Chapter Text

It was midnight in the city of Brisbane in Queensland, Australia. Around this time in a small house by the bush, a young Red Kelpie was throwing a party with his friends from childhood. The young adults were enjoying each other's company and having fun just being young and not having a care in the world.

Amongst the crowd of drunken 20 year olds sat a lone Blue Heeler who went by the name of Bluey. She was having a conversation with her friend Chloe until a slightly taller border collie approached her.

"Hey babe, do you want me to get you anything? I don't want to feel like a freeloader." He said.

"No I'm fine, thank you Mackenzie." Bluey replied.

As Mackenzie walked off Chloe looked at Bluey with her mouth wide open.

"Babe?! You guys actually got together!? I always knew you 2 loved each other." Chloe said happily.

Bluey blushed at her remarks. The 3 of them have been friends since childhood and Chloe has always tried to get her best friend to confess her feelings for the lovable border collie.

"Yeah we did. You should have seen the look on Coco and Honey's faces when they saw us kissing, you know how much those 2 liked him as well." Bluey replied smugly.

"I bet. Actually, me and Jack got together not to long ago as well. He's the cutest guy ever I swear." Chloe said.

"Aww that's nice, I always pictured him and Rusty getting together but then again him and Indy were always obsessed with each other." Bluey replied.

The night went by and eventually Bluey started getting tired. She went around looking for Mackenzie and found him playing pool with Rusty and Lucky.

"Hey babe can we leave? I'm tired." She asked.

"Oh come on I'm on a winning streak." He protested.

Bluey glared at him with a stern expression, the same one her mother, Chili, would use on her father. It struck fear into the souls of men, and her boyfriend was no exception.

"Damn! you really did inherit your mother's stare." Rusty remarked.

"Ok ok, we'll leave. Are your sister and her girlfriend coming with?" Mackenzie asked.

"I think so." She said.

"Alright, bye guys." Mackenzie said.

"Bye Mackenzie!!" Rusty and Jack said in unison.

As both dogs left the house they soon found both Bingo and Lila outside conversing with Chucky.

"Yo Bingo! We're leaving!" Bluey yelled.

"Oh ok. It was good to see ya Chuck." Bingo said.

"You too, bye Bingo!" He said.

As the 4 dogs got into Mackenzie's car they drove off from Rusty's place to Bluey's home.

"So babe, I was thinking if maybe tomorrow you could hitch me a ride to that job appointment I have. My mom and dad are gone take the family car to go watch the rugby game this Saturday." Bluey asked Mackenzie.

"Sure babe, you know I'm always there for you." He replied.

"I love you", she said planting a small peck on his cheek.

"I swear you 2 are always so lovey dovey it's almost cringey." Lila snickered.

"Shut up” Mackenzie replied silently chuckling.

"Hey guys? Can i tell you something?" Bingo asked.

"Sure sis what's wrong?" Bluey said.

"Well lately something weird has been going on around town. So Chucky one day told me that while he was taking out the trash he heard...something in his backyard. Eventually, he checked out the place where the noice was coming from and saw what he could only describe as some sort of "hairless ape" in a red cap and striped T-shirt."

"A hairless ape? Really babe?" Lila said unconvinced.

"I know how it sounds but he seemed genuinely so shaken up about it, and besides Chucky's not the type to lie."

"I actually recall hearing something about that on the news but I sort of shrugged off. The news tend to exaggerate stuff like that ya know. Besides, don't you think it was just some kid in a costume playing a prank?" Mackenzie said.

"Maybe, I dunno the whole thing DOES have 'prank' written all over it." Bingo admitted.

Eventually, the 4 came across a traffic jam which would last nearly 2 hours. Impatient Mackenzie decided to take a shortcut he knew.

"Screw this, I'm taking the shortcut."

"Babe, don't tell you mean THAT one." Bluey begged.

"Yes. THAT one."

Mackenzie took a left turn to a highway that would lead them home in under 40 minutes. The highway was near the creek and was secluded from the general lane, it was dark and nobody was around for miles but to the border collie it was better than waiting in traffic.

"Babe you know I hate this place it gives me the creeps." Bluey said gripping Mackenzie's paw.

"Don't worry, we'll be there soon. Just hold my paw." He reassured.

Since there was no one else on the road he sped up, quickly consuming the gasoline. Bingo and Lila started freaking out over the fact that there were no gas stations for miles.

"Mackenzie what about the gasoline, at the point we are now there won’t be any gas stations for miles!" Lila said.

"I always bring a gallon of gasoline with me, it's in the back." He replied.

"You know the view is actually pretty nice. The night sky is-

"OH MY GOD LOOK OUT!!!!" Lila yelled.

Mackenzie's head darted towards the road, startled by Lila's sudden yell. On the road he saw a figure standing right in the way of the car. He tried to steer away but couldn't in time to avoid hitting it. As everyone in the car screamed the figure raised its hand and...

BOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everything went black, and Mackenzie felt as though his very life flashed before his eyes. Eventually, he began to open his eyes, ears ringing. Once he fully adjusted to his surroundings he saw that he was on the road next to the burning car. Surprisingly he wasn't injured at all and to his right he saw Bluey and Bingo lying on the ground seemingly unconscious. He crawled over to them shaking them.

"B-Bluey!? Bingo?! Can you hear me?! Please wake up!!"

All of a sudden Bluey began to open her eyes.

"(Groan) What happened" She said.

"Oh thank god. Babe are you okay are you hurt?" Mackenzie asked.

"No I-I'm fine"

"(Groan) Bluey? Mackenzie?" Bingo got up also miraculously unharmed.

"What happened? Hey where's Lila!?" Bingo asked.

The 3 dogs looked around the road and saw Lila lying on the ground also unconscious, but she wasn't alone.

On top of her was the figure that was on the road placing his hand on Lila's forehead.

"HEY GET THE HELL AWAY FROM HER!!!" Bingo yelled.

The figure surprised stopped what it was doing and got up and slowly turned its head. When it's face was visible, the 3 dogs were shocked by its appearance. It was about 2 whole feet taller than them, it was bipedal like them, but most damming of all, it wore a red baseball cap, a blue and yellow striped T-shirt, and resembled the hairless ape that Chucky had described. It looked at them with an expression of utter shock and confusion on its face as it backed away from Lila who began to awake.

