Chapter Text

Eleven years earlier.

In Los Angeles, CA.

Up at Sidney's house in Hollywood Hills.

(Mark's sitting down in the Livingroom looking up at the ceiling looking bored out of his mind with him sitting there looking up he fails to notice both Roman and Sidney walk into the house and look at him trying to keep from laughing.)

Mark: I can hear you two trying to keep from laughing. So fuck off both of you.

(They start laughing then calm down as Mark gets up carefully and walks over to them as he gets to them he grabs Sidney close to him and she laughs at him.)

Mark: Turn away Roman.
Sidney: Why?
Mark: Because.

(He kisses her getting her to smile in it as their kiss continues Roman looks off whining like a five a year old not getting his way and it only makes Mark laugh at him in the kiss then he pulls away from her.)

Roman: Asshole.
Mark: I know. But then again you try being stabbed five times by the same dick headed detective who had seriously been stalking Sidney since she was Windsor.
Roman: Yeah. I know that.
Sidney: Hey.

(Mark looks at her and smiles as she kisses him as their kissing he deepens it alittle then pulls away from her.)

Mark: I love you.

(Sidney looks at him and smiles as she kisses him again then pulls away from him.)

Sidney: I love you too.
Mark: So what's up?

(They all walk over to the couch and sit down as they sit down Sidney carefully sits in Mark's lap getting him to smile at her and he kisses her head then pulls away from it.)

Sidney: I was thinking about heading out to Woodsboro to spend sometime with my aunt and uncle.
Mark: Okay. You want company?
Sidney: Na. I'll be okay.
Mark: Now I feel offended.

(They start laughing then calm down as she kisses him then pulls away from him.)

Sidney: Don't be.
Mark: Okay. Yeah babe if you wanna go back to Woodsboro do it. Who I am to judge.
Sidney: You're not judging.
Mark: Yeah I know. But I still have you.

(Sidney smiles at him as she kisses his head then pulls away from it.)

Mark: When you heading down there?
Sidney: In a couple of months.
Mark: Just in time for Christmas.

(Roman starts laughing as Sidney smacks him.)

Mark: Ow. God Babe I am still injuried.
Sidney: Then stop picking on me.
Mark: It's not fun if I have to behave.

(She smacks him again.)

Mark: Ow.
Sidney: Be nice?
Mark: Okay.

(She laughs at him as he kisses her again then pulls away from her.)

Mark: Babe Roman's doing that whole protective older brother stare again.

(Sidney looks at Roman and he looks off as Dewey and Gale walk into the house laughing at him.)

Roman: Hey shut up.
Dewey: We would but that was funny.
Roman: Jerks.
Mark: He's really feeling the love babe.
Sidney: He is. Which is what you're gonna be feeling once you heal up.
Mark: Oh boy.

(She laughs at him as he smiles at her and she kisses him then pulls away from him.)

Mark: I got mine. When's Dewey gonna get his?

(Roman hearing that falls over laughing at Dewey's face.)

Dewey: Rude.
Sidney: But true.
Gale: I'm sorry when do you plan on asking Sidney to marry you?
Mark: After I graduate Law school.

(Gale looks at him and laughs off the shock and then looks at Sidney whose trying to keep from laughing.)

Gale: I'm going to shut up now.
Mark: Yes please do. I've are ready dug myself a massive Roman's gonna kill me for saying that.
Roman: No. I won't. I'll let Kate and Damen do it.
Mark: Damn it.
Dewey: What kind of lawyer you gonna be?
Mark: One that tells you to go and fuck yourself.

(Dewey looks at him as they start laughing again.)

Dewey: So Defense?
Mark: Na. DA's office.
Dewey: Noway.
Mark: Yeah.
Roman: You got an in at the DA's office?
Mark: Yeah.
Dewey: Who?
Mark: Maggie!

(Dewey looks at him and laughs off the shock.)

Dewey: Damn.
Mark: Hey I have who I want. I'm not gonna try and break up Mickey's marriage.
Dewey: Yeah we know that. But we all know someone is gonna try and convince him of that.
Mark: If Mickey believes that lie. Then he really doesn't trust his wife as much as he says he does.
Dewey: True.
Sidney: Anyway. Now that we're done talking about Mark's future boss.

(Mark looks at her as she laughs at him.)

Mark: Babe seriously.
Sidney: I know she's married. But she's hot.
Mark: Is she?
Dewey/Roman: Yeah.
Mark: Oh. I hadn't noticed.

(Sidney looks at him and laughs as she she buries her head into his neck getting him to laugh at her as he kisses her head then pulls away from it.)

Gale: I swear you two are so cute together.
Mark: So I keep hearing.
Gale: But?
Mark: Yes Sidney does.

(Sidney looks at him and then looks off trying to keep from blushing.)

Mark: But I don't believe it.
Sidney: No.
Mark: No. Although my girlfriend is cute.
Sidney: I know that.

(They start laughing as the house phone rings and they look over at it.)

Mark: Avon calling.

(They start laughing as Sidney gets up to go and answer it. As she gets to the phone she answers it.)

Sidney: Hello!

(She stays on the phone for awhile and then calls Mark.)

Mark: Yeah.
Sidney: It's for you.
Mark: Whoever it is tell them I'm not home.
Dewey: Dude that only works if you don't say anything.
Mark: Awe damn it. Who is it?
Sidney: One of your future bosses.
Mark: I didn't know Dewey was on the phone.
Roman: Wow. Dewey that's some trick.
Dewey: I know right.

(Mark gets up in some pain and walks over to her and kisses her then pulls away from her as he grabs the phone and sees the number and laughs as he puts the phone to his ear.)

Mark: Hey McFierce how's it going?
Maggie: It's going fine. And you know i hate that nickname.
Mark: Mickey calls you it all the time.
Maggie: Yeah well Mickey's lucky I love him or I'd hurt him.
Mark: Yeah something tells me Mag's he'd enjoy it.
Maggie: I know that.

(They start laughing then calm down.)

Mark: Anyway. What's up?
Maggie: I was just calling to see how you're doing?
Mark: Like a fucken pin cusin.

(Maggie laughs at him.)

Maggie: Oh I bet.
Mark: Na. I'm are right. I'm actually here with Sidney and the others.
Maggie: How is she?
Mark: She's are right. I mean she nearly lost me and Roman but other than that.
Maggie: Well I'm glad you guys are okay.
Mark: So am I.
Maggie: Anyway. I was just calling to see how you're doing.
Mark: I'm are right. Still hurting but I'm are right.
Maggie: Okay. Well I'll see you on Monday.
Mark: Yeah.
Maggie: Are right bye.
Mark: Bye.

(Then he hangs up with her as he looks his friends.)

Dewey: You are right?
Mark: Yeah. I'm fine. I think I'm gonna go and lie down.
Sidney: Okay.

(Mark smiles at her as he kisses her then pulls away from her as he walks up the stairs to go and lie down as he continues up the stairs.)

Roman: You are right Sid?
Sidney: Yeah. Actually I'm not.

(He gets up and walks over to her.)

Roman: What's the matter?
Sidney: Did he seem different after he got off of the phone with Maggie?

(Roman looks at her and then up the stairs.)

Roman: Kind of but then again. He did mention the attack.
Sidney: Yeah I know he did. I just don't want to lose him Roman.
Roman: And you won't. He loves you and she loves her husband. I can promise you nothing is going on between them.
Sidney: I know he does.

(He hugs her getting her to smile at him. Then she pulls away from him as she walks up to the stairs to go and talk to her boyfriend.)

Upstairs.

In their bedroom.

(Mark's lying down on the bed looking up at the ceiling as Sidney walks in and closes the door.)

Sidney: Babe.
Mark: Yeah.
Sidney: What's the matter?

(Mark sits up in pain then looks at her.)

Mark: What makes you think something is wrong?
Sidney: Your attitude changed after you hung up with Maggie.

(Mark looks at her and laughs as he puts his hand out for her she walks over to him and he grabs her into his lap getting her to smile at him.)

Mark: I love you. Maggie's just a friend. I don't see her that way.
Sidney: Yeah babe I know that.
Mark: So don't be so jealous of Maggie.
Sidney: Do you think she's prettier then me?

(Mark looks at her and laughs off the shock.)

Mark: Uh wow. That was um.
Sidney: I know I just threw the question out there. But I wanna know do you think she's prettier then me?

(Mark looks at her and smiles as he kisses her as their kissing he pushes her coat off and throws it to the floor as it hits the floor they both fall back to the bed as they land on it he pulls away from her.)

Mark: No I don't.
Sidney: Really?
Mark: Really. I have who I want. And she's right here with me.

(Sidney smiles at him as he kisses her again as their kiss continues she deepens it as their deepened kiss continued they both continued to smile in it.)

A few months later.

On the way to Woodsboro, CA.

(Sidney's just crossing over the Woodsboro city limits and headed into town and just getting to a red light as she stops at the light she fails to notice the car behind her and slams into her sending her out into the

middle of the intersection as she puts her foot on the break she fails to notice another car headed towards and when she finally sees it she goes to get the car moving but it's two late the car T-bones her car and it

sends it rolling after hitting her car both cars managed to get their cars running and quickly take off from the scene. But what the two drives failed to notice is that three were three witnesses to the accident and

they both told their daughter to stay where she was and ran out into the street to see who it was as the mother is running out into the street her husband was on the phone with the police with him on the phone

with the police he's able to tell them what kind of cars they were and what the plate numbers were.)

Out by the car.

(The woman runs up to it and kneels down next to it and reaches in to feel for a pulse. When she finds one she looks into the car and sees who it is and falls backwards but quickly takes another look at who it is

and calls out for her husband.)

Hannah: Dave!
Dave: Yeah.
Hannah: Babe come here.
Dave: What's wrong?
Hannah: Dave it's Sidney.

(He hangs up and runs over to her as he gets to them and he looks into the car and does the same thing his wife did and feels for a pulse once he finds one they can hear sirens heading towards them.)

Hannah: Oh thank god they heard me say it was Sidney.
Dave: Yeah. We're gonna have to call Kate and Damen.
Hannah: I know that.

(He looks at her and can see the look on her face.)

Dave: We're also gonna have to call and tell Mark and the other's.
Hannah: I know that too.
Dave: Okay.

(Then they look behind them and the medics rush over to them and start getting to work on getting Sidney removed from the car. As they walk away from them. Dave's on the phone.)

Dave: Yeah hey Kate.
Kate: Hey what's going on?
Dave: Kate I have some news for you.
Kate: What's the matter?
Dave: Kate there's been an accident.

(She stands up and looks at her husband whose on the floor help Jill with her school work.)

Kate: What happened?
Dave: Hit and run.
Kate: Oh god. But why are you calling me?
Dave: Kate it was Sidney.

(Kate hearing that drops the phone which gets her husband's attention and he gets up to walk over to her as he gets to her she looks at him trying to keep from losing it.)

Damen: Babe.
Kate: Sidney was in an accident.

(He looks at her and he hugs her as he's hugging her they failed to notice Jill pick the phone up and continues to listen to what Dave is saying and quickly throws the phone down and runs up the stairs hearing the

phone get thrown they both look at her.)

Kate: Oh god. Jill!
Damen: Go.

(She runs up the stairs to go and talk to her. As Damen picks the phone up.)

Damen: Sorry Dave Jill had picked the phone up and then threw it.
Dave: Oh god.
Damen: We'll meet you guys at the hospital.
Dave: I tried calling Neil but he wasn't answering.
Damen: I'll try him again.
Dave: Are right bye.
Damen: Bye.

Upstairs.

(Kate rushes over to Jill's room and walks in to see her sitting down on the bed trying to keep from losing it hearing about her cousin made her want to cry but is trying to keep it together for her parents.)

Kate: Jill!
Jill: Is she gonna die?

(Kate looks at her as she walks over to her and sits down on the bed with her.)

Kate: We don't know sweetheart. We hope not.
Jill: I don't want her to die.
Kate: I know. Neither do we. Come on.
Jill: Where we going?
Kate: To the hospital. We're gonna go and see Sidney.
Jill: Okay.

(She gets off of the bed and grabs her coat as Kate gets up and they walk out of the room.)

Minutes later.

Woodsboro Community Hospital.

(Kate and Damien are there waiting for news on Sidney as Neil runs into the waiting room.)

Neil: Kate!

(She looks at him then gets up to walk over to him as she gets to him she quickly hugs him as Damen's phone goes off he grabs it out to see who it is. Seeing the number he answers it.)

Damen: Hey Mark thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
Mark: You called and left me a message saying it was important.
Damen: It is.
Mark: Everything okay. Did Sid make there okay?
Damen: Mark that's why i called you.

(Mark hearing the seriousness in his voice looks over at Dewey Gale and Roman.)

Mark: What's going on?
Damen: Mark there's been an accident.

(Mark puts his head down trying to keep from losing it.)

Mark: Damen tell me it's not?
Damen: I'm sorry son. It was Sidney.

(Mark drops his phone and falls to the floor which catches the other's attention Roman seeing him go over rushes over to him and looks at his phone then picks it up as Mark leans against the wall.)

Roman: What happened?
Mark: It's Sidney.
Roman: What? Did she make it to Woodsboro?
Mark: She was in an accident.

(He looks at him and nearly loses it as Dewey talks with Damen and then hangs up with him.)

Dewey: Mark go and pack a bag we're going to Woodsboro to see Sidney.
Mark: Okay.

(He gets up to go and pack a bag as Roman remains on the floor trying to keep from losing it. Then he finally stands up to go up and do the same thing.)

Hours later.

At Woodsboro Community Hospital.

(Mark Dewey Gale and Roman rush in and head over to them.)

Mark: Neil!

(He looks at him and then walks over to him.)

