same, just as Lyney had described. Lyney let go of Aether's face as Aether started fucking the air.

He couldn't say anything, because Lyney was fucking hard into him and Aether couldn't stop moaning. His eyes were fluttering again, he couldn't keep them open anymore at the feeling of being taken and having his cock sucked. The feeling of Lyney's mouth on him was so real, and upon closing his eyes it felt even more real.

Lyney's voice sounded next to his ear again in a slow countdown as he thrusted eagerly into him. "3, 2, 1..." He snapped his fingers next to Aether's ear, and he was just gone. His orgasm hit him suddenly after the short buildup, and he thrusted into the air as if his cock was truly being stroked, feeling himself spilling all over Lyney's nice, soft sheets. Lyney hugged him closer and bit him on the shoulder as his own thrusts became erratic, but Aether didn't feel any pain.

His mind was completely muddled when he came down from his orgasm, but he could still feel Lyney's cock ramming into him. He weakly pushed back into it, and Lyney's arm around his torso tightened up as he let out a drawn-out moan, spilling into Aether and continuing to thrust until he was completely spent.

They were both breathing hard when Lyney pulled out, carefully helping Aether avoid the come in the middle of the bed and lying him on his side. Lyney kindly arranged his limbs in a comfortable position for him, because Aether couldn't be bothered to move. He looked at Lyney through half-open eyes, watching him as he moved about, cleaning himself up first before sitting in front of Aether with a wet towel. He seemed almost bashful now that everything was done, and it was finally Aether's turn to chuckle.

"What is it?" Lyney said, a small smile on his lips.

"Nothing." Aether whispered. Once again, he was having a hard time keeping his eyes open - the fatigue hitting him like an aquabus.

"Oh?" Lyney grinned. "I think you're due to a nap, mister." He stroked Aether's hair, where the Rainbow Rose still rested, undisturbed even after everything.

Aether yawned. "Did you carry me back to my room last night?" He asked, his voice slurring slightly.

"I did." Lyney confirmed.

Aether nodded. "This time... let me stay."

Lyney looked shocked for a moment, but he was quick to school his expression back into a warm grin. "Of course!" His voice sounded slightly higher pitched than usual, though. Aether couldn't help but smile. "I'll tell Paimon you fell asleep reading the court documents I found."

"M'kay." Aether said.

Lyney seemed to hesitate for a moment, but then he leaned down and dropped a small kiss to Aether's forehead. "Okay," he repeated in a whisper. "Now it's time for your nap. You can close those heavy eyes again and feel yourself drifting back to the land of dreams, sweet and peaceful. I'm going to clean you up and take care of you, so you will feel nice and refreshed when you awake. Sweet dreams~"

Aether smiled and closed his eyes.