"G-Guys? What are you looking at?" Lila asked as she woke up.

She turned around and saw the figure and screamed running towards the 3 dogs.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU ??!!!!!" Lila yelled.

"It's, it's the creature Chucky saw, I-It must be." Bingo said.

The figure began to walk towards them, slowly and cautiously, with an apprehensive look on its face.

"STAY AWAY FROM US" Bluey yelled.

The figure recoiled from Bluey's yell, when all of a sudden, headlights from behind it began approaching. And then in an instant it began to seemingly dematerialize from view, like a ghost, until it was nowhere to be seen as the car approached the 4 dogs.

"I-it vanished!!" Lila said, surprised by what she just witnessed.

As the car approached, the door opened and out came Rusty, Jack, and Chucky.

"Rusty!!??" Bluey said.

"Holy crap! What happened to you guys?! What was that thing just now that disappeared?!" Rusty asked.

"I-I don't even know where to begin. How did you guys find us in the first place?" Mackenzie said.

"We were on our way to buy more drinks for the party when we saw a huge smoke cloud in the distance and we decided to check it out." Jack said.

"Chucky! The thing that vanished I-it looked just like the thing you told me about the other day!" Bingo said.

"Are you serious!? Did it look exactly like what I described?!” He asked.

"Yeah! It did!" Bingo confirmed.

“What are you talking about!?" Rusty asked.

"Look WHATEVER this thing is, it's real and if it managed to blow up Kenzie's car it must be dangerous." Bluey said.

"Can you guys give us a ride home?" Mackenzie asked.

"Yeah sure, but what will your parents say about your car?" Rusty asked.

"Oh they'll be pissed but I don't care I just want to go home."

As the 4 dogs got into the Red Kelpie's pickup truck they left the highway dumbfounded by what they just experienced.

A day after the encounter with the creature on the road, Bluey and Bingo were trying to comprehend what and most importantly WHERE that thing came from.

"I can't believe that Chucky was right." Bluey said.

"I'm more concerned with the fact that that thing managed to blow up Mackenzie's car. This "hairless ape" or whatever it is, one thing's for sure. It's dangerous." Bingo said.

"True but did you see the expression it had on its face? It almost looked....scared." Bluey said.

Just then Bluey's phone rang, it was Mackenzie.

"Yeah babe?" She asked picking up her phone.

"Blue, I was wondering if maybe you'd like to come with me to your favorite restaurant? Think of it as my way of making you forget about the...thing... that happened yesterday. Bingo can come too if you'd like =]" He asked over the phone.

"Sure babe I'd love that"

"Ok see ya there" *Beep*

Later that day at around 2:00 PM Bluey, Bingo and Lila all arrived at the restaurant. Inside they met Mackenzie who already had a table ready for them.

"Hey girls how are y'all doing" he asked.

"Surprisingly okay, even after what happened yesterday" Bluey said.

"Say Mackenzie, did your parents find out about the car?" Lila asked.

"Yeah. Long story short, I'm gonna have to pay for the repairs as punishment."

"Did you by any chance talk to them about.... What we saw?" Lila asked.

"Oh yeah they didn't believe me, what did you expect?"

"Why would they? It's all so... improbable. I almost kind off just want to forget that it happened." Bluey interjected.

Mackenzie grabbed her hand trying to reassure her that everything was gonna be ok.

"Come on babe let's just enjoy our company." Mackenzie said.

Afterwards they placed their order and Bluey's thoughts about the whole thing seemed to dissipate at once.

After nearly an hour the 4 dogs finished eating and left the restaurant.

"Hey so I was wondering if we should go shopping at the mall, ya know just to pass the time?" Bingo suggested.

"Sure" the 3 of them said in unison.

"Alright the lets g-HEY!!!"

Almost abruptly, a mugger took Bingo's purse and sped off.

"HEY THAT'S MY SISTER'S!!" Bluey yelled.

"LETS GO AFTER HIM!!!" Lila said.

The 4 dogs ran after the mugger determined to get what was theirs back. They ran for nearly 4 minutes, panting and getting tired by the minute. Eventually, they began to catch up to the mugger and where about to catch him until Bingo tripped and landed on her arm. She laid on the ground recovering from the impact, allowing the mugger to vanish from thin sight.

"Ow ow ow. My arm!!" Bingo said grabbing her arm in pain.

"He's getting away!!" Bluey yelled.

"Forget about him, he's not worth the trouble, Bingo's hurt." Mackenzie said.

"You 2 help her, I'll continue to chase after him!!" Bluey said.

The 2 dogs helped the red Heeler get on her feet. Upon further examination, they were glad to know that Bingo hadn't broken her arm.

"Goddamn it!! I had my wallet in there!!" Bingo exclaimed in frustration.

"Don't worry about it babe, I'll buy you a new one and give you money." Lila assured Bingo.

As Mackenzie and Lila helped the red heeler up, Bluey began to catch up to the mugger. As she was the most physically fit of the 4 she didn't get tired as easily and she could tell that his movements were slowing down and as he turned down an alleyway that was a dead end, Bluey tackled him to the ground.

"Nobody messes with my sister, MATE." Bluey said as she reclaimed her sister's purse.

Bluey pulled out her phone and rang Mackenzie.

"Hey Kenzie! I got the purse back." Bluey said into the phone.

"That's great! Where are you?" Kenzie said over the phone.

"I'm by Main Street near the Hungry Jacks. I'll be... by....the....." Bluey's voice trailed off as her sight caught something or rather...someONE.

"Bluey? Babe? What's wrong?" Kenzie asked over the phone.

"Get here fast there's someone that owes you an an apology here." Bluey said.

"Wait, wha-" Kenzie said before Bluey hung up the phone.

In her line of sight, watching the news displayed on the screens of the TV store, was the hairless ape that was responsible for blowing up her boyfriend's car.

"Oi!! You there in the red cap!" Bluey yelled.