Neil: We still don't know anything. But what we do know is that she's a damn fighter she'll survive this.
Mark: I know she is.

(He nods his head at him as Mark walks over to Jill whose got her head down as he gets to her he kneels down in front of her she looks up at him.)

Mark: Hey.
Jill: Hi.
Mark: How you holding up?
Jill: Okay.
Mark: Me too.

(She smiles at him as he sits down next to her and they all continues to wait for news on Sidney together. As their all sitting there what they all failed to notice is that the two people who had run into Sidney's car

stood off in the corner smiling smugly knowing that they finally got raid of Sidney Prescott. And look forward to finally getting raid of Mark as well. Then they turn and walk off as they walk off Dave and Hannah

walk into the waiting room and over to them. Seeing them Neil walks over to them.)

Neil: Tell me you guys have some good news for us?
Dave: She made it through her surgery.

(He puts his head down relieved by what he just heard about his daughter.)

Neil: Oh thank god.
Hannah: But Neil she's got a long road to recovery.
Neil: Yeah I know that.
Dave: So due to her injuries we've decided to her put into a medical induced coma. In order to help her body heal up.
Neil: For how long?
Dave: Until she can breath on her own.

(Neil looks at him and then looks off not sure of what to say or do knowing that his daughter is in her fighting for her life and that she's in a coma. And that's what happens to Sidney for eleven years Sidney

remains in her coma without showing any signs of waking up which is worrying her family her friends and the man she loves whose always there when he's not at school he always takes the five hour drive from LA

to Woodsboro to be there with Sidney. But with every waking day night month and year she remains in her coma he's finding it harder and harder to keep up the hope that she's ever going to wake up so that they

can be together again. So after years of waiting for her to finally wake up. Although he does go and see her still he knows this is really fucked up but he's telling himself he needs to move on with his life but is

keeping that to himself mainly when he finds himself falling for someone else. And doesn't wanna hurt Sidney's family by telling them so he keeps up his presents in Woodsboro. Until he graduates Law school

which Sidney's family is there to watch him get his degree and gets his job with the DA's office and has worked a number of murder cases and has won about three of four times against one of his oldest friends

Mickey Haller who continues to joke around with him saying he cheated on that case.)

Mark: I did not.
Mickey: Yes you did.
Mark: Sore loser.

(He looks at him as Maggie and Lorna are trying to keep from laughing.)

Mickey: Hey.

(He goes to jokingly get into his face but Mark grabs a rolled up news paper and smacks him in the head which gets the girls to laugh at him.)

Mickey: Asshole.
Mark: I know.
Mickey: So how are you doing man? Really?

(Mark looks at him and laughs.)

Mark: Not good. It's been almost nine years since the accident and Sid still hasn't shown any sign of waking up.
Lorna: I'm sorry Mark.
Mark: I'd lie and say it's okay. But it's not. I miss her. I just want her to wake up so I can tell her just how much she still means to me. I just.
Maggie: How's her family doing?
Mark: Their still holding out hope she'll wake up. Hell it's been almost nine years. And the police still haven't figured out who it was that ran into Sidney's car.
Mickey: Seriously?
Mark: Seriously.
Mark: And it's not for the lack of trying. Dewey Gale and Roman have been working so fucken hard to try and figure out who it was that ran into Sidney.
Lorna: But they still don't know anything?
Mark: No.

(They all look at him and feel bad for him. Mark looks over at Maggie who see the look on his face. She gets up and walks over to him.)

Maggie: She'll come out of this.
Mark: I know she will. I just don't know how much longer i can keep up the hope that she'll wake up.
Maggie: I know. But just don't say that to her family.
Mark: I won't. I'm not that stupid.

(They laugh at him.)

Mark: Jill's in high school now. She's got her first boyfriend. Whose very protective.
Lorna: He cute?
Mark: Yeah. He's a great guy he treats well. He treats her better then Billy Loomis treated Sidney.
Lorna: Yikes.
Mark: Yeah.
Maggie: Well I'm sure they'll find them one day.
Mark: Before or after I deck Tony Carpenter.
Lorna: Okay.
Mark: Yeah. Anyway. I'm gonna head out to Woodsboro I promised Jill I'd protect her boyfriend from the over protective cousin and father.
Maggie: Oh shit.
Mark: Yeah. This is going to be funny as hell.

(They start laughing at him as he walks off around her and to his car.)

Mickey: He's trying to hold it together.
Maggie: I know he is. But it's not easy.
Mickey: No.

(Maggie looks at him and then over at Mark whose driving away from them to head out to Woodsboro.)

Present day.

In Woodsboro, CA.

At Woodsboro Community Hospital.

In Sidney's room.

(Kate's sitting by her bed still holding out hope that her niece will finally wake up and what she fails to notice is her hand move above the blanket as she continues to watch Television she notices something out of

the corner of her eye and quickly stands up.)

Kate: Sidney!

(She sees her hand move again and quickly grabs it.)

Kate: Sid if you can hear me please squeeze my hand.

(As of hearing what she said. Sidney squeezes her hand as her husband walks into the room and sees her leaning over Sidney's bed.)

Damien: Babe!
Kate: Babe she's waking up.

(He looks at her and then looks at Sidney and then sees her hand move again.)

Damien: Oh god. I'll be right back.
Kate: Okay.

(He rushes from the room to go and get the doctor.)

Damien: I need a doctor.

Back in the room.

(Kate's still leaning over Sidney's bed waiting to see if she opens her eyes. Which is what she does only to close them again after having the light hit them for the first time in eleven years. Then she opens her eyes

again and then turns to look at her aunt who looks like she's about to cry.)

Kate: Sidney!

(Sidney looks at her and then looks around the room confused and then looks at Kate a little confused until the fuzziness clears up and she smiles at her.)

Kate: Sid!
Sidney: (Whispers) Water.

(Kate grabs the pitcher and pours her some water then helps her drink feeling the water hit her throat causes Sidney to wince.)

Kate: Hey hey it's okay. Your throats a little dry.

(Sidney nods her head at her as Dave rushes into the room followed by Hannah whose looking at her incomplete shock.)

Hannah: Sid!

(Sidney looks at her and weakingly waves at her.)

Sidney: Where am I?
Dave: You're in the hospital.
Sidney: Why?
Dave: You were in an accident.

(Sidney looks at him and then to her aunt and uncle.)

Sidney: When?
Kate: Eleven years ago.

(Sidney looks at her confused and then starts looking around for Mark Kate knowing who she's looking for tells her husband who was on the phone with Jill who had hung up to go and tell her friends.)

Over at Woodsboro High School.

Over at the founation.

(Jill's running over to them. Trevor seeing Jill running over to them quickly gets up and walks over to her before she can fall over.)

Trevor: Hey hey. What's the matter?
Jill: Sidney!

(He looks at her and then to the other's.)

Kirby: Is she?
Jill: No. She's awake. Guys my cousin finally woke up.

(They all look at her and smile at her as Jill hugs her boyfriend who kisses her head then pulls away from it.)

Olivia: Well let's go.

(They all rush off towards Kirby's car. Only she tosses the keys to Olivia who laughs at her.)

Kirby: Jill's cousin just woke up. I think she wants to get there in one piece.
Jill: Yes I would.

(Olivia nods her head at her as they all get in and she quickly takes off towards the hospital.)

Trevor: You are right babe?
Jill: Yeah. It's been eleven years since the accident.
Trevor: Yeah we know.
Jill: I was just starting to think she'd never wake up.
Trevor: But she did.
Jill: Yeah she did.

(She smiles at him as he kisses her then pulls away from her as she hugs him again.)

Over in Los Angeles, CA.

At the Hall of Justice.

(Someone walks off of the elevator and heads for Maggie's office.)

In Maggie's office.

(She's in there talking and joking around with her ex as this person knocks on the door.)

Maggie: It's open.
Mickey: Funny I thought it was closed.
Maggie: Mickey I swear.

(He starts laughing as the door opens and the person who knocked walks in and smiles at them.)

Mark: Is this suit to flashy for Major Crimes?

(Maggie looks over at Mark and smiles at him as she gets up and walks over to him as she gets to him he hugs her getting her to smile even more at him. Then she pulls away from him as Mickey shakes his hand.)

Mickey: You look good man.
Mark: Really?
Mickey: Yeah. Dude you look good.
Mark: Well thank you.
Maggie: So your first day here.
Mark: Yeah. A little nerve wracking. But I believe I'll do good here.
Maggie: Oh you don't have to convince me of that.
Mark: Yeah I know that.

(She smiles at him and he smiles back at her Mickey seeing the looks both his ex and friend are giving each other he can't help but find himself getting jealous of them being so close to each other but he knows he has no right to be jealous of them.)

Mark: Anyway. Janelle said you'd be showing me around the office.
Maggie: Yeah. Come on.
Mickey: I'll see you later Mag's.
Maggie: Okay.

(He smiles at her as he gets up and leaves the office as he leaves Mark looks at Maggie and closes the door once it's closed she kisses him as their kissing he smiles in it as their kiss continues he can't help but

smile even more knowing he's moved on with his life. And is with someone else. Although his day is about to get one hell of a shock when his phone goes off he grabs it out to see who it is seeing the number he's

seen a lot over the last eleven years smiles at it and answers it.)

Mark: Hey Jill you doing okay?
Jill: Yeah. I'm great actually.
Mark: That's great to hear.

(Mark winks at Maggie whose smiling at him.)

Jill: Mark how fast can you get to Woodsboro?

(Mark looks at Maggie whose looking at him confused.)

Mark: Why what's up?
Jill: She's awake?

Chapter Text

Mark: Hey Jill you doing okay?
Jill: Yeah. I'm great actually.
Mark: That's great to hear.

(Mark winks at Maggie whose smiling at him.)

Jill: Mark how fast can you get to Woodsboro?

(Mark looks at Maggie whose looking at him confused.)

Mark: Why what's up?
Jill: She's awake?

(He looks at Maggie again who continues to look at him confused.)

Mark: She's what?
Jill: Sidney's awake.

(Mark falls back into a chair which gets Mickey to quickly run back into the room.)

Mickey: Mark!
Mark: Hey uh Jill I'll call you back.
Jill: Okay.
Mark: I'll be there as soon as I can.
Jill: Okay. I'll let my mom know.
Mark: Okay.

(They say their goodbyes and hang up as he looks at his friends.)

Mickey: What's going on?
Mark: Sidney's awake.

(They both look at him as Maggie sits down in her chair and Mark looks at her knowing that with Sidney awake could complicate things between him and Maggie.)

Mickey: Well isn't is a good thing she's awake.
Mark: No it's great. It's just.
Mickey: What?
Mark: I've been seeing someone else.

(He looks at him and then looks at his ex wife and then he looks at Mark.)

Mickey: Oh come on.
Mark: I know this makes me out to be a complete asshole.
Mickey: No it doesn't. It just means you were ready to move on.
Mark: Yeah. But I can tell you wanna hit me.
Mickey: Do I? Do I look like I wanna hit him?
Lorna: Yes.

(Mark turns and looks at her as he starts laughing at his friends face.)

Mickey: Rude.
Mark: You were just trying to get Maggie involved.
Mickey: He's sleeping with Maggie.

(Mark looks at him as he looks at Maggie whose trying to keep from laughing.)

Mark: I am not. We've been on like three dates. I haven't even kissed her yet.

(Maggie looks at him as Mark looks at her and then back at Mickey.)

Mickey: You're full of it.
Mark: I am. Now I gotta get out to Woodsboro.
Lorna: Why?
Mark: Sidney's awake.

(Lorna looks at him and then to Maggie whose looking off not sure of what to say to anyone.)

Lorna: Oh.
Mark: Yeah. Anyway.
Lorna: You want us to come with you?
Mark: No. I'll be okay.
Lorna: Okay. Let us know how she is.
Mark: I will.

(He turns and walks out of the office as Maggie remains in her seat trying to keep from showing upset she is knowing that Sidney's awake.)

Lorna: Maggie!
Maggie: I'm are right. She's awake that's great.
Lorna: Babe can you?
Mickey: Yeah.

(He turns and walks out of the office and closes the door. Once it's closed Lorna looks at Maggie who looks at her and laughs.)

Maggie: I'm okay really. I mean we all knew she was bound to wake up at some point.
Lorna: I know that. But I can see it on your face that you didn't want her to wake up.

(Maggie looks at her and laughs.)

Maggie: I know it's gonna make me out to be a real bitch Lorna.
Lorna: It will. But seeing that look on Mark's face when he learned that she had woken up after eleven years. It's gonna mess with his head.
Maggie: I know it will. I really like him Lorna.
Lorna: I know I can see it on you face.
Maggie: If he chooses her I won't stop him.

(Lorna nods her head at her as they continue to talk and joke around.)

Hours later.

In Woodsboro.

At Woodsboro Community Hospital.

(Mark rushes in and heads for the elevator as he gets there he pushes for it come down and get him. As he's waiting his phone goes off but he ignores it as the elevator reaches him and he rushes on to go up to

the floor Sidney's on. As he pushes for the floor she's on the doors close and he leans against the wall trying to keep it together. Then the elevator reaches her floor and he rushes off of it and runs over to the

waiting room as he gets there he turns and looks at them.)

Mark: Where is she?

(They all look up at him and Jill walks over to him.)

Jill: She's in the room down the hallway. She's been asking for you.
Mark: Okay. Thank you.
Jill: You're welcome.

(He walks away from them after smiling at them and runs off towards Sidney's room as he gets there he sees her there and nearly falls over. Feeling someone watching her she turns and looks at him.)

Sidney: Mark!
Mark: Sid!

