Summary
Y/N, known as "Angel," is an experiment from the Bigger Bodies Initiative—traumatized and anxious, forced to wander the facility in search of food and safety. One day, as you crawl through the dark ventilation shafts, you hear the faint sound of crying. Entering what seems to be a prison, you discover a group of prisoners in desperate need of help.

The Smiling Critters are mostly female, and this becomes part of the story later.