As soon as she said that the hairless ape turned around, flinching at her words. It recognized her almost immediately and he started to quiver as she walked over to its location.

"Remember me? Yeah I'm the one you nearly killed yesterday at the highway. But not only did you nearly kill us you also destroyed my boyfriend's car. And I'm gonna make you pay."

"Bluey!! We're here!" Mackenzie yelled.

"Wait is...is that the..." Bingo said before trailing off.

"Yeah it's the creep from last night. I found him here too watching the news." Bluey said.

"You know I expected it to look lot more terrifying than it actually is. Nobody's looking, why don't we teach it a lesson?" Lila said, clenching her fists.

"Babe, come on.” Bingo said apprehensively.

"That's not necessary, look it's not doing anything and we got what we came for let's ju-”

"No! I'm not gonna let what it did go unpunished! He destroyed your car Kenzie and it almost killed us!!" Bluey said.

"I-I-I don't.." the hairless ape said.

The 4 dogs looked at it as it said those words, shocked by the fact that it could speak.

"Oh wow, So you CAN talk huh? Then I guess you'd understand that we are pretty pissed off at you for what you did. I guess we'll have to teach you a lesson." Bluey said.

"P-please... I don't know where I am, I don't want to fight yo-“ In a flash Bluey punched the hairless ape square on its mouth. Even though it towered over her, it fell to her punch easily and landed on the ground in pain.

"Bluey!! What the hell!" Mackenzie yelled frantically.

"Let's kick its ass." Lila said.

Bluey and Lila took advantage of the downed creature on the ground and landed blow after blow on the downed ape. Every time it tried to get up they kicked it in the stomach causing it to recoil in pain.

"GUYS STOP IT THIS WONT SOLVE ANYTHING!!" Bingo yelled desperately.

"BLUEY THAT'S ENOUGH!!" Mackenzie said as he tried to pry his girlfriend away from the battered ape on the ground but to no avail.

After a solid 2 minutes of pummeling, the ape laid there with its face swollen, teeth knocked out, and clutching its battered stomach, all while struggling to breathe. But the Maltese and Blue Heeler weren't yet done.

Lila went for one more punch to the head. However, just before her fist made contact with the ape's head, her hand stopped in place. No matter what she did she couldn't move it.

"W-what the hell?!" Lila said confused.

She looked down at the ape who looked at her with an expression of anger on its face. Then in an instant her arm was twisted backwards with so much force that it broke it.

“AHHHHHHHH!!!! MY ARM!!!” Lila yelled.

“LILA!!” Bingo yelled as she saw her girlfriend’s arm being horribly mangled seemingly by nothing.

Seconds later, she was sent flying seemingly by an invisible force on to the pavement, landing on her back.

"Lila!!" The 3 remaining dogs yelled rushing over to the Maltese.

"Are you ok?! How did you get blown away like that?! Wait." Bingo said.

The four looked over at the hairless ape now effortlessly standing up even after the pummeling they inflicted on it. Then, they stared in shock as it's once swollen face...was cured in an instant, showing an expression of anger and sadness. Then just like last night, it dematerialized and vanished from sight.

"Shit! it disappeared again!!" As soon Bluey said that she felt the ground shake. She looked up to see that the Hungry Jacks logo was about to fall on the four of them and crush them.

"Everybody watch out!!" Mackenzie yelled before moving out of the falling logo's way.

The four dogs ran to a nearby alleyway where they collected their breaths after being nearly crushed. Eventually, Mackenzie turned to Bluey and began to chastise her for what she just did.

"Bluey!! Why the hell did you go and do that?! All you did was give that thing a reason to almost kill us!! It said it didn't want to fight us! Why couldn't you just leave it alone!?" He said.

Bluey began to tear up at what her boyfriend just said, but she knew he was right.

“I'm sorry, Kenzie. I just I was just angry about what happened yesterday. You lost your car and we almost died! I just wanted to make sure that thing got what it deserved." Bluey said tearfully.

Mackenzie sighed and pulled her into a hug before kissing her head.

"I'm sorry for yelling Blue. I just want you to know that I don't care about the car, I just don't want you to put yourself in dangerous situations ok? I love you." He said.

"I love you too Kenzie ❤️" Bluey said.

"Sorry to interrupt but we should get Lila to a hospital. She’s in pain.” Bingo said.

“Yeah. You’re right let’s get out of here.” Mackenzie said.

Meanwhile back in Bluey's neighborhood....

"I guess she's not home, she must be at Mackenzie's." Chili said as she ringed the house's doorbell.

"Don't worry I prepare for these kinds of situations. I keep a spare key in the backyard doormat." Bandit said.

They made their way to the backyard on to the doormat and sure enough, there was a key under the doormat.

"See babe? I always plan ahead." Bandit said playfully.

Chili sighed and rolled her eyes while chuckling.

*tink!!!*

"Did you here that?!" Chili asked.

"Yeah I did. I think it came from the tool shed." Bandit said.

The 2 dogs made their way towards the tool shed.

"Oi! Whoever's there show yourself!!" Bandit yelled.

Then from behind the tool shed, slowly coming out and revealing itself, was the hairless ape.

"WHAT IS THAT?!" Chili yelled.

“GET BEHIND ME!!” Bandit yelled.

"P-PLEASE!!! Don't run away. I won't hurt you.” It said desperately.

"Yeah sure you won't mate." Bandit said unconvinced.

"No seriously!! Everyone I try to talk thinks I'm a monster. But I just want to get back home." The ape said beginning to cry.

Chili looked at the ape crying, and felt a sense of sympathy for the creature despite not knowing who or what it was.

"Bandit, maybe its telling the truth. We'll listen to you. But first tell us who and most importantly, WHAT you are?" Chili asked.

"My name is Ness. Ness Halloway, and I'm a human boy."

"Alright, "Ness" why are you here and what exactly is a human?" Bandit asked.

Jeez how am I gonna explain this? Ness thought. “Well a human is a type of great ape and I come from the planet Earth." Ness said.

"Honey, but this IS Earth." Chili said.

"Trust me it's a long story but in short I'm stuck here, I'm cold and I've been living in the creek for almost a week!" He said.