(He walks into the room and over to her as he gets to her he grabs her hand getting her to smile at him as he raises it and kisses the back of it then he pulls away from it as his phone goes off again. But yet again chooses to ignore knowing who it is.)

Sidney: Aren't you going to answer that?
Mark: No. I have someone else more important to talk to.

(Sidney smiles at him as he kisses her as their kissing she smiles in it. Then he pulls away from her as he places his forehead against her getting her place her hand onto the back of his head. Their like this when

Dewey and Gale walk into the room quickly followed by Roman and Jennifer.)

Mark: I missed you.
Sidney: I missed you too.

(He kisses her again as their kissing their smiling in it then she pulls away from him.)

Mark: Well i gotta say.
Sidney: What?
Mark: Even after a eleven years in a coma. You're still one hell of a kisser.

(She starts laughing at him along with both Jennifer and Gale who can't help but look at the two protective older brothers.)

Sidney: Well thank you.
Mark: You're welcome. And i have a feeling I'm getting the death stares from both Roman and Dewey.

(Sidney looks over at them and then back at Mark.)

Sidney: Yeah. You two stop it.
Roman: Man she's still bossy even after being in a coma for eleven years.
Jennifer: Well then stop giving her boyfriend the stink eye and get in there to talk to your sister.

(She pushes her fiancé into the room getting him to look at her.)

Roman: Rude.
Mark: That's what she said.

(Roman looks at him as they start laughing at his face.)

Roman: Asshole.
Mark: Takes one to know one.

(Then Mark's phone goes off which annoys him to no end.)

Sidney: Mark who the hell is that?
Mark: Sonny!

(He mutes the ringer and puts the phone away.)

Dewey: What the hell does he want?
Mark: I don't really know. And of all honesty I really don't care.
Sidney: What do you care about?
Mark: You being awake and being able to help me pick on Trevor and Mirby.

(Both Trevor and Kirby look at him and then to each other as their friends start laughing at their faces.)

Dewey: Almost like she hadn't fallen into an eleven year coma.

(Mark hearing that looks at him and smiles a little at him as he keeps ahold of Sidney's hands and he sits down next to her onto the bed. As he kisses both her hands again as he puts them down again. Seeing the

look on his face Sidney can tell there's something he wants to tell her but he doesn't wanna say anything due to how long she's been in coma.)

Sidney: Hey.
Mark: Yeah.
Sidney: What's up?
Mark: Sid you just woke up I don't want to upset you.
Sidney: You realize whatever it is you're keeping it's just gonna hurt me in the long run right?
Mark: I do know that. What I need to tell you can wait.
Sidney: You sure?
Mark: I am. But I will tell you one thing.
Sidney: What?
Mark: I graduated from Law school.
Sidney: Really?
Mark: Yeah.
Sidney: What kind of lawyer are you?
Mark: Prosecutor.
Sidney: Oh wow. How long?
Mark: About ten years now. I was just moved over to Major Crimes this morning.
Roman: Oh my god.

(He stands up and they all hug him then pull away from him.)

Dewey: So McPherson is officially your boss.
Mark: Yup. That's not awkward at all.
Jennifer: Lair.
Mark: No I am.

(They start laughing then calm down.)

Sidney: Well it's great to hear you're a lawyer now.
Mark: It is.
Sidney: Just make sure to tell her not to work you to hard. Or I'll have to hurt her.

(They start laughing again then calm down as Mark's phone goes off again. He grabs it out to see who it is. Seeing the number he smiles a little at it.)

Mark: Now this person I will be happy to take the call from.
Dewey: Who is it?
Mark: My new boss.

(He excuses himself after kissing Sidney then pulls away from her as he walks out of the room. He walks off further down the hallway to take the call and walks into the stairwell. As he walks in he closes the door

and answers the phone.)

Mark: Hey.
Maggie: Hey. Took you awhile to answer the phone.
Mark: Yeah Mag's I'm sorry. Sidney's family was in the room.
Maggie: You scared to talk to me while their in the room?
Mark: What? No. Maybe a little.

(She laughs on the other end as she can tell there's something he wants to tell her.)

Maggie: Hey.
Mark: She's awake Mag's.
Maggie: I know. Mark!
Mark: I think it's best if we do this in person.
Maggie: Okay. I can head down there now and we can talk in person.
Mark: Okay that'll be great. I'll see you when you get here.
Maggie: Okay. Hey.
Mark: Yeah.
Maggie: It'll be okay really.
Mark: I know that. I just really like you.
Maggie: I really like you too.

(They say their goodbyes then Mark hangs up as he turns around he sees both Jill and Kirby there and laughs at them.)

Mark: How much of that did you two hear?
Jill: Enough. So you had moved on with your life.
Mark: I had.
Jill: Well.
Mark: Jill!
Jill: No it's fine. You moved on with your life. And even if you had at least you were you still came to sit with Sid.
Mark: Yeah.
Jill: You realize you can't keep this from her.
Mark: I'm aware. She's are ready brought it up. I don't plan on keeping this from her. I just want her to be stronger before I even drop something like this into her lap.
Kirby: We get it. It's just Olivia's got this ex who just came back to Woodsboro and she has a history of trying to blackmail people into doing what she wants them to do.
Mark: Really?
Jill: Yeah she's a real piece of work. Just be careful if you two meet up in public and talk about this.
Mark: Are right.
Kirby: Okay. Anyway. So if any of us get into trouble.
Mark: What?
Jill: Could you get us out of it.

(Mark looks at her and laughs as he looks at Kate and Damien who are looking at their daughter.)

Jill: On second thought.

(They both run from the stairwell.)

Kate: Hi Mark.
Mark: Hi.

(He walks over to her and she hugs him then pulls away from her.)

Damien: How you doing?
Mark: I'm good. Still trying to wrap my mind around Sid being awake but I'm are right.
Kate: So who is she?

(Mark looks at them and then looks off knowing he really should of left the hospital if he was gonna take that call from Maggie.)

Mark: Okay seriously. Is there no place in this hospital anyone can go to get privacy?
Kate: Not when it comes around to Sidney. So who is she?
Mark: Her names Maggie. We haven't been dating long.
Kate: Maggie! As in Maggie McPherson!
Mark: Yes.
Damien: Isn't she?
Mark: Yes. But we started dating before I moved to Major Crimes.
Damien: Okay.
Mark: And before you two ask. Yes I do plan on telling Sidney. Just not this very second.
Kate: Why not?
Mark: Because she's not strong enough. And I really don't want give her a reason not to get better.
Kate: So what you're just gonna lie to her?
Mark: NO. I don't plan on lying to her forever. You didn't see the look on my face when I got that call from Jill. Telling me that Sidney had finally woken up after eleven fucken years.

(They both look at him and then look off.)

Mark: I get it. You guys are all protective. I get it. I do but I had a right to move on with my life. I had noway of knowing when or if Sid was ever going to wake up. I love Sid I do a lot and when that accident

happened a big part of me fucken died thinking she was never going to wake up so yes I moved on with my life. So hate me as much as you want. I'm not gonna make any excuses as to why I did what I did. Other

then I fell in love with someone else. And if you two must know. I do plan on ending it with her.

(Then shoves around them and out into the main part of the hospital as he walks out he turns and walks off to go and stand outside to think about what he's gonna say to Maggie.)

Back over in Sidney's room.

(She's watching the television as someone walks into the room.)

Jill: Hey.

(Sidney looks over at her and smiles at her.)

Sidney: Hey you are right?
Jill: Yeah. I'm just happy you're awake.
Sidney: So am I.

(Jill smiles at her.)

Sidney: Hey come here.

(Jill walks over to her and gets onto the bed with her and lies with her cousin who she's very happy to know is still alive and awake. And that's how Mark and Roman find them after he had walked back into the

hospital to see both cousin's asleep seeing them so close Mark smiles at them as his phone goes off he grabs it out to see who it is seeing the number he gets annoyed and mutes it then shuts it off as both him

and Roman walk into the room.)

A week later.

At Woodsboro Community Hospital.

(Sidney's getting her things ready to go as she's getting ready to go Mark walks up to the door and knocks on it getting her to turn and look at him.)

Mark: Hey beautiful.
Sidney: Hey. I thought you were in LA. I heard you had some big case.
Mark: No. Maggie being my boss she took it.
Sidney: Okay.
Mark: I wanted to be here with you and give you a ride to Kate's.

(Sidney nods her head at him as he walks up to her.)

Mark: Sid!

(She looks at him and can see the look on his face.)

Sidney: Hey. What's the matter?
Mark: You know I love you right?
Sidney: Of course I do.

(He walks closer to her and leans against the bed.)

Mark: I want you to know that. Every second of the day. Over the years. I was always right here wishing and hoping that you would wake up and days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months and months turned into years.

(Sidney looks at him and lets him continue.)

Mark: Even with you in a coma I loved you so damn much. I kept wishing and hoping you would wake up. You had your friends and your family around you.
Sidney: Okay.
Mark: Okay. Um long story short. I had been seeing someone else.

(Sidney looks at him and then looks off not sure of what to say to him. Then she looks at him again.)

Sidney: You were seeing someone else?
Mark: I was.
Sidney: You gave up on me.
Mark: What? No. I didn't.
Sidney: Yes you did. You're standing here telling me that you had been seeing someone else.
Mark: I didn't start dating them right off the fucken bat Sid. I'm not like a lot of guys out there who after three months say oh well she's never waking up so I'm gonna go find someone else to date to help me get the person I was with before the accident.
Sidney: So when did you two start dating?
Mark: Just before you woke up.

(Sidney looks at him and then looks off then she walks over to the window and looks out of it.)

Sidney: You two still together?
Mark: No. I ended it.
Sidney: Why?
Mark: Because it's not fair to her and to you.

(Sidney looks at him.)

Sidney: How would it not be fair to either one of us. What was this woman going to be a rebound.
Mark: No. She wasn't.
Sidney: Mark I just.
Mark: I'm sorry. I know that's not helpful.
Sidney: No it's not. It's far fucken from it. You started dating someone else.

(She walks over to him and pushes him getting him to back up and stands off on his own.)

Sidney: And the fact that you did it right before I woke up. Are you fucken kidding me. And you ended it right after I woke up.
Mark: I did.
Sidney: Why?
Mark: Because it wouldn't of been fair to her.
Sidney: To her. You.
Mark: Sid!
Sidney: You gave up.
Mark: No I didn't.
Sidney: Yes you did. You started seeing someone else and for what?
Mark: I just.
Sidney: I. Mark I just.
Mark: I never gave up Sid. I won't make excuses because a lot people make them and excuses isn't something you need or want.
Sidney: No it's not.
Mark: Sid I was in hell when you fell into that coma. I sat by your bedside every chance I got. After I graduated from Law school I sat in that chair and I wouldn't leave until either Gale or Dewey came in and told me

to go home. I was in hell when I learned of the accident I heard the wards accident and Sidney come out of your uncles mouth me Dewey Gale and Roman were all in the car headed here to see you. Weeks after your

accident I never left this spot. I told myself that one day she would wake up and we could get back to what we were before. But as days months weeks and years went on. I was trying to keep myself from giving up

on you. But i was always here by your side still hoping you would wake up. Was i seeing someone else when I got that call from Jill. Yes I was. I was thrilled when I found out that after eleven years you had finally

woken yes I was. But I was also shocked to hear those wards come out Jill's mouth. But the minute I found out. I was headed here to see you.

(Sidney looks at him.)

Mark: The day I found out you had woken up. I was at work. I was in talking with my new bosses when I got called.
Sidney: This new boss wouldn't happen to of been your new girlfriend would it?
Mark: Okay know what? That's not why I was moved to Major Crimes and if you guys wanna see it that way. Fine.
Sidney: Mark come on.
Mark: I just thought you deserved the truth.
Sidney: A week later.

(He laughs at her and then turns to walk off. But decides against it.)

Mark: Did you honestly want me to tell you right after you had woken up from an eleven year fucken coma?
Sidney: Yes.
Mark: What?
Sidney: I asked you when I woke up if anything was wrong with you. And you said it could wait.
Mark: It could of.
Sidney: And you should of told me anyway.
Mark: I didn't wanna be the reason why your family lost you for good. That accident was bad enough. If I had told you the truth right after you woke up. I was afraid something would of gone wrong and we would of lost you the same day you had woken up. But hey if you had wanted your family to blame me for your death then fine. I should of told you that day.

(Sidney looks at him and then looks off.)

Mark: You know what? I'm just gonna go. It's clear you don't want to see me anymore so I'll go.

(He turns and walks out of the room as Sidney stands there not sure of what to say or do as she's standing there Roman walks into the room and knocks on the door getting her to look up at him.)

Roman: You want a ride home?
Sidney: Yeah. I really can't see Mark right now.
Roman: Okay. He's actually the one who told me to come and give you the ride home.

(Sidney smiles at him as they both turn and walk out of the room.)

Later that day.

At the Roberts residence.

Up in the guest bedroom.

(Sidney's lying down on the bed thinking as someone knocks on the door.)

Sidney: It's open.

(The door opens and Jill walks into the room and closes the door behind her once it's closed she walks over to her cousin and sits down next to the bed on the floor and waits for when she's ready to talk.)

Downstairs.

(Someone knocks on the door.)

Kate: Coming.

(As she gets to the door she opens it to find Mark Kincaid there and gets annoyed.)

Kate: What the hell are you doing here?
Kincaid: I got a call from Mark saying Sid was awake.
Kate: She is. And it took you long enough to come and see her.
Kincaid: I was undercover. I couldn't leave my post.
Kate: Oh. Well she's not really up for visitors.
Kincaid: Mark told me that.
Kate: It seems like it. He's also giving her the space she needs and wants.
Kincaid: Got it. I'll come back.
Kate: Okay.

