Day 26 - Winter Blues

Dhare is concerned about Ashaki’s terrible mood.

Work Text:

Dhare nuzzled Ashaki as she stared out the window, her mood gloomy and down. They had been watching movies all day, but slowly Ashaki had grown melancholic. There hadn’t been anything that was visibly upsetting. He couldn’t figure out the reason why.

“Mate, what bothers you?” Dhare asked with a comforting purr. 

Ashaki rolled over and snuggled closer against him, “I’m okay. Just feeling some winter blues,” 

“Winter blues?” 

She nodded, “I wish there was snow. I’ve never had a white holiday.” 

“Perhaps next year, yes?” 

The woman finally cracked a smile, “I’d love that, babe.” She kissed him softly.