Upon hearing what he just said Chili covered her mouth, not even being able to fathom how awful living in the creek must have been.

"Mate, how old are you?" Bandit asked.

"Thirteen…" Ness said.

"Oh my god, you poor thing." Chili said feeling empathy for his predicament.

"I've been trying to ask for help but everyone is afraid of me. I just want to go home but I can't do it without my friends but they disappeared as soon as we arrived here. I'm all alone." Ness said on the verge of tears.

Chili looked at Bandit for a couple of seconds and they knew just what to do.

"Well Ness darling, if you want to we have a spare room that we don't really use anymore. If you'd like you can stay there. We have a comfortable bed and you can take a shower if you like." Chili suggested.

"R-Really! You 2 would do that for me." He said gratefully.

"Sure and you can stay as long as you want. Right Bandit?" Chili said while looking at her husband.

"Ehhhh..maybe." He said.

At that point Chili gave her husband "The Stare" a glare that inflicted fear on all the men in her life especially Bandit.

"Ok! Ok! Just promise us we can trust you Ness." Bandit said.

"Y-yeah I promise." Ness assured them.

The 2 dogs led Ness to the spare room and offered to clean his clothes while giving him a clean pair of Bandits clothes that he no longer used.

"Sorry this is all we have. You are pretty tall after all my dear." Chili said.

"It's perfect don't worry." Ness said.

Later that night, Ness was about to go to sleep right before Chili and Bandit entered the room to wish him good night.

"Sleep well darling, if there's anything else you need feel free to ask." Chili said.

"Sure thank you both, sincerely." He said.

As the 2 dogs left the room, Ness turned on the lamp on the bedside drawer and pulled out a picture with him and his 3 friends: Paula, Jeff, and Poo. The picture brought him a sense of sadness as it reminded him of how simple life was before they got into this predicament.

"Hang in there guys, wherever you are. I promise I'll find all of you and then we'll go back home. Together."

He looked up at the moon through the window and smiled, conformed by the fact that he was taken in by a good pair of dogs who were the first ones to listen to him.

"But it looks like I'm gonna be here for a while."

As Ness fell asleep on the bed the Heelers so generously prepared for him, Bandit and Chili stood outside the room discussing what to do with him.

“Babe, are you sure this is a good idea? I mean we just found him in our backyard TODAY and you’re letting him stay? He isn’t even one of us!” Bandit told Chili.

“I know Bandit, I know he’s not one of us and we did just find him today. But he hasn’t done anything to justify us being afraid of him. Besides, did you see how he looked? His clothes and body were filthy, he looked horribly malnourished and he said he was living in the woods for nearly a whole WEEK. Not to mention he’s only a child, what kind of person would I be if I essentially just blew him off and told him to leave?” Chili explained to her husband.

BOOOOOMMMMMM!!!!!!!

The sound was deafening, the house shook akin to a magnitude 7 earthquake and the 2 dogs were stiffened by the explosion.

“W-What the hell was that!?” Bandit said, still shaken.

The 2 dogs ran outside to their house’s backyard. Once there, they could see from a distance, the once beaten creek now on fire.

“Oh my god!” Chili exclaimed, covering her mouth.

Bandit went over to comfort his wife who was visibly terrified by the scene.

“Are you two seeing this?!” Wendy, their next door neighbor, told them over the fence.

“Yeah! Are we getting bombed?!” Bandit said.

“I sure hope not, darling! We don’t have any shelters!” Wendy said.

“Wait….WHAT IS THAT!” Chili said pointing at something in the sky.

The 3 dogs looked up at the sky where a most frightening sight met their eyes.

A colossal blimp soared the night sky, it was unlike anything they have ever seen before. As the ship passed by, the 3 dogs saw what appeared to be small orbs being deployed from the vessel down into the city.

“What the hell is happening to the city?!” Bandit asked stressed out.

“I don’t know, but I wonder if Ness and this are related in any way?” Chili told Bandit.

“Ness? Who’s Ness!?” Wendy asked.

Chili looked over at Bandit, the sudden realization that she said that out loud getting to her.

“Uhhh…nobody!” Bandit told her.

5 minutes earlier at the hospital…

“There, her arm should heal in about 2 months. Until then, just make sure she doesn’t put a lot of pressure on it. I also have prescribed you some pain killers” The doctor told Bingo.

“Alright thank you so much doctor, let’s go babe” Bingo told Lila.

The 2 dogs met with Bluey and Mackenzie outside.

“Is Lila gonna be ok? Her arm looks horribly fucked up” Mackenzie said.

“Yeah she’ll be fine. It’s gonna take about 2 months to heal though, she also had pain killers assigned to her” Bingo explained.

“I still don’t know how this happened. It just broke seemingly without cause” Bluey said.

“I know that bastard did this to me. He managed to blow up your car Mackenzie, he definitely broke my arm, I just know it” Lila said.

Bingo then noticed something out the corner of her eye and looked out the window. She stood there, frozen in place at what was outside.

“Guys, what is that?!” Bingo asked the rest.

The 3 other dogs turned over to look at what Bingo was looking at. The sight put them in a similar state to what Bingo was in.

“W-What the hell is that thing?! A s-ship!?” Bluey asked, feeling uneasy.

“I’ve never seen anything like this before. It looks like a giant blimp” Mackenzie said.

“Wait, did you see that? Oh my god is that a bomb?!! Watch out!!” Lila yelled.

BOOOOOOMMMMM!!!!!!!!!

As the bomb landed, the shock wave reached the building and shattered the windows, sending glass shards all over the place. Mackenzie got a glass shard on his arm and pulled it off, blood then began to leak out of his wound.

“Shit I’m bleeding!” Mackenzie said.

“Are you ok Kenzie? I think I have a band-aid somewhere” Bluey said.

“Don’t worry I can manage, let's get the hell outta here!”

The 4 dogs got out of the building and got into Bluey’s car. As they drove out they could see the creek on fire and the massive blimp like ship, disappearing into the night.

“What the hell is happening?! Is this a bombing?!” Bingo asked, hyperventilating.