(He turns and walks off as he walks off Kate closes the door and then looks up the stairs worrying about her niece.)

Damien: She's fine Kate.
Kate: Yeah I know. But I still can't help but worry.

(He gets up and walks over to her.)

Damien: He loved her Kate. After so many years. We can't judge Mark for moving on with his life. He was starting to think like the rest of us. He wasn't sure if she would ever wake up. And after elevan years. He knew it was time to move on.
Kate: I know that. But with his boss.
Damien: Now she wasn't his boss when they started dating. And if i remember right. He said he ended it as soon as Sid woke up. It couldn't of been easy for him to tell her truth but he did it.
Kate: I know but he.
Damien: Babe. Mark loves Sidney and hurting her the way he did I can tell he's hurting just as much as she is. I can tell his ex meant a lot to him. But Sidney's the woman he's trying to get back.
Kate: I know that. And I can't tell you how grateful i am to him for giving her the space she needs and wants.
Damien: Yeah.

(He grabs his wife into him and he hugs her.)

A couple of months later.

In Los Angeles.

At the Hall of justice.

(Mark's sitting down at his desk looking over some paper work as someone walks up to his desk and sits down next to him.)

Mark: Hello Mickey.

(He laughs at him as Mark puts his pen down and looks up at him.)

Mickey: Just wanted to come and see how you're doing?
Mark: I've been better.
Mickey: Yeah you look it.
Mark: Yeah.
Mickey: Mark!
Mark: It's been two months since Sid woke up and I've been giving her as much space as she needs. I mean we talk on and off but.
Mickey: No we get it.
Andy: Hey Mark.
Mark: Yeah.
Andy: There's someone down in the lobby wanting to see you.
Mark: Who is it?
Andy: Sidney Prescott!

(Mark gets up and grabs up his coat to go down and talk to her.)

Minutes later.

Down in the lobby.

(Mark walks off of the elevator and walks over to their lobby.)

Sabrina: She's over there.

(He walks over to her.)

Mark: Sid!

(She looks up at him then stands up.)

Sidney: Hi.

(He looks at her and knows something is wrong.)

Mark: What's wrong?
Sidney: Mark!

(He walks over to her and she quickly hugs him as their hugging he kisses her head then pulls away from it.)

Mark: What's the matter?

(She pulls away from him.)

Sidney: Their gone.

(He looks at her confused.)

Mark: Who is?
Sidney: My dad and Uncle.
Mark: What?
Sidney: They were both on the way to do their annual camping trip.
Mark: Okay.
Sidney: Some asshole ran into them.

(He looks her and then hugs her again.)

Mark: I'm so sorry Sid.

(She nods her head into his chest as he looks at his friends who had come down into the lobby and see him with Sidney in his arms. Seeing Sidney in Mark's arms Maggie can't help but get jealous of what's going

on and feels bad for her.)

Mark: Mag's do you mind?
Maggie: No go ahead.

(He nods his head at her as Mickey hands him his brief case and they both walk out of the building. As they walk out Mickey looks at his ex wife and can tell what she's thinking.)

Mickey: Mag's!

(Maggie looks at him.)

Maggie: I'm are right.
Mickey: Hey.

(He walks up to her and she looks at him.)

Maggie: I'm are right really.

(Then she turns and walks off to go back to her office.)

Minutes later.

Back up in her office.

(Maggie's sitting down at her desk looking over some paperwork as Mickey walks into the office and closes the door once it's closed he sits down in the chair in front of her desk and sits there waiting for when

she's ready to talk to him. Feeling him there she laughs.)

Maggie: I'm serious Mickey I'm fine.
Mickey: Now Maggie I've known you long enough to know you're lying.
Maggie: Damn.
Mickey: So talk to me.
Maggie: You really wanna know?
Mickey: Yes.
Maggie: Okay fine.

(She puts her pen down and looks at her ex.)

Maggie: I'm in love with him.

Maggie: I'm in love with him.

(Mickey looks at her and feels bad for her as he stands up and walks around her desk pulling her up once she's up she hugs him as their hugging Maggie's trying to keep from losing it until Mickey says something

that gets her to start crying and he kisses her head. Then she pulls away from him as he grabs a tissue from his bag and hands it to her taking it from him she smiles at him.)

Mickey: I'm sorry Mag's.
Maggie: Thanks.
Mickey: You're welcome.
Maggie: I honestly didn't think I would fall so quickly for him. He's a nice guy or so I thought he was.
Mickey: I would say I'm sorry again. But I have a feeling it wouldn't work.
Maggie: It really wouldn't.
Mickey: I'm not about to make excuses for him Mag's.
Maggie: I know that. But.
Mickey: Honestly. I believe he's in love with the both of you. And it's got him conflicted. I don't think I've seen someone that conflicted since well me.

(Maggie looks at him confused.)

Mickey: When I first met Lorna i kept telling myself I didn't wanna move on with my life. Because of how I still felt about you and thought all she would be is a rebound.

(Maggie looks at him and laughs off the shock.)

Maggie: Is she?
Mickey: In a lot of ways I tell myself she is. Until I think about how good she is with Hayley and then i realize she's not one. She makes me happy.
Maggie: Well that's great to hear.
Mickey: Give him sometime Mag's he's got a lot to sort out. But hey if you want me to go and yell at him I will. I'll go and kick his ass.

(Maggie laughs at him.)

Maggie: No.
Mickey: You sure. Because I can. He don't scare me.
Maggie: Yeah well you don't scare him either. Sidney's brother's scare him more then you do.

(Mickey looks at her pretends to be offended by what she just said.)

Mickey: Well then.

(Maggie laughs at him as he looks off pouting which only makes her laugh more at him.)

Maggie: Oh my god stop it.
Mickey: No. You hurt my feelings.

(She continues to laugh at him as he turns and looks at her again.)

Maggie: You're an ass.
Mickey: I know that. I was just trying to bring a smile to your face.
Maggie: Well thank you.
Mickey: You're welcome.

(She hugs him again as their hugging Lorna walks into the office and smiles at them as she turns and walks out and closes the door behind her.)

Mickey: You're a wonderful woman Mag's. Mark will see it again.
Maggie: He saw it before.
Mickey: He did. And he was lucky man. I know I was while we were together and I went and screwed it up.

(Maggie looks at him and smiles at him.)

Maggie: Yeah.
Mickey: In a lot of ways I wish I had fought harder to keep you in my life.

(Maggie laughs at him.)

Mickey: I'm serious.
Maggie: What?
Mickey: Don't get me wrong. I love Lorna I do. She makes me happy.
Maggie: But.
Mickey: I wasn't the best husband towards the end Mag's. And I'm sorry. If I could honestly go back and fix what I fucked up.
Maggie: Then you wouldn't have Lorna and I wouldn't be in love with Sidney Prescott's ex. And not to mention.
Mickey: What?
Maggie: Mickey we were fighting a lot. That's not a healthy marriage.
Mickey: I know it wasn't. I'm just saying.
Maggie: I know that.
Mickey: Okay. Well I'm gonna go back to the office and well.
Maggie: Don't you mean your car.

(Mickey looks at her and laughs.)

Mickey: Rude.

(He walks out of the office laughing along with Maggie.)

Maggie: Mickey!
Mickey: Yeah.
Maggie: Thank you.
Mickey: You're welcome. Kick some ass McFierce.

(Maggie laughs at him as he walks out again.)

Maggie: Shit.

Hours later.

In Woodsboro.

At the Roberts residence.

In the Livingroom.

(Both Mark and Sidney are sitting down on the couch talking.)

Sidney: I just don't get it Mark.
Mark: I don't either. I'm sorry Sid.
Sidney: Thank you.
Mark: If there is anything you guys need let me know okay.
Sidney: Thank you.
Mark: You're welcome.

(As their both sitting there talking the front door opens as both Dewey and Roman walk in and Roman closes the door as they close it they walk into the Livingroom to see Mark sitting there with Sidney and then

get annoyed hearing their annoyed sighs. Mark turns and looks at them. Then he stands up.)

Mark: What?
Dewey: You break my sister's heart and you have the nerve to show your face around here.
Mark: Sidney came to LA to tell me about Damien and Neil.

(They both look at him and then to each other.)

Mark: So keep your comments to yourself Riley. It's not like you're all that fucken innocent. I know I fucked up I don't need to be reminded of it.

(Dewey looks at him and then looks as Mark pushed past him and walks out of the house to go and stand on the porch as he gets out there he sits down on the railing then looks out at the street hoping to be left

alone. Because Mark knows he screwed up and he knows he hurt both of the women he loves he doesn't need both Dewey and Roman telling him just how much he screwed up. With him still sitting out there

Roman walks out of the house walks over to him seeing the brother of his ex walking towards him he looks at him and then looks out on the street again.)

Roman: Mark!
Mark: I fucked up I get it. I did the one thing I swore I'd never do when it comes around to Sidney. I broke her heart I get that.
Roman: I know this.
Mark: Do you?
Roman: Yes.
Mark: Honestly I'm an asshole I gave up on the idea of Sid ever waking up and I moved on with my life. I fell in love with someone else. I must be a bad person.

(Roman looks at him and then looks off as Mark gets off of the railing and looks out.)

Roman: Mark you really can't blame me and Dewey for being over protective.
Mark: I know that. I'm not saying that you two can't be. I just don't need to be reminded of how I fucked up.

(Roman looks at him and then looks off.)

Roman: You broke my little sister's heart. I know you've owned up to what you did. I know you have. But Sid's heart wasn't the only one you broke. You got into a relationship with someone else and then broke up with her the minute Sid woke up. Now if you ask me that was a real dick move.
Mark: I know it was. You don't think I don't think about how big of a prick I am for doing that to her. I mean fuck sake Roman she's my bestfriends ex wife.

(Roman looks at him and realizes who it was he was dating before Sidney woke up.)

Roman: You and McPherson?
Mark: Yeah.
Roman: Dude what the hell?
Mark: She was the woman I found myself growing close to while Sid was in the coma.
Roman: But Mickey's ex wife. It could of been any other woman you could of been spending all that time with. And the one woman you chose to be a dick to was Mickey Haller's ex wife.

(Mark looks at him and then looks off.)

Roman: Mark!
Mark: Yes.
Roman: What the hell? You know over protective of that he is.
Mark: Oh I know how over protective he is of her. I even know how over protective of her that his brother is.
Roman: So why her?

(Mark looks at him and then looks off.)

Mark: Because I fell in love with her. She was starting mean something to me. Every part of me kept telling me not to start dating her that once I moved on with my life. Sid would wake up and I would do what my brother's always do.
Roman: And that is?
Mark: I would end up breaking her heart and going back to the woman I was with before the accident. I'm not saying this because I'm trying to get you to feel bad for me. I'm not. I really do love Sidney. She made me happy.

(Roman looks at him and then looks behind him at Dewey.)

Mark: I really don't need it from him.

(Mark walks off to go and be alone as Dewey walks off after him.)

Dewey: Hey.

(Dewey looks at him and then back at Roman.)

Dewey: Oh come on. We all know you're nothing like Billy. But yes you fucked up when you gave up and the fact that you broke Sid's heart and are acting like you don't care.
Mark: I care more then you think Riley. See unlike some people i care. I knew I had fucked up the minute I got that call from Jill. I have been telling myself for well over two months how much I screwed up. I love Sidney Dewey.
Dewey: More than Maggie McPherson.
Mark: You know I could answer that. But I'm not going too.
Dewey: Why the hell not?

Mickey: Well then you better fucken answer it for me.

(Mark turns and looks at him then walks away from them.)

(Mickey looks at him and then looks off knowing that Mark's right but then he charges him sending him over as they both go over he starts beating on him as he continues to beat on him. Sidney hearing the fight

going on outside rushes out and sees both Mickey and Mark fighting as their fight continues Kincaid rushes in with Mickey's brother and grabs Mickey off of Mark and lightly pushes him away from him and Then

Dex looks at Mark and punches him sending him over as he hits the ground he goes after him after him again only to have Mark get the upper hand and punches him sending him over as he goes over Mark stands

up and looks at everyone then walks off not wanting to fight with anyone else tonight.)

Sidney: Mickey are you fucken kidding me?

(Mickey looks at her and then looks off.)

Dewey: Now wait a minute Sid.
Sidney: I will get to you in a minute.

(He looks at her and then looks off.)

Mickey: I. Why the hell are you defending him.
Sidney: Because he was right.

(Mickey looks at her thrown.)

Mickey: What?
Sidney: From what I've heard from Jill and her friends. You never once tried to fight for your marriage. You let Maggie file the divorce papers and then washed your hands of her.

(Mickey looks at her and then to his brother who looks off knowing she's right.)

Mickey: I.
Sidney: I know what he said wasn't called for. But you don't get to come here and get into his face about what he did to Maggie. When you did the same thing.
Mickey: Are you seriously defending him?
Sidney: I shouldn't be. But yes I am. I know he broke my heart Mickey and he knows he broke Maggie's. He doesn't need three jackasses throwing it into his face. I really don't want to hear it from Dex.

(Dex looks at her and backs off.)

Sidney: And you?
Dewey: What?
Sidney: Jennifer seriously?

(Dewey look at her and then looks off.)

Dewey: He's the one marrying her.
Sidney: She was also his girlfriend at the time. So you really have no fucken room to talk when it comes around to hearts being broken Dewey.

(Dewey looks at her and then looks off.)

Sidney: Dex take your brother and get the hell off my aunts property.

(Dex nods his head at her as they both walk off.)

Dewey: Sid!
Sidney: Like I said he knows he fucked up he doesn't need you guys always throwing it in his face. And he's right. I went to LA and told him about my father and my uncle being killed. So get the fuck off of your high horse.

(Then she turns and walks off inside of the house annoyed with both of her brothers.)

The following morning.

At Woodsboro's famous Café.

(Mark's in there getting some coffee once he has it ordered he pays for it and then leaves the line to go and pick it up once he gets it. Once his coffee is done they hand it to him and he walks off to go the gym and

work out and kind beat out his frustions for how he's treating both Sidney and Maggie and to even try and get what he said to both Dewey and Mickey. He knows what he said was fucked up and it never should of

been said but he let the words slip out of his mouth before he could stop himself.)

Minutes later.

At the gym.

(Mark's over by the punching bag beating on it as he continues to beat on the punching bag he starts flashing back to what he was saying to the people he calls his friends and starts beating on the bag harder and

enough to where he nearly takes it off it's hook had it not been for someone walking up to him and stopping the bag.)

Mark: What you want?
Dex: Did you really have to say what you did to my brother last night?
Mark: No. And at the time I didn't care if I had hurt his feelings.
Dex: I kind of figured. Mark you of all people know how protective of Maggie he is. Just because their ex's doesn't mean he doesn't still care.
Mark: Oh yeah. Did he still care about her when he quickly remarried.

(Dex looks at him and then looks off.)

Dex: Seriously?
Mark: I'm sorry. How long were him and Maggie divorced before he was are ready married to someone else?

(Dex knows Mark's only saying this because he's hurting himself for what he did to both women he loves.)

Dex: Mark!
Mark: What?
Dex: I get it you're pissed at yourself for what you did to both Sidney and Maggie. But lashing out at my brother isn't helping you any.
Mark: You seem to keep forgetting that your brother started in on me.
Dex: You called him a quitter.
Mark: No he called himself that.
Dex: Okay look I'm trying to have a good conversation here. But all you're doing is throwing digs at my brother.
Mark: Would you rather I throw them at Dewey and Roman.
Dex: You did it enough last night.
Mark: You brother beat the hell out of me and you really expect me to go and kiss and make up with him.
Dex: No. I'm only asking you to stop being such a dick long enough to hear them out.
Mark: You know I've been hearing them out the last two fucken months. And I'm sick of hearing it. I honestly and seriously fucken get it Dex. I broke Sidney and Maggie's hearts. I GET IT.

(Dex stands there.)

Mark: For eleven years Dex after her accident I sat by her bed. Hoping and fucken praying that she would wake up so that we could be together again. Whenever I wasn't in school I was by her side. After I graduated

from Law school. I was by Sidney's side day in and day out. Day after day night after night. Week after week Month after month. Year after fucken year. My ass stayed glued to Sidney's side. I didn't wanna leave it

because I feared that I would get the call from Dewey Gale Roman Jill or anyone really telling me that the love of my life had given up and died. Then you've got people like Dewey who sleeps with someone he

works with. And then you've got your brother who had given up on his marriage all because he couldn't handle it anymore. So until they can see their error of their ways. I don't want to fucken hear it from them. Or

how about until you get into a relationship with someone really understand what it's like to be in love with two women at once.

(Then he turns and walks off as he walks off Dex stands there in shock over what he had just heard. But what they both failed to notice was someone sitting not that far from them and had an evil smirk on her face

knowing Mark's slowly losing it.)

An hour later.

At Woodsboro High school.

(All of the friends are sitting around the founation when they hear something come over the speakers listening what's being said. Both Kirby and Olivia look at each other along with Jill.)

Olivia: Shit.

(They all get up and run off towards the school as they get there they run in and head for the office as they get to the office they run behind the counter and quickly cut it off and look at each other.)

Charlie: Who the hell plugged that in?
Olivia: I have an idea. And it's someone I'm going to kill.
Jill: Who?
Olivia: My stalker ex girlfriend.

(They all look at her and then look off annoyed.)

(Then Olivia grabs the recorder as they all walk out of the office.)

(Jill and the other's walk inside of the house.)

(Trevor closes the door and they all walk off towards the kitchen.)

Jill: While we were at school today someone played a recording of Mark talking with Mickey's brother.
Mark: What?

(She puts the recorder onto the table and Mark grabs it up and then pushes play on it as their listening to it Mark puts his head down as he picks it up and stops it.)

Sidney: Mark!

(He turns and walks off outside to go and think.)

Trevor: I'm guessing that's not what he wanted you to hear.
Sidney: No I think the part before that was something he wanted to hear.
Trevor: Oh boy.
Sidney: Who did this?
Olivia: My ex girlfriend.

(Sidney nods her head at her and then looks out at her ex whose got his head down in annoyance for the hell he's putting the women he's in love with in and knowing his conversation was just played over the loud

speakers at Jill's school isn't making things any better for him.)

Sidney: Give me a minute.

(They nod their heads at her as she gets up and walks out of the house and over to Mark whose leaning on the railing.)

Mark: I'm a dick.
Sidney: You want me to argue with you?
Mark: No I don't.

(She walks over to him and leans on the railing.)

Sidney: Mark!
Mark: Eleven years ago Sid. I had it all. I had you I was working towards something I had really wanted to do. And now all I have a law degree and two women I'm very much in love with.

(Sidney looks off not sure of how to respond to that.)

Mark: I'm sorry Sid.

(Sidney looks at him.)

Sidney: Why?
Mark: I did something I swore to myself I would never do. And now because of it.

(Sidney moves closer to him and grabs his hand getting him to look at her.)

Sidney: Mark you had a right to move on with your life. I shouldn't of expected you to wait for me.
Mark: I know that. Sid I said some hurtful things last night and I know for a fucken fact that Mickey went and told Maggie what I said.
Sidney: Well if he did.
Mark: I'll take it on the chin like i did last night when Mickey started beating on me. Which i deserved.
Sidney: You kind of did.

(Mark nods his head at her.)

Mark: Yeah.
Sidney: Mark we all say things we don't mean at one point or another. Neither one of them should of gone after you the way they did.
Mark: No they should of. I keep forgetting how over protective of you that both Dewey and Roman are. And I forgot how protective of Maggie that Mickey is.

Mark: I know it's not. I just wanted you to know how sorry I am. You and Maggie don't deserve what I'm doing to either one of you.

(Sidney looks at him and lets him continue.)

Mark: I just. I never thought I'd be one of those guys who gives up on the woman he's with just to go and be with someone else. I prided myself on being who i am. Not who my brothers or father are.
Sidney: Mark!

(He looks at her again.)

Sidney: I can honestly tell you. Unlike your brothers and father. At least you were honest with me.
Mark: Yeah.
Sidney: Let me ask you something.
Mark: Yeah shoot.
Sidney: Do you still love me?

(Mark looks at her and places his hand onto her face getting her to lean into it.)

Mark: Of course I do.
Sidney: Are you still in love with me?
Mark: Yes I am.
Sidney: Are you still in love with Maggie?

(Mark drops his hand and then looks off then he looks at her again.)

Mark: I so badly wanna tell you no.
Sidney: Okay.
Mark: I have so much to be sorry for. Being in love with someone else is one of them.
Sidney: Don't ever be sorry for being in love with someone else Mark.
Mark: Were you sorry?
Sidney: No I wasn't. You treated me a hell of a lot better then Billy ever did. And I'm pretty sure the bastard was cheating on me.

(Mark looks at her and then looks off again.)

Mark: I have a lot to think about.
Sidney: Yeah.

(He smiles at her and then turns to walk off only to come face to face with Maggie.)

Mark: Hi.
Maggie: You son of a bitch.

(She throws her phone at him as it hits him it gets him right in the chest.)

Mark: What? And Ow did you just throw your phone at me?
Maggie: Yes I did. And where the hell do you get off telling Mickey what you did?

(Mark looks at her and knew Mickey had gone back to LA and told Maggie what he had said.)

Mark: I some how called it. When i said Mickey had gone and told you.
Maggie: He didn't go all the way back to LA to tell me. He called me upset.
Mark: Oh.

(Sidney walks off inside of the house.)

Maggie: What the hell Mark?
Mark: Well I'm sorry are right. I said somethings that hurt his feelings. It's just for last two months since Sid's been awake all him Dewey and Roman have been doing is throwing in my fucken face how i fucked up.

(Maggie looks at him and then looks off.)

Mark: I had a girlfriend who was lying in a coma for eleven fucken years and after all of that. I gave up. I gave up on her ever waking up. I did what my brothers and my father always do. I gave up on the woman i was with and moved onto someone else.

(Maggie looks at him and lets him continue.)

Mark: I did something i told myself I would never do. Only thing is I screwed up again when i broke up with this other person to go back to Sidney. Just to fuck that up by telling her the truth. I mean yes she had a right to know. I know she did. But she doesn't deserve to have a boyfriend who can't seem to make up his mind about who he wants to be with.

(Maggie continues to listen to him.)

Mark: I so fucken badly wanna go back to the day i told myself I was done waiting for Sidney to wake up and keep myself in that chair and continue to wait for her to open her eyes.
Maggie: Mark!
Mark: The whole time she was in coma you Mickey and Lorna were all there for me. You three were there for me not my family. You three.

(Maggie looks at him.)

Mark: Then I went and fucked it up. By falling in love with my bestfriends ex wife. And then broke her heart the minute Sidney woke up.

(Maggie looks off.)

Mark: Mag's there aren't enough apologizes in the world that would make up for what I did or for what I said to Mickey last night. What I said to him lastnight wasn't called for.

Mark: Honestly I saw him doing everything he could try and save your guys marriage. It was my brothers who weren't doing that.
Maggie: Mark!

(He looks at her as she walks closer to him and he faces her.)

Maggie: We all say things we wish we could take back.
Mark: Yeah.
Maggie: But we can't.

Maggie: All we can do is try to move past it.

(He nods his head at her.)

Maggie: But in order for you and Mickey to move past it you're gonna have to apologize to him.
Mark: If he'll talk to me.
Maggie: Well that's another story.
Mark: Yeah.
Maggie: Anyway.

(She turns and walks off as she walks off they both fail to notice a recording device on Jill's back porch and that it was on and recording as soon as the conversations ended the recording went off and the person

who was recording it had an evil smirk on her face and was looking forward to playing this for everyone she just had to find the right time to do so.)

An hour later.

Outside of the Roberts residence.

(Mickey pulls up and gets out of the car as he gets out he sees Mark and quickly goes after him as he gets to him he looks at Maggie.)

Outside of the Roberts residence.

(Mickey pulls up and gets out of the car as he gets out he sees Mark and quickly goes after him as he gets to him he looks at Maggie.)

Mickey: I'm going to kill you.

(Mark looks at him and quickly hides behind his ex.)

Maggie: Hey hey hey. Mickey what the hell is your problem?
Mickey: Did you not hear what he said.
Mark: What the fuck are you talking about. I was up on the balcony with Sidney talking to her about thinking about who I wanna be with.

(Mickey looks at him and then to Maggie.)

Mark: I don't know what it is you heard. But I'm seriously going to be thinking about who I want to be with.
Mickey: So you didn't?
Mark: No. Mickey me and Sidney were together for three years. There are still. Maggie can you give us a minute?
Maggie: Yeah.

(She walks off to let them be alone.)

Mickey: I.
Mark: I get it your protective of Maggie and I can understand and respect that. But you don't get to come onto my friends property and start making threats towards my life understood.
Mickey: Understood.

(Then Mark walks around him to go think about things through. As he walks off Maggie walks up to her ex and smacks him in the head getting him to turn and look at her.)

Maggie: Seriously?
Mickey: Maggie!
Maggie: You know with how quickly you Dewey and Roman are always going after Mark. I'm starting to wonder if you three aren't trying to push him away.

(He looks at her and can tell she's Annoyed.)

Mickey: Maggie!
Maggie: You three aren't seeing how fucked up he is right now. Because he's having to go through this because three of his best friend's are being real pricks to him. I get it he broke my heart. But then again so did you.

(Then she walks off as Mickey stands there not sure of what to say or do.)

A few weeks later.

At The Roberts Residence.

In the Livingroom.

(Sidney's sitting down on the couch thinking about Mark and knowing the hell he's going through right now due to him having to think about who he wants to be with and she knows it's not easy for him to figure

out who it is he wants to be with. Knowing he's in love with them both and having to go through this thinking process alone doesn't make it any easier on him. And it really hasn't been easy on him due to what

Valerie has been doing to him and his friendships with both of her brothers and Mickey. With all of this going on Mark has been staying away from them. As she's sitting there Jill walks in and looks at her cousin

and feels bad for her.)

Jill: You worried about Mark?

(Sidney looks at her and smiles.)

Sidney: Yeah. I know he broke my heart. But he's hurting.
Jill: I know he is. Plus Dewey and Roman aren't helping things by treating him the way they do.
Sidney: Not just them.
Jill: Mickey!
Sidney: Yeah. With the way Mickey's treating Mark.
Jill: Think he's still in love with Maggie?

(Sidney looks at her and nods her head at her.)

Sidney: Yeah he is. But she's in love with Mark.
Jill: Yeah I know. But then again you're still in love with Mark.

(Sidney smiles at her.)

Sidney: Yes I am.

(Jill nods her head at her and sits down next to her.)

Jill: I'm sure he'll figure it out soon.
Sidney: I know he will. I'm not rushing him.
Jill: Good to know.

(Then they hear someone knock on the door Jill gets up to go and see who it is. As she gets to the door she opens it to find Mark there.)

Jill: Sid!

(She gets up and walks towards the door as she gets there she looks to see Mark there.)

Sidney: Mark!
Mark: Hi.

(Jill moves and let's him into the house as he walks in she closes the door behind him.)

Jill: I'm gonna go over to Olivia's.
Sidney: Okay.