“I don’t know but let’s go to my house, we can hide in the basement” Mackenzie said.

At that moment Mackenzie realized something major. The realization sent a shiver down his spine.

Bluey noticed Mackenzie’s shaken up state and placed her paw on his lap.

“What’s wrong babe?” Bluey asked worriedly.

“Rusty and Indy were there, he told me they were going out on a date and wouldn’t come back until an hour from now” he said.

A moment of silence passed in the car as Mackenzie said that.

Then in an instant he made a hard left turn and sped off into the burning creek.

“Mackenzie why the hell are you going towards it!?” Bluey asked in a frantic manner.

“I’m not gonna just leave them there!!” Mackenzie said.

“You’re insane, you're gonna get us all killed!! Lila is injured!!” Bingo yelled.

“Exactly!! That’s why I’m going alone!” Mackenzie said.

“NO!! I’m not gonna let you do that Mackenzie, you’re gonna get yourself killed!!” Bluey yelled, clutching his arm

“He’s my friend Bluey, I’m not gonna leave him out there!”

It wasn’t long until they reached the burning creek. The once vibrant greens of the creek were now covered by a blazing inferno. Mackenzie parked the car not far from the creek and turned to Bluey.

“Listen to me. If I’m not back in 5 minutes, drive to my house and stay there, ok?” Mackenzie said.

“Are you fucking insane!!? I’m not gonna let you go inside there, you're gonna die!!!” Bluey yelled to him as she began to cry.

Mackenzie kissed her before hugging her tightly.

“I love you so much Bluey, but I can’t let you die because of me. Seriously, just stay in the car and if I’m not back in FIVE minutes, then PLEASE get to my house.”

Mackenzie let go of Bluey and ran off into the creek, leaving a distraught Bluey behind screaming his name.

He teared up hearing Bluey’s agonizing screams, begging him to come back. Although it pained him, he wasn’t gonna let one of his best friends die.

The trek was unsurprisingly difficult. The flames surrounding him made him sweat profusely, the smoke made him cough atrociously, and worst of all the creek was rapidly collapsing in on itself.

“Rusty!!!!! Indy!!!!!” Mackenzie yelled into the burning inferno.

His call was seemingly absorbed by the flames, unable to be heard.

All hope seemed lost.

“Hey!!! Who’s there?!! We need help!!” A faint voice could be heard from a mile away and Mackenzie knew exactly who it was.

“Rusty!!! I’m coming!!!!” He yelled trying to get the attention of the voice.

Second after second he yelled even louder trying to alert Rusty. Then after what felt like minutes, he saw him.

“Rusty!!!! Can you hear me!!!??” Mackenzie yelled.

“M-Mackenzie?! Is that you?!!” Rusty said as he ran towards Mackenzie, bringing Indy with him.

“Holy shit!! Are you 2 alright?!!” Mackenzie said.

“Of course not!! We were only a MILE away from where the bomb fell, I’m surprised we are still alive!!” Indy said.

“Yeah, I would like to get outta here too. Can you help us, Mackenzie?” Rusty said.

“Yeah, my car is parked not too far away. Let’s go”

The 3 dogs began making their way back to the car. The trek was now merely a nuisance as Mackenzie had memorized it. The flames weren’t any close to being extinguished.

Eventually, they reached an area that was wide and allowed for more movement. Mackenzie recognized and knew this meant they were getting closer to the car.

“Ok guys it’s just up ahead!” Mackenzie said.

“W-Wait, what’s that over there?” Indy said, pointing at what she saw.

Mackenzie and Rusty turned over to see what Indy was pointing at. In front of them were 2 figures, standing roughly 6 feet tall, each wielding massive rifles that looked unlike anything they had ever seen, and weirdest of all, they donned pink military outfits and masks that resembled the likeness of a pig.

“Who the hell are those 2?! They kinda look like stormtroopers.” Rusty said quietly.

(Could they have something to do with that kid?) Mackenzie thought as he saw the 2 figures.

*SQUEAL!!!*

The sound of a pig squeal came from behind them and the 3 turned around, startled, only to be met with a third soldier aiming his rifle at them. The 3 fell to the ground and attempted to run, only to be met with the other 2 soldiers, guns at the ready waiting for them.

“Where did you come from!!” The soldier asked in an intimidating voice while aiming his gun at them.

“W-W-We just want t-to go home. Please just let us go, w-we won’t tell anyone about this.” Mackenzie begged.

“Should we take them into questioning? They already saw us.” One of the soldiers said.

“No!! Please, just let us go!! Nobody will believe us If we say anything about this anyway!!” Rusty pleaded.

“That’s not for us to decide. Hey, contact the boss, tell him we have these 3 cornered.” The soldier signaled his partner.

One of the soldiers pulled out a communicator and called the Captain.

“Captain, we found these 3 hooligans in the creek, what should we do with them?” He spoke into the communicator.

“Mackenzie, what the fuck do we do?!” Rusty said in a hushed voice.

Eventually, the soldier finished talking with the person on the other side on the call, put the communicator away, and cocked his rifle.

“The Captain gave us an order: Terminate Them.”

“No!!! Please!!” Indy yelled.

The soldiers each cocked their rifles and aimed them at the 3 dogs. The 3 of them braced for their imminent doom, praying it would be quick.

“PK THUNDER!!!!”

SPAAAARKKK!!!

As the voice echoed, massive volts of lightning struck down the 3 soldiers. The dogs opened their eyes to see the 3 of them, down on the ground.

“What the hell was that??!!” Rusty said, shocked and appalled.

“Wait…look!!” Indy said as she motioned the other 2 to look.

The 3 dogs observed as the person that saved them came floating down to meet. It was another human, he looked to be about 15 years old and had perfect ebony skin, he donned a white gi and his hair was tied up into a braid that reached his waistline. Once he reached the ground he walked over to them.

“Are you 3 ok? Are you injured?” He asked them.

“What the hell are you?!!” Indy asked, backing away.

“Listen, how about I explain this in a much safer environment?” He said.

“PK TELEPORT!!”

The 3 dog’s vision went black for a split second before returning to normal. They were shocked, just a second ago they were surrounded by flames in every direction, now they were right outside Mackenzie’s house.