(Jill smiles at her and Mark then grabs up her things to go over to Olivia's so that Mark and Sidney can talk alone.)

Sidney: Jill!
Jill: I promise we won't bad mouth Mark. Much.

(Mark puts his head down as they start laughing then calm down.)

Mark: That's nice.
Sidney: Go.

(Jill runs out of the house as Sidney laughs at her.)

Mark: Nice to know you two are getting along.
Sidney: Yeah. But she's also a pain in the ass.
Mark: Ahh like Gale.

(Sidney laughs at him.)

Sidney: Yeah. But I don't want to kill her. Most of the time.

(Mark smiles at her as he walks off towards the Livingroom to go and sit down so they can talk.)

Mark: Can we talk Sid?
Sidney: Yeah.

(She walks over to him and sits down next to him.)

Mark: I just wanted to tell you that. I've been doing a lot of thinking over the last three weeks and I'm still doing a lot of thinking now but.
Sidney: What?

(He looks at her and then stands up in order to keep him from doing something he wants to do and leans against the fireplace.)

Mark: Every time I believe I know who I wanna be with. I change my mind and I just I can't do this to you or to Maggie so.

(Sidney stands up and walks over to him.)

Sidney: What you mean you can't do this to me and to Maggie.
Mark: I can't pin the two of you against the other so. I'm gonna leave Woodsboro and the state of California all together.

(Sidney looks at him thrown by what he just told her.)

Sidney: You're leaving?
Mark: It's the only way. I can think of that'll help me figure out who it is I want. And I can't do it while I'm here.

(Sidney nods her head at him as he looks off annoyed with himself.)

Sidney: So you wanna leave all because you can't chose between me and Maggie. What you want me to do? Pull a Meredith Grey in Grey's Anatomy and beg you to stay and say that we're meant to be together or that you should pick me to love me.

(She shoves him getting him to look at her and then looks off.)

Mark: Sid!
Sidney: NO.

(He looks at her and then looks off knowing he's messed up again.)

Sidney: You weren't in an Eleven year coma only to wake up to find out that my boyfriend had given up on me and moved on with his life and started seeing someone else. And that someone else just happened to be Mickey's ex wife.

(Mark looks at her and then looks off knowing she's pissed at him.)

Sidney: You don't get to pretend that you had given up on me and then run away all because you can't chose between the two women.

(Mark looks at her again.)

Mark: I'm not leaving for good Sid.
Sidney: That's not the fucken point Mark and you know it.
Mark: I.
Sidney: You know.
Mark: What?

(She walks over to him and kisses him as their kissing he pushes her sweater off of her once it's off it falls to the floor and he picks her up once he has her they both walk up the stairs to her room as they get up to

her room he walks in and closes the door then he leans against it as he locks it. Then she pulls away from him.)

Sidney: I'd apologize but I'm not.
Mark: Neither am I.

(She smiles at him as he kisses her again as their kissing they both walk back towards her bed as they get there they both fall back onto it as they land on the bed Mark grabs and pulls Sidney's shirt up and off of

her once it's off he throws it to the floor as she smiles at him and he leans in and kisses her again as their kissing Sidney reaches between them and starts opening his shirt as she reaches the final button on his

shirt they sit up and she pushes it off of him once it's off she throws it to the floor as it hits the floor they pull away from each other as they both fall back onto it and he leans into her again.)

Mark: You okay?
Sidney: Yeah. Just so you know.
Mark: Yeah I know.
Sidney: Okay.

(He kisses her again as their kissing she deepens it sending them into a love making session.)

Over In LA.

At the Hall of Justice.

In Maggie's office.

(She's sitting at her desk working on a case as someone knocks on the door.)

Maggie: It's open.

(The door opens and the person who knocked on it looks into the office.)

Raven: Are you sure. Because it looked closed to me. Right babe.

(Adam looks at her and laughs.)

Adam: Leave it to you to make that joke.
Raven: Asshole.
Adam: And.

(He lightly pushes his wife into the office getting Maggie to laugh at them as they walk in he closes the door behind them.)

Maggie: See what I had to deal with growing up?
Adam: I do.
Maggie: What's going on?
Raven: We heard about Sidney Prescott waking up.

(Maggie looks at her and laughs.)

Maggie: She did. And when she woke up Mark broke up with me and back to her.
Adam: Are you sure their back together?

(Maggie looks at him and laughs.)

Maggie: No their not. He even broke up with her. In order to figure out who it is he wants to be with. And in doing so he's managed to piss off Mickey.
Raven: Of course he did.
Adam: I don't mean to sound like an asshole when I say this but.
Maggie: What?
Adam: Should Mickey really be the one to be all that pissed off at Mark.
Maggie: Aren't you?
Adam: I am. But then again so's Raven. But my point is. How long after you two divorced did it take for Mickey to remarry?

(Maggie and Raven both look at him and nod their heads at him.)

Raven: He's got a point Mag's.
Maggie: I know he does. Me and Mark have talked since the break up and he made it clear to me that I wasn't a rebound.
Raven: So he.
Maggie: He had actually fallen in love with me. It's just when Sidney woke up.
Raven: Things changed.
Maggie: Not by much.

(Raven laughs at her.)

Raven: Look Mag's I'm sure he still loves you.
Maggie: I'm sure he does. But does love me as much as he still loves Sidney Prescott?

(They both look at her and feel bad for her knowing that the man she's in love with is still very much in love with his ex.)

Meanwhile back in Woodsboro.

At the Roberts residence.

Up in Sidney's room.

(Both her and Mark are on the bed under the covers talking after making love to each other as their talking Mark says something that gets her to laugh and she smacks him getting him to laugh at her.)

Mark: I know. I'd apologize but I'm not.

(Sidney sits up grabbing her pillow and starts hitting him with it getting him to laugh at her then he grabs her and turns her over kissing her getting her to smile in it as their kiss continues their both smiling it then she pulls away from him.)

Sidney: This feels like it use.
Mark: What the goofing around and the kissing?
Sidney: Yeah. I miss that.

(Mark looks at her and smiles at her.)

Mark: I miss it too.

(Sidney looks at him and remains serious.)

Sidney: Mark!
Mark: Yeah.
Sidney: Please don't leave.

(He looks at her and smiles at her.)

Mark: You really don't want me to go?
Sidney: I really don't.
Mark: What you saying?

(Sidney looks at him as she places her hand onto his cheek getting him to lean into it.)

Sidney: I want us to try again. I know how you feel about Maggie I do.
Mark: Yeah.
Sidney: You don't want too?

(He looks at her and smiles at her.)

Mark: Sid While you were in the coma i kept hoping you would one day finally wake up and I would hear you say those very wards.
Sidney: Okay.
Mark: But I fell in love with someone else. Not that I expected the person I'd end up falling in love with being Mickey's ex wife.
Sidney: So you're saying no?
Mark: I'm not saying that. I'm just wondering about your brothers.

(Sidney nods her head at him.)

Sidney: See that right there is a cop out answer.
Mark: It was. I feel so ashamed of myself.

(Sidney starts laughing at him as he buries his face into Sidney's pillow getting her to kiss the side of his head and he looks at her again as he kisses her again as their kissing their both smiling in it then she pulls

away from him.)

Sidney: Mark!
Mark: Yeah.
Sidney: Don't worry about what Dewey or Roman are going to do.
Mark: Why not?
Sidney: Because the last time I checked it's still my life and I want us to try again.
Mark: Yeah?
Sidney: Yeah.
Mark: What about Kirby?

(Sidney looks at him confused.)

Sidney: What about her? We're just friends.
Mark: Sid anyone can tell she likes you.

(Sidney looks at him and smiles at him.)

Sidney: I'm sure she does. But I want this. I want us to try.
Mark: And if things between us don't work out?
Sidney: Then at least we'll know we at least tried.

(Mark looks at her and smiles at her getting her to smile back at him.)

Mark: This what you really want?
Sidney: It is.
Mark: Sid you just came out of coma.
Sidney: I did.
Mark: Really think we can just over look me and?

(Sidney looks at him and then looks off. Then she looks at him.)

Sidney: Probably not.
Mark: Because if we can over look what happened between me and Maggie. I would love nothing more then to be able to do this again.
Sidney: Mark!
Mark: Yeah.
Sidney: I can't over look you moving on with Maggie.
Mark: So then. I believe we both know the answer to that.
Sidney: Yes we do.

(Mark kisses her again as their kissing they both know it'll be the last time they both get to do this and know it's about time they both officially moved on with their lives. It just won't be anytime soon. Given how

they both still feel about the other.

Four months later.

In Llanview, PA.

At Llanfair.

(Mark's sitting down on the couch thinking as his phone goes off he grabs it to see who it is seeing the number he mutes it ans then puts his phone away. As someone walks into the livingroom to see him.)

Maggie: Boy life in Llanview must be great to get you to hide out here for. Four months.

(Mark looks over at his ex and stands up.)

Mark: Maggie!
Maggie: Hi.
Mark: Hi. What you doing here?
Maggie: Well when I haven't heard or haven't seen you in four months.
Mark: Another words.
Maggie: Janelle is getting worried that you're not coming back.

(Mark looks at her and then looks off.)

Mark: Oh.
Maggie: I'm also worrying that you're not coming back.

(Mark looks at her and then looks off as she walks over to him as she gets to him he grabs her closer to him and he looks up at her as he sits on the desk.)

Maggie: If I'm the reason why you don't want to go back tell me.
Mark: It's not you. It really isn't.
Maggie: Then what is it?
Mark: I've been doing a lot of thinking actually say I've been doing a lot more thinking over the last four months. And Llanview being my hometown. I thought this would be the best place to come back too.

(Maggie nods her head at him.)

Mark: Just before I came here I went to see Sidney and we talked. No actually she yelled I listened.

(Maggie laughs at him.)

Mark: After she said what she wanted to we.

(Mark moves away from her and towards the door to look out of the window.)

Maggie: You what?
Mark: I slept with her.

(Maggie looks at him and then looks off.)

Maggie: You slept with her?
Mark: Yeah.
Maggie: I fucken knew it.
Mark: What?
Maggie: You and Sidney got back together. I knew I was a rebound.

(Mark looks at her as she turns to walk off but he goes after her.)

Mark: No no no. wait. Maggie.

(Maggie turns and looks at him.)

Maggie: Why?
Mark: Me and Sidney aren't back together. And you sure as hell aren't a fucken rebound.

(Maggie looks at him.)

Maggie: I'm not.
Mark: No. You're not. Maggie. Yes we slept together. But we talked afterwards. I asked her if she could look past me and you being together and she said she couldn't.
Maggie: So.
Mark: So after we talked we both decided we wouldn't get back together.
Maggie: So you've been.
Mark: I've been here the last four months trying to figure out who I wanna be with. And after that I was gonna fly back into California to go and get the woman I love back.

(Maggie looks at him as he pulls her closer to him as she gets close to him he slides his hands up her shirt and she looks at him.)

Mark: I'm in love with you Mag's.

(Maggie smiles at him as he takes her shirt off and throws it to the floor as it hits the floor she kisses him as their kissing they both go back towards the Livingroom as they get there Mark pulls away from her walks off to go and lock up the front door then grabs up her shirt as he walks back into the livingroom and closes then locks the door.)

Maggie: Honestly Mark. I would feel better upstairs.
Mark: Well then the upstairs it is.

(He opens the doors and they both rush up the stairs to his room.)

Minutes later.

Upstairs.

(Both Mark and Maggie stumble into his room kissing as their kiss continues he kicks the door shut and locks it as he throws Maggie's shirt down and they both walk back towards his bed as they get there Mark sits down on it and Maggie gets into his lap. Then he pulls away from her and then leans in and kisses on her chest getting her to close her eyes in enjoyment. Then he pulls away from it.)

Mark: You're gonna be on top.
Maggie: I can manage that.
Mark: Okay good. I love having a beautiful woman on top.

(Maggie smiles at him as she kisses him again as their kissing they both fall back onto the bed as they land on Maggie reaches between them and starts opening his shirt as she reaches the final button on it she pushes it away from his chest and he sits up as she pushes it off of him and throws it to the floor as they both fall back onto the bed as they land on it she deepens it as she deepens it. Mark reaches between them and opens her belt and pants once their open she pulls away from him and opens his belt and pants once their open they both quickly strip out of the rest of their cloths and throw them to the floor as they turn around and Mark pulls the blankets down and they both get under them and start kissing again as their kissing they both fall back onto the bed and she deepens it sending them into a love making session. Making love is what they do through out the afternoon and into the evening that is until they got hungry and Mark ordered them so food from Buenos Dias. After eating they both sat down on the couch under the blanket after making love to each other again as their sitting there and talking Mark made a joke and she pushed him over and then got on top of him getting him to smile at her.)

Mark: I love you so much.
Maggie: I love you too.

(She kisses him again as their kissing she deepens it sending them into a love making session.)

The following morning.

In the kitchen.

(Mark's in there making him and Maggie breakfast as the house phone rings. Mark walks over to it and answers it.)

Mark: Hello!
Vikki: Hey honey.
Mark: Hey Mom what's up?
Vikki: You still at the house?
Mark: I am. And I have a surprise guest show up here. You three wouldn't know anything about that would you.
Natalie: No.
Mark: So if I asked Jared he's gonna agree?
Natalie: Yes.
Jessica: No.

(Mark laughs on the other end as he sees Maggie walk into the kitchen and smiles at her seeing him smiling at her she smiles back at him as he grabs her close to him and she kisses him as he hangs up with his family putting the phone down and continues on with the kiss as the phone goes off again getting them to pull away from each other.)

Mark: I'd apologize to them but I've missed doing that.
Maggie: Me. Mind if I use your shower?
Mark: No go right ahead.
Maggie: Okay.
Mark: You bring a change of cloths?
Maggie: Why? I have a feeling I won't be in them for very long.