“The hell?! How did we get here so fast?” Mackenzie asked.

“I teleported all of you out of that creek, I take it this is your house?” The boy asked.

“How did you know?” Mackenzie asked.

“That’s not important right now, I suggest you stay here for a while, those soldiers you saw are growing in numbers.” He said.

“Speaking of which, I guess I should introduce myself to you 3. I am Prince Poo of Dalaam, but you can just call me Poo. In case you’re wondering what I am, I’m a human, a type of great ape. To put it simply, I arrived here through an inter dimensional traveling machine and have gotten lost in this city.” Poo explained.

“Inter dimensional travel? Human? What the hell are you on about?!” Indy asked, still trying to comprehend the information she just received.

“I know it’s a lot to take in, but all you need to know is that I mean no harm. I just want to get out of here.” Poo said.

“Well I guess we owe you one, thanks Poo. I just can’t believe there’s 2 of you ‘humans’ here.” Mackenzie said.

Poo arched his eyebrows in surprise and asked, “What do you mean 2 of us? Did you find one of my friends?!! I arrived with them here, but upon our arrival the machine teleported us to different locations. But if you saw a human, then that means they could be alive! Tell me everything you know about the person you saw.” Poo asked.

“Well, 2 days ago me, my girlfriend, her sister and her girlfriend were driving down this highway when all of a sudden this..kid..just appeared in the middle of the road. He was about your height and was wearing a blue and yellow striped shirt and a red baseball cap” Mackenzie said.

“Ness!! The kid you found, his name is Ness!!”

Then the door to Mackenzie’s house opened, revealing Bluey, Bingo and Lila.

“Mackenzie!!!” Bluey yelled as she rushed over to hug her boyfriend.

“I thought you died in there!!! Don’t ever do something stupid like that ever again, you hear me!!??” Bluey yelled through her tears.

Mackenzie hugged her back before apologizing, “I’m sorry Blue, I promise I’ll never worry you like that again.”

“How did you even make it out?!” Bingo asked.

“Try asking him.” Indy said as she pointed at Poo.

Bluey, Bingo and Lila stared at Poo with expressions of utter disbelief.

“There’s another one?!” Lila asked.

“Yeah, apparently the one you guys saw the other night was his friend.” Rusty said.

“I assure you all, I mean no harm. I have been separated from my friends ever since we arrived here.” Poo explained.

“Yeah I call bullshit on you being ‘harmless’. Your little friend did this to me!” Lila said pointing at her broken arm.

“Oh my! Here let me take a look at tha-” Lila quickly pulled back. “Back off!!” She barked.

“Wait! Lila, give him a chance. If it wasn’t for him we would have died in the fire.” Mackenzie said.

“No! I’m not gonna risk it!” Lila stood her ground.

“I assure you, Ness would NEVER do something like this unless he’s provoked or threatened. Did you by any chance…threaten him?” Poo asked.

Bluey and Lila’s faces turned into one of embarrassment.

“I guess ‘threaten’ is a…bit of an understatement.” Lila said.

“We..did something really stupid. I just acted very…recklessly and we…beat him up. I wanted to teach him a lesson for what he did to Mackenzie’s car.” Bluey confessed.

“Jeez, Bluey.” Indy said.

Poo’s expression turned into one of anger. But he suppressed his rage and instead offered to heal Lila’s arm.

“Just so you know, I’m not happy about you assaulting my friend. But for now, let’s get your arm fixed.” Poo said.

“How are you gonna fix it? Look it’s practically mangled.” Rusty said.

“Just leave it to me”

Poo held Lila’s arm and channeled his energy into her. Not long after, Lila’s arm began to straighten seemingly by itself, until it looked practically new.

“There, it should be completely healed now.” Poo said.

Lila stared at her arm for a bit, completely mesmerized by what she just witnessed. Eventually, she broke from her gaze and moved her arm effortlessly.

“I-I-It worked!!” Bingo said.

Lila was so grateful for what Poo did despite her actions towards his friend. She pulled him into a hug, her head reaching his chest.

“Thank you, thank you so much!” Lila said.

“You’re very much welcome,” Poo said tenderly.

“Now that that’s taken care off, I want you all to tell me everything you know about Ness’ whereabouts.”

The day after at the Heeler house….

“I think we’re safe now, whatever that thing was, it's gone,” Bandit said.

“I’m just glad they didn’t bomb our area. Wait….oh my god I can’t believe I forgot!! What about Ness?!” Chili said worried.

Bandit and Chili ran to the guest bedroom, cursing under their breath that they forgot about Ness during the ordeal.

“Ness!! Ness?” Chili said as she opened the door. But there was nobody on the bed.

“See!? I told you, he ran off!! He just used us to get some new clothes and then just dipped!!” Bandit said, pissed off.

“Bandit stop it!! We shouldn’t have left him alone when the bombings began!! He’s probably somewhere in the house terrified!!” Chili replied.

Then, Chili heard faint crying coming from the closet.

The 2 walked over to the closet and slowly opened it, revealing Ness, clutching a pillow and crying profusely.

“Oh my god..are you alright dear?” Chili asked, tearing up herself.

“WHAT WAS THAT?!! I heard loud noises coming from outside and I got scared!! I tried to find you guys but I didn’t know where you were!! I looked out through a window and saw some kind of massive ship in the sky!! Then the explosions happened and I-I-I……I JUST WANT MY MOM!!!” Ness cried out, breaking into tears.

Chili stood there, covering her mouth as tears rained down her face.

(He has a mother?! And he hasn’t seen her in who knows how long!! This poor child….) Chili thought to herself, feeling pity for the boy.

She knelt down to his level and embraced him.

“I’m sorry we worried so much dear we won’t ever do it again! I promise that for as long as you remain here, me and Bandit will look after you….right Bandit?” Chili said glaring at her husband with tear filled eyes.

Bandit looked at them, an expression of genuine concern on his face. He knelt down and embraced the both of them.

“I’m sorry I accused you of using us for our stuff mate, I really am. You can stay as long as you want here, it’s only right,” Bandit said, tearing up himself.

Ness, upon hearing their heartfelt words, broke down into tears, happy that for once in all his time in this strange new world, he found people who finally weren’t afraid of him.

“T-Thank you guys….” He said, clinging on to them.

Later, after everything had died down, Chili realized something.

“Oh my you must not have had breakfast in a while! Ness, what would you like? I’ll make anything you want dear”

“It’s ok, I d-don’t wanna bother you,” Ness replied.

“I insist honey, you look really thin, and besides, it’s the least we can do” Chili said, holding his hand.

“Well…I know this might sound weird as it’s not something people usually eat for breakfast but, do you by any chance have Steak?”

“Sure, I’ll have it ready in a bit, in the meantime why don’t you sit down in the living room and watch TV if you want?” She suggested, giving him a tender smile.

As Ness waited in the living room he laid eyes on the TV. It was much bigger than the one from his world and he had trouble finding the on switch.

“Uh Chilli! Where is the ON button?” He asked.

Chilli walked over to the living room, only to see Ness roaming the TV for an ON button.

“Uh, sweetie? Our TV doesn’t have an ON button, we use the remote to turn it on. It’s over there on the table” She said.

“Oh y-yeah, I’m s-sorry,'' Ness replied, embarrassed.

After 6 minutes, Chili had finished cooking and called Ness and Bandit to the kitchen.

“Bandit!!! Ness!! Breakfast is ready!”

“I was actually craving some Steak right now, thanks for choosing it mate” Bandit said.

“Oh n-no problem, it looks delicious by the way Chili,” Ness said.

“Aww thank you” She said, smiling.

As the 3 ate, Ness seemed to finally be at ease. His steak tasted immaculate, marinated with salt and pepper and even a bit of garlic…..just like his mom used to make them.

“So Ness, I meant to ask you about…..hey what’s wrong?! Are you crying?” Chili asked, a hint of concern in her voice.

“I’m s-sorry it’s just…the way this steak tastes…reminds me of how my mom used to make them” He said, with his voice strained and tears running down his face.

“Oh sweetie, I’m sorry, I didn’t know” Chili said, placing her paw on his shoulder.

“It’s ok…it’s not your fault. Look, if I’m going to stay here, then you deserve a through explanation of what I am and where I came from. As you probably know, I’m not from here, I’m not a dog, I’m taller than you all, and I just appeared out of nowhere. Truth be told, I’m not from your universe, period. I come from Earth, but a different version of it, in a different universe”

“Really?” Bandit asked.

“Yeah. My version of Earth is similar to yours, the continents are the same, named the same, and dogs also exist over there. The only difference, is that we humans are the dominant species, while dogs are, to most of us, pets”

“Pets?” Chili asked.

“You guys don’t have pets?” Ness asked.

“Nah mate, we don’t. What are they?” Bandit asked.

“They’re animals that we humans keep for companionship, to some they’re considered family members. I have a dog myself, his name is Runt”

“Oh really, did you guys adopt him? What language does he speak?” Chili asked.

“Our dogs don’t speak like you do, they simply bark and walk on all fours”

“Really? That kind of reminds me of my niece, Socks. She used to act the exact same way when she was a baby” Bandit said.

“Any other differences mate?”

“Actually now that you two mention it, how old are you guys?” Ness asked.

“I’m 45, Bandit as well. Why?” Chili said.

“Oh…well, our dogs unfortunately don’t live as long. Most are lucky to make it to 15. By the time they’re 2, most are already considered adults. It’s a tough thing for us to know that we will outlive them. My dog, King, he’s already 14 years old, I’ve known him my whole life, I dread the day when I have to say goodbye to him” Ness said.

“Oh my.. barely 15?! I can’t even imagine living such a short life!” Chili remarked.

“It is something I constantly think about, but it’s an inevitable part of life. Anyways, as to how I got here….that’s something that’s gonna be hard to explain. I’ll start with the basics. As I mentioned yesterday, I came here with my friends. But one in particular is the reason we are here, his name is Jeff Andonuts”

“Andonuts?!” Bandit snickered.

“Bandit!!” Chili barked.

“Uh sorry, continue..” He said, still stunned by her wife’s intimidating voice.

“It’s alright, I also think his surname is funny. Anywho, Jeff’s dad, Dr. Andonuts is too put it simply…a genius. The man managed to invent many things that would seem downright impossible, like a machine that heals all wounds and even resurrects the dead, turning a man into a hybrid between a dungeon and a man, and even a machine that can turn boiled eggs back into raw eggs. Yeah, I don’t know where he was going with that one. But basically, you give him an eccentric, completely improbable idea, and he’ll make it a reality. That’s what led to the creation of the “Phase Distorter”.

“Phase Distorter? What on Earth is that?” Bandit asked.

“That’s the machine that brought me here. The Phase Distorter is a machine that can travel through time and space, its Dr. Andonuts’s greatest technological achievement. It was originally only capable of sending innanimate objects through time as any living organisms like us would be killed through the time travel process. However, Jeff managed to modify the machine and now living beings are able to travel through space and time freely”

“Jeff sounds like a smart kid” Chili said.

“He sure is! The dude can repair practically anything that’s broken, he managed to fix a broken spray can for crying out loud and created a fully functioning bazooka out of nothing but water pipes!! He truly is an outstanding individual. When he modified the Phase Distorter, he invited me and my other friends, Paula and Poo over to try and test it”

At that moment, Bandit broke down in laughter upon hearing Poo’s name. “Poo?! That’s your friend’s name?!”

Chili glared at Bandit and upon looking at her his laughter subsided.

“S-Sorry mate, carry on”

“It’s fine. As I was saying, now that we had a machine that allowed us to travel through time and space at will we pondered the endless possibilities we had with this machine. All the endless alternate universes we could explore, it was too much for us to contain our excitement. That was why we decided to test the limits of our imagination and so we set a course for an alternate universe. However, Jeff, as brilliant as he is, does often make mistakes. Little did we know that this one would be the one that brought us here. The machine began to shake violently, and Jeff attempted to fix it frantically, it turns out the machine wasn’t stable enough yet and it would have taken 2 days for Jeff to make it fully stable, but in his eagerness to try it out we began the trip 2 days early. I thought we were gonna die. Then, I blacked out and then, after what felt like hours, I woke up in the middle of a creek, like it had all been a dream. As I got up, I soon realized I was alone, Paula, Poo and Jeff were nowhere to be found and the Phase Distorter was in ruins. I knew I couldn’t fix it without Jeff, and it was at that moment I knew that I was stuck here”

“Oh my..” Chili uttered.