(Mark looks at her as he sees her take her shirt off and walks off towards the stairs Mark leaves the phone ringing as he turns the stove off and runs off after Maggie.)

An hour later.

In Mark's room.

(Both him and Maggie are asleep as his phone goes off Mark wakes up reaches over for the phone to see who it is seeing who it is he looks over at Maggie and answers knowing she'd want to talk to him.)

Mark: Hey Mick what's up?
Mickey: Is Maggie with you?
Mark: Yeah. Why what's up?
Mickey: There was an accident.

(Mark hearing that quickly sits up which wakes Maggie up and she looks at him.)

Mark: Who was involved?
Mickey: Me. And before you ask no I wasn't drunk or high.
Mark: I wasn't. Are you okay?
Mickey: I'm fine. But the person I hit isn't.
Mark: Who'd you hit?

(Mickey looks at the car and walks over to them and pulls them back to their faces. Seeing who it is Mickey nearly loses it.)

Mickey: Oh god.
Mark: Mickey!
Mickey: I hit Kirby Reed's car. And Sidney and Roman are gonna kill me.
Mark: What? Why?
Mickey: Because Jill was also in the car. Oh god.
Mark: Are they breathing?
Mickey: Yes they are. Their just knocked unconscious.
Mark: Okay. We're on the way back.
Mickey: Okay.

(Then he hangs up as Mark looks at Maggie. He leans in and kisses her then pulls away from her.)

Mark: We gotta get back to Woodsboro.
Maggie: Why?
Mark: Mickey was in an accident.
Maggie: What? Is he okay?
Mark: He's fine. But the car he hit. The people inside aren't.
Maggie: Who was it?
Mark: Kirby Reed and Jill Roberts.

(She looks at him as they both quickly get up to start getting dressed.)

Later that day.

At Woodsboro community Hospital.

(Mark and Maggie rush into the building and towards everyone else.)

In the waiting room.

(their all there waiting for news on Jill and Kirby. As their all sitting there Olivia walks into the room and Robbie rushes over to her and she quickly hugs him. As their hugging Mark and Maggie rush into the waiting room.)

Maggie: Mickey!

(He looks up at her as he gets up and she walks over to him as she gets to him he hugs her getting her to smile a little at him and Mark walks over to Sidney to check on her.)

Mark: Sid!

(She stands up and does the samething and hugs him.)

Mark: Their gonna be okay.
Sidney: I know. God Mark I'm so scared.
Mark: I know. Where's Roman and Dewey?
Sidney: Dewey's still out at the scene and Roman's on his way in from LA.
Mark: Okay.

(He pulls away from her as they both sit down as Trevor rushes into the waiting room followed by Charlie.)

Trevor: How are they?

(They all look up at them.)

Sidney: Their both still in surgery.

(He nods his head at her as they walk over to them and Dewey walks into the waiting room.)

Dewey: Mark! Maggie!

(They both look over at him as they walk off together with him and out of the room once their out they look at him.)

Mark: What's up?
Dewey: We towed both cars to our lot.
Mark: Okay.
Dewey: Someone had tampered with the brakes on Mickey's car.

(They both look at him in shock.)

Two months later.

At Roberts residence.

In Jill's room.

(Both Jill and Kirby are both still asleep still healing from the accident they had two months earlier while their sleeping Sidney looks into the room to see them still sleeping and smiles knowing that she came close to losing someone else in her family and she's grateful to still have her aunt and cousin still in life. And she knows that Kirby's mother is just as grateful to have her daughter in her life even if Kirby's father isn't. And Kirby's friends eyes. That's a fucked up way to be.)

Down in the livingroom.

(Kate's getting ready to go work. When someone knocks on the door. She walks over to it and opens it to find Mark and Maggie there.)

Kate: Hey.
Mark: Hey. How are they?
Kate: Their both still asleep. Come in.

(They both walk in as she closes the door behind them and Sidney comes down the stairs.)

Mark: Hey Sid.
Sidney: Hey.
Mark: You okay?
Sidney: Not really. But I'm glad Jill and Kirby are okay.
Mark: Always good to hear. Had Trevor been by to see her?

(Sidney nods her head at him and wonders why he asked.)

Sidney: Why?
Mark: I was talking to Robbie the other day and he said Trevor's tried to get into the house to see Jill but he keeps getting stopped at the door by someone.

(Sidney looks at them and then looks off annoyed.)

Sidney: Shit.
Mark: Have any idea on who it would be?
Sidney: No. I don't.
Mark: Okay.
Sidney: I'm sorry hi Maggie.

(Maggie waves at her.)

Maggie: Hi.
Sidney: How you doing with all of this?
Maggie: I've been better.

(Sidney looks at her and then looks off.)

Mark: Sid!
Sidney: Sorry it's just weird is all.
Mark: I know.

(She smiles at him as Maggie's phone goes off she grabs it out to see who seeing the number she answers it.)

Maggie: Lorna!
Lorna: Hey. We've got a problem.
Maggie: What?
Lorna: Is Sidney there?
Maggie: Yes why?
Lorna: Because I'm about to throw my fist into her brother's face.

(Dewey looks at her in shock at what she had just said.)

Maggie: What? Why?
Lorna: Him and his officers are being offly quick to blame Mickey for Jill and Kirby's accident two months ago.
Maggie: What?

(Maggie looks at Sidney.)

Sidney: What's wrong?
Maggie: Do you have any idea on why Dewey would be blaming my ex husband for your cousins and Kirby's accident?
Sidney: What?

(Maggie hands her the phone.)

Sidney: Lorna it's Sidney put me on the phone with him.

(She hands the phone over to Dewey who takes and it to talk to Sidney.)

Sidney: You wanna explain to me why the hell you think Mickey ran into Jill and Kirby?

(Dewey puts his head down annoyed.)

Dewey: I'm just doing my job Sid.
Sidney: You do realize Mickey said he was the one who said he was also involved in the accident.
Dewey: Sid!
Sidney: Unless you have actual proof that Mickey drove into them deliberately stop bothering him Dewey.
Dewey: Sid come on.
Sidney: What fucken reason would Mickey have to run into my cousin and one of her bestfriends?

(Dewey falls silent on the other end.)

Dewey: He wouldn't.
Sidney: So back off of him Dewey.
Dewey: I can't do that.
Sidney: Why the hell not?
Dewey: We have new evidence to prove he ran into Jill and Kirby two months ago.

(Sidney looks at her ex and then to Maggie who she can tell is annoyed with him.)

Sidney: What new evidence?

(Mark hearing that looks up at her and then looks at Maggie who can see the protective look come through as far as Mickey goes.)

Sidney: Mark!

(Mark looks at her and then looks off annoyed.)

Mark: Babe can we talk outside?
Maggie: Yeah.

(Mark smiles at Sidney who smiles back at him. Then it hits him.)

Mark: Sid where is he?
Sidney: Dewey where are you?
Dewey: I'm in LA why?

(Mark asks for the phone and she hands it to him.)

Mark: Why the fuck are you in LA?
Dewey: I was coming to talk to Mickey.
Mark: Dude you have no Jurisdiction in LA. The LAPD find out a sheriff from Woodsboro is there questioning people about what happened in Woodsboro isn't gonna be to happy. Even if it is Mickey.
Mickey: Hey.
Dewey: I. Just wanted to ask him some questions.
Mark: For what?
Dewey: Mark come on.
Mark: Why the hell couldn't you of just called him on the phone?

(Dewey looks off annoyed.)

Mark: Dewey do I really need to pull the Lawyer card. Because If I do. I'll pull it in a fucken heartbeat.

(Both Sidney and Maggie look at Mark and know he isn't kidding.)

Dewey: I.
Mark: Get your ass back to Woodsboro and stay the hell away from Mickey Haller.
Dewey: I'm trying to investigate a car accident
here Mark.
Mark: Then investigate it here in Woodsboro now Los Angeles.
Dewey: I.
Mark: Get your ass back to Woodsboro Dewey.
Dewey: You can't make me. He's not your client.
Mark: He is now. Get your ass back to Woodsboro or I'm gonna have your badge.

(Then he hangs up with him as Mark looks at Sidney.)

Mark: I'm sorry.
Sidney: No it's okay.
Maggie: So you're gonna be Mickey's attorney?
Mark: Yeah. If Dewey keeps this up. I might have to be.

(They both nod their heads at him. Then Sidney looks up and sees Kirby there.)

Sidney: Hey.
Kirby: Hey.
Sidney: How you feeling?
Kirby: Like I was run over by a bus.

(They laugh at her as Kirby sits down on the stairs Sidney walks up to her and sits down next to her.)

Sidney: What's the matter?
Kirby: Every time I close my eyes. I see that day. The day I almost lost one of my bestfriend's.

(Sidney hugs her getting her to lean into her getting Mark to smile at them.)

Sidney: I know that day was scary.
Kirby: It was. Mickey's Lincoln came out of nowhere.

(Mark looks at her as he walks up and kneels down next to her.)

Mark: What you mean his Lincoln just came out of nowhere?

(Kirby looks at him.)

Mark: I'm not gonna get mad.
Kirby: I was at the stop sign getting ready to turn and then out of nowhere Mickey's Lincoln came in and hit us.
Mark: Did it look like he was trying to hit his breaks?
Kirby: Looked like it.

(Mark looks at Sidney who can tell what he's thinking.)

Sidney: Mark!
Mark: I need to look at Mickey's Lincoln.
Sidney: You pulled the lawyer card on Dewey.

(Mark nods his head at her.)

Sidney: But we'll look at it.

(Then Mark's phone goes off. He grabs it out to see who it is.)

Mark: Hey Mickey. What's up?
Mickey: The fucker arrested me.

Mickey: The fucker arrested me.

(Mark looks at Maggie and Sidney.)

Mark: He what?
Mickey: He just arrested me. And now we're headed back to Woodsboro.
Mark: Tell me your fucking joking.
Mickey: I'm really not.

(Mark puts his head down annoyed.)

Mark: Don't say anything. I'll meet you guys at the police station.
Mickey: Okay.

(They say their goodbyes and Mark looks at his ex and his girlfriend.)

Sidney: What he do?
Mark: He arrested Mickey.
Sidney: Why?
Mark: Who the hell knows.
Maggie: Son of a bitch.
Sidney: How long until they get here?
Maggie: At least three to four hours.

(Sidney looks at her and then looks off annoyed with Dewey.)

Sidney: Gale's gonna kill him. Fuck I'm going to kill him.

(She walks off to go and call Gale.)

Kirby: He might of been the one who hit us but.
Mark: What?
Kirby: Jill saw him trying to put his breaks on.

(They both look at her and then to each other.)

Maggie: He's trying to get Mickey locked up for this. And if that's the case. Dewey Riley is going to see just how protective of Mickey I can get.

(Mark looks at her and nods his head.)

Mark: I know he will. I love Dewey but he's crossed one of a line with this.
Maggie: Yeah. Just don't kill him.
Mark: I make no promises.
Maggie: Mark!
Mark: Okay. I'll play nice.
Maggie: Thank you.

(He smiles at her.)

Later that day.

Over at the Police station.

(Mark walks in and heads over to the interview room. As he gets there he walks in and closes the door behind him.)

Mark: Hey Haller.

(Mickey looks at him and laughs.)

Mickey: You were the last person I expected to see.
Mark: Maggie's on her way. Lorna with you?
Mickey: Yeah. She's on the phone with Frank.
Mark: He still got that crush on Maggie?

(Mickey laughs at him.)

Mickey: Wouldn't surprise me. But you know he's got one on you.

(Mark laughs at him.)

Mark: I doubt it. I'm not as pretty as Maggie.

(They start laughing then calm down unaware that Maggie had heard what Mark had said. He turns and looks at her.)

Mark: Hey babe.
Maggie: Hi.

(Mickey's laughing at him.)

Mark: You fucker. You knew she was there.

(He starts laughing then calms down.)

Maggie: Anyway. Have they tried to talk to you?
Mickey: Not yet.
Mark: What were you thinking?
Maggie: Where's Lorna?
Mickey: She's out talking to Frank.
Mark: You thinking?
Maggie: I am. Because with what Kirby just told us.
Mark: Then someone definitely tampered with Mickey's Lincoln.
Maggie: Yeah. We just need to find out who. Before Sheriff jackass can have arrested.
Mark: Babe he's are ready arrested him.
Maggie: I know that.
Mark: Oh you meant.
Maggie: Yeah. Something tells me.
Mark: Someone is trying to get Mickey out of the way.
Maggie: Yeah. But the only question is who?
Mark: I couldn't tell you. He's had so many clients and some of them could be pissed enough at him to pull something like this.
Maggie: Yeah I know.
Mickey: Or it could be someone linked to Mark.

(Mark looks at him and then to his girlfriend.)

Mark: Well if it is someone connected to me.
Maggie: It's more an likely someone who was related to Sidney or someone Sidney knew in high school.
Mark: Well there was Billy and Stu. But their both dead.
Maggie: Okay.
Mark: But there is one person.
Maggie: Who?
Mark: Leslie Macher!
Mickey: Whose that?
Sidney: She was Stu's sister.

(They all turn and look at her.)

Sidney: But we haven't seen or heard from her in years.
Maggie: Any reason as to why she would be showing up now?
Sidney: I can't think of anything.
Mark: But why would she mess with Mickey's Lincoln? Him and Maggie weren't around Woodsboro at the time of Billy and Stu's killing spree.
Sidney: She wouldn't care. If she can revenge for what happened to her brother.
Mark: Unless she are ready got it.

(They all look at him confused.)

Sidney: What you mean?
Mark: Sid your accident.
Sidney: What about it?
Mark: Get in here before Dewey does.

(She moves into the room and Mark closes the door behind her.)

Mickey: Mark what's going on?
Mark: What if Sid's accident was Leslie's revenge?

(They all look at him and then to each other.)

Maggie: If that's the case?
Mark: Maybe there needs to be two car accidents investigated.
Maggie: But we both know he won't do it.
Sidney: Why not?
Mark: He's so dead set on charging Mickey for Jill and Kirby's accident.
Sidney: Yeah well something tells me.

(Before Sidney can finish her sentence they hear Gale out in the hallway.)

Gale: DEWIGHT RILEY!

(Dewey turns and looks at the very pissed off Gale Weathers-Riley right behind him.)

Dewey: Gale!
Gale: Your office now.

(He looks at her and whines knowing this isn't going to be good.)

Back in the interview room.

(Mark and Sidney clap hands laughing.)

Mickey: You called his wife on him?

(Sidney nods her head at him.)

Mickey: Damn Mag's.
Maggie: I know. I'm never pissing you off.

(Sidney laughs at her.)

In Dewey's office.

(Both him and Gale are arguing over what he's doing to Mickey and his family.)

Dewey: We have proof that he's responsible for their accident.
Gale: He's not denying it Dewey. But the fact that you're so quick to try and arrest him. You're pissing alot of his friends off. One of which just happens to be Mark's new girlfriend who also happens to be Mickey's ex wife.
Dewey: I know that.
Gale: So why the hell are you going after Mickey so hard what the hell did he ever do to you? And you even think about using Sidney as an excuse. He thought he was never gonna see her awake again. He had a right to move on Dewey. I saw the hell he was going through while she was in a coma. She was in one for a eleven fucken years.

(Dewey looks at her and then looks off annoyed  by how he's been acting.)

Gale: He loved Sidney more than any of us will ever know. So do everyone a fucken favor and get the hell off of your high horse.

(Dewey looks at her and laughs off the shock.)

Gale: Mickey is one of Mark's bestfriend's Dewey. Stop trying to get him for something he hasn't even been denying.
Dewey: Mark just.
Gale: For fuck sake. Dewey. He fell in love with someone else. That's not against the law. I can tell he still loves Sidney we can see it on his face. But he's also in love with Maggie. So bad the fuck off. Or you'll lose more than just Mark's respect. You'll lose Sidney's and mine.

(Then she turns and storms out of the office. As she storms out Dewey just stands there not sure of what to say as he walks back over to his desk and sits down.)

Back in the interview room.

(Their all in there waiting for Dewey to come in and when he does they all look at him as he sits down and starts talking to Mickey but is being very much a jackass to him as he has been which is sending both Mark and Maggie into both ex wife and bestfriend mode. Mark having enough looks at Maggie.)

Mark: Are right that's enough. We're done here. Mickey let's go.

(They all get up and  walk out of the room as they walk out Mark slams the door behind them.)

Out in the hallway.

(Mark Maggie and Mickey are walking away from the room as they see Gale and Sidney talking.)

Gale: I have a feeling he's gonna keep at Mickey for this accident Sid. He's dead set on sending him to prison for this.
Sidney: Yeah and given by the look on Mark's face. You'd be right. Mark!

(He looks at her and smiles as they reach her.)

Mark: He's still being an ass. And if he doesn't stop Gale. I'm gonna have no choice but to go after him on the stand if he goes to trial.
Gale: I know. Me and Sidney wouldn't blame you.
Sidney: No I wouldn't.
Mark: Okay. You okay?
Sidney: I've never seen Dewey go after someone the sameway he's going after Mickey.
Mark: I haven't either.
Maggie: I'd ask why he's going after Mickey. But.

(Mark looks at her and then to Gale and Sidney.)

Mark: Hey if he's going after Mickey this hard because of me falling for Mickey's ex wife. Then that makes him the biggest prick around.
Sidney: Ouch.

(Mark looks at her and then looks off annoyed with himself as Sidney walks off.)

Mark: Fuck. Sid!

(He runs off after.)

Maggie: She's still in love with him.
Gale: Yeah.
Maggie: And given how quickly he ran after her.
Gale: If he is. Then I'm sorry.
Maggie: It's okay. I some how knew it wouldn't last.
Gale: I'm not saying he's gonna break up with you. Maggie he's just as in love with you. And it shows whenever he looks at you. It's just aside from them sleeping together. They never really had clouser.
Maggie: You think I'm a big part of that reason?

(Gale looks at her and laughs off the annoyance.)

Gale: No I don't. You Mickey and Lorna were all there for Mark when Sidney had her accident. What he wasn't getting from Dewey while she was in the hospital he was from you three. He needed his friends during that time and he wasn't really getting any comfort from us.
Maggie: Me and Mark falling for each other wasn't planned or what we wanted. He was still in love with Sidney.
Gale: We know that. And so does stubborn ass husband. But he doesn't care.
Maggie: I can tell.

(Gale laughs at her as they hear something outside and quickly run out quickly followed by Mickey.)

Outside of the police station.

(Maggie and Gale run out of the building followed by Mickey who sees someone on the ground.)

Maggie: Oh my god.

Maggie: Oh my god.

(Sidney looks up at them as Maggie sees who she's down there with and sees her with her hands onto his chest.)

Maggie: NO.

(She rushes over to her and helps her with Mark whose sitting there with his hand on his neck.)

Maggie: Baby.

(Mark looks at her and grabs her hand.)

Maggie: What happened?
Sidney: We were out here talking when someone shoved me out of the way and they went for Mark he fought him off but he got him in the neck with his knife.
Maggie: Shit.

(Mark's sitting there looking between his ex and his girlfriend who are doing what they can to stop the bleeding in his neck.)

Maggie: Hey you stay with us.

(Mark nods his head at her as Gale runs over to them followed by Lorna who had turned the corner.)

Lorna: Oh my god. Mark!

(He looks at them as the Paramedics arrive and start working on him.)

Later.

Over at Woodsboro Community Hospital.

(All of Mark's friends are there waiting for news on him. As their sitting there Trevor and the others run in and see them there. Jill seeing Sidney quickly rushes over to her cousin and sits with her along with Kirby getting her to smile at them both.)

Kirby: How is he?
Sidney: He's still in surgery.
Kirby: Okay.

(They sit there thinking and waiting for when Mark comes out of surgery.)

Later that day.

Over at the Police station.

(Dewey's in his office looking over some paper thinking about everything everyone was telling him.)

A few months later.

In Los Angeles,  CA.

At Maggie's house.

In the Livingroom.

(Mark's sitting down on the couch as Maggie walks out of their bedroom and sees Mark sitting there.)

Maggie: Hey honey.

(Mark looks over at her and smiles as he waves at her.)

Maggie: Still having issues talking?

(Mark Puts his fingers up and shows her.)

Maggie: Just a little.

(Mark nods his head at her.)

Maggie: Give it alittle longer.

(Mark smiles at her.)

Maggie: I gotta get to work. I'll see you later okay.

(Mark nods his head at her. He types something out and sends it to her. Maggie grabs out her her phone and looks at the text then she looks at him.)

Maggie: I love you too.

(She kisses him then pulls away from him.)

Maggie: I'll see you tonight.

(Mark nods his head at her as she kisses him again then she pulls away from him.)

Maggie: Text and talk to Sidney.

(Mark laughs at her as she gets up he gets up and walks her out to her car. As they get out there she walks up to it and unlocks it. Then his phone goes off he grabs it out to see who it is. Seeing who it is he shows Maggie.)

Dewey: (Text) Still haven't found the person who attacked you and Sidney. But I found out who it was that messed with Mickey's breaks.

(Maggie looks at him and hugs him getting him to smile at her. Then she pulls away from him.)

Maggie: They'll find them.
Mark: (Note)  I know.

(Maggie smiles at him as a car pulls up and they look over at who it is and Mark looks off getting Maggie to look at them.)

Maggie: It's okay baby.

(Mark smiles at her. Then she waves them over to him. Seeing who it is he smiles at her.)

Mark: (Note) Summers!
Buffy: Hey.

(She walks over to him and hugs him then she pulls away from him.)

Buffy: Who did this?
Maggie: We don't know. They've been looking into who did this.
Buffy: And he still can't speak.
Maggie: No he can't. But he's working on it.
Mark: (Note) She's been great.
Buffy: I'm sure.
Mark: (Note) Out of the bedroom. You smart-ass.

(He shows Buffy and she starts laughing.)

Buffy: Sorry.
Maggie: It's fine. I gotta get to work. So if you can?
Buffy: Not a problem. Willow and Tara are coming so.
Maggie: Okay. I'll text you later baby.

(Mark nods his head at her as she gets into her car and gets ready to go work. As Mark walks up to the house.)

Minutes later.

In the Livingroom.

(Mark's sitting down on the couch watching television watching one of the Stab movies as he's watching it. Someone walks into the house and sees him there.)

Kirby: Hi.

(Mark looks up at her and smiles.)

Mark: Mirby!

(Kirby looks at him and laughs off the shock of him talking.)

Kirby: Holy shit. Hey babe.
Sidney: I heard.

(Mark shuts the Television off then stands up.)

Sidney: Does Maggie know you can talk?
Mark: No. I just started earlier.
Buffy: But he's using it very little.
Mark: Yeah. I was trying to surprise Maggie but.
Sidney: No we get it. How you doing?
Mark: I'm okay.
Sidney: Okay. Now stop using your voice.

(Mark laughs at her as he shows her the text that Dewey had sent him and she reads it.)

Kirby: Well it's nice to know they finally found the person who messed with the breaks on Mickey's car.
Sidney: Yeah.
Buffy: But still nothing on the person who attacked you guys.
Sidney: No. Which in it's self is annoying.

(She nods her head at her as Mark sits down and puts his head down into his hands.)

Buffy: He's gonna be okay.
Sidney: I know that.
Kirby: She can't help but worry about him.
Buffy: I get it. My sister worries about her fiancee alot so
Kirby: You have a sister?
Buffy: I do actually.
Kirby: She as pretty as you?

(Sidney looks at her of asking her is she what now. Kirby looks at her as Mark and Buffy laugh at them.)

Kirby: What?
Mark: Do you know the meaning of fiancee?
Kirby: Yes. Oh. Oh shit. Your sister isn't here is she?
Buffy: No. The only ones I brought with me are Willow and Tara who have yet to show up.

(Mark looks at her and quickly pulls his phone out and calls Maggie not realizing she doesn't know he's talking and she's about to find out.)

Over at the Hall of justice.

In her office.

(Maggie's working on a case as her phone goes off she looks over at it and sees Mark's name come up on the caller ID and looks confused but answers it.)

Maggie: Hello!
Mark: Hey Beautiful.

(Maggie hearing his voice smiles at him.)

Maggie: Hey. You're talking?
Mark: I am. I'm trying not to use it to much.
Maggie: I get it. What's up?
Mark: Willow and Tara haven't arrived yet.
Maggie: What?
Mark: Willow and Tara haven't arrived yet.
Maggie: Shit. Okay. I'm on the way back to the house. I'll call Mickey.
Mark: Okay. I'll see you when you get here.
Maggie: Okay. Hey.
Mark: Yeah.
Maggie: I love you.

(Mark smiles on the other end.)

Mark: I love you too.

(They say their goodbyes and he hangs up as he puts his phone down and lies his head back.)

Sidney: You okay?

(Mark nods his head at her.)

Sidney: Do you have any of your medication here?

(Mark grabs up his phone and tapes it in.)

Mark: (Message)  Maggie's room. In her bathroom.
Sidney: Okay. Babe can you go get them and I'll get him some water.
Kirby: Sure.

(She walks off to go and get his meds. After grabbing Mark's meds from Maggie's room she walks into the Livingroom and hands Mark his meds. He takes them from her and takes the water from Sidney in order to take his meds. Once he's taken them he smiles at them.)

Mark: (Message) Thank you.
Sidney: You're welcome.

(She kisses her ex on the head then pulls away from it as Mark sits there worrying about his friends.)

Minutes later.

(Maggie rushes into the house and over to Buffy.)

Maggie: What happened?
Buffy: We don't know. We've been sitting here waiting for them but. We haven't seen or heard them.
Maggie: Okay. Where's Mark?
Sidney: He's in your room.
Maggie: Okay. Thank you guys for coming.
Sidney: Anytime.

(She smiles at her as she rushes off to her room to go and her boyfriend lying down on the bed with his arm over his eyes.)

Maggie: Hey honey.

(Mark looks over at her and smiles at her.)

Mark: Hey.

(Maggie walks over to him and sits down next to him.)

Maggie: You okay?

(Mark nods his head at her as he sits up and kisses her as their kissing their both smiling in it then she pulls away from him.)

Mark: I love you.
Maggie: I love you too.

(He places his forehead against hers which makes her smile at him.)

Maggie: We're gonna find them.
Mark: I know that.

(She smiles at him and then kisses him again then she pulls away from him.)

Maggie: Okay.
Mark: I love you so much.
Maggie: I love you too.
Mark: When I recover enough I'm gonna show you just how much.

(Maggie smiles at him as she sees what he's doing and she smiles at him.)

Maggie: You have company.
Mark: I know.

(He grabs her and turns them over getting her to laugh at him.)

Maggie: You're bad.
Mark: I know.

(As he reaches the final button on her shirt and pushes it away from her chest and goes lean to kiss on it only to hear someone fall against their front door.)

Maggie: What the hell?
Mark: I don't know.

(He gets off of her and rushes off towards the Livingroom.)

Mark: Buffy!

(She rushes over to the door and opens it only to have Mickey fall into the house and Mark rushes over to him.)

Mark: Mickey!