“At first, I simply thought I was still on my version of Earth, just in another location. I covered up the remains of the Phase Distorter and carefully made my way out of the creek. I had no idea where my friends were but I knew I would find them anywhere but here. Then after a while I reached this city and felt I could start looking for my friends here. It was when I got here however that I found out this wasn’t my world. As I got closer to the city, I soon came across a playground where I found what appeared to be a cricket ball in a bush, afterwards I heard what sounded like a little boy's voice. “Hey can I get my ball back please?” The little boy asked. Naturally, I complied, unaware that both I was as alien to the boy as he was to me. As he got closer I soon realized, he didn’t look quite human, in fact he wasn’t a human at all, he was a talking, bipedal pup. I was more confused than anything once I had a clear look at him, but he? He ran away as soon as he saw me, I made the mistake of running after him trying to prove that I wasn’t dangerous. At that point, all the other kids and their parents laid eyes on me. They all cowered in fear at the mere sight of me, they looked at me as if I was a….monster. I ran out of there as fast as I could until I reached the city of Brisbane. I tried to avoid any contact with the residents as I knew it would just lead to trouble. A few days later, there was a city wide search for the “hairless ape” that was on the loose and everybody joined in on it. Everyone was looking for me, and I knew that their intentions didn’t have my best interests in mind. So I hid away in the nearby woods. It’s been like that for nearly 2 weeks now.”

As Ness finished telling the story, Chili placed her paw over his hand.

“We don’t think you’re a monster, right Bandit?” Chili said.

“Yeah mate, they’re just afraid. I’m sure that if they saw you for who you were they would grow to like you. They just need some time.” Bandit said.

Ness sighed and looked up. “I guess you’re right, it’s probably best if I stay here for a while. If you want you guys can introduce me to any other family members when you feel the time is right. However, I do have something to confess.”

“What is it?” Asked Bandit.

“Before I ran into you 2, I came across 4 dogs on the highway. I was walking through the forest in the middle of the night, just trying to get somewhere, when I noticed headlights coming straight at me. It was then when I saw a Red and Blue heeler along with a Maltese and a Border Collie. I ran away soon after, but the next day I encountered them again and I could tell that they saw me as a threat and I knew that if I stayed longer they would most likely alert the authorities to my whereabouts. I still can’t get the Red and Blue Heeler out of my mind, are they by any chance related to you?”

Chili and Bandit looked at each other as they realized who the Heelers Ness was talking about were.

“Ness, those were our daughters. The Red Heeler is named Bingo and the Blue one is Bluey. Ness, if they already know you exist and if what you said is true, then we can’t let them or anybody else know that you’re living with us. From now on, if we leave to do errands or if we aren’t available for any reason, you’ll stay here at the house ok? Make sure no one sees you.” Chili said.

“I’ll give you our phone number so you can call us in case of an emergency.” Bandit said.

“O-Okay sure, are you 2 going somewhere now?” Ness asked.

“Yes, we’re gonna go check in on my brother, Stripe to see if he and his family are alright. We’ll be back no later than 3:50. Don’t leave the house ok?” Bandit said.

“Ok I promise.”

The 2 dogs left soon after, leaving Ness alone at the house. He now understood the severity of his situation. People are looking for him, and he just put this lovely couple in danger. He knew that he NEEDED to find his friends and leave this world as soon as possible.

But one question remained….

“Who’s behind these bombings?”

“And that’s the last time we saw him. Like I said, we don't know where he is.” Bluey said.

Poo had been asking them about everything they knew about Ness’ whereabouts, but unfortunately, they were as clueless as he was.

“So what are you gonna do now Poo?” Indy asked.

“I can’t leave without them, I don’t know where the Phase Distorter is. For all I know it probably broke down once we arrived here.”

“So does that mean you’re stuck here?!” Bingo asked, concerned.

“I’m afraid so, unless I find Jeff, me and the others are stuck here.”

“Who the hell is Jeff?” Lila asked.

“He’s another one of my dear friends, his father, Dr. Andonuts was the one who created the machine.”

“(Snort) Andonuts?!” Rusty exclaimed, finding the surname humorous.

“(Sigh) Yes, Andonuts. I don’t know why people find that name humorous.” Poo replied, slightly annoyed.

“Well…what do we know? I mean if those pig warriors or whatever are out there then we are in grave danger. They’ll probably just grow in numbers.” Bingo asked.

“She’s right. Were not safe yet and did you see how big that fucking thing was? I dread to think what else they’ve got in store. If the army can’t take care of them, then nothing will.” Rusty said.

“Where the hell did those assholes even come from? Maybe it has something to do with that kid on the highway.” Lila said.

“His name Ness.” Poo replied sternly.

“Whatever. Point is, everything that’s been going on has started after he appeared. Maybe he’s the reason this is all happening.”

Poo stood up and exclaimed, “Ness has nothing to do with this, and neither do I!! Look, I don’t know why these individuals are here, but I’ve just about had it with all of you assuming that we are the ones responsible! Since we got here everyone has treated me like I’m some kind of demon and don’t think I forgot about what you did to Ness.”

The 5 dogs were shocked by Poo’s sudden outburst and quickly tried to reassure him.

“We didn’t mean it like that. I’m sorry it came off that way, I can’t imagine all the scrutiny you had to endure here so far.” Bingo replied sincerely.

“It’s alright, I just got a bit carried away there. I just wish to return home, that’s all.” Poo said.

Lila walked up to him and placed her paw on his shoulder. “We’ll help you get home. I’m sorry for what I said.”

He looked down at the fluffy Maltese with a smile and said, “It’s alright. I appreciate that you all want to help, but It would be wrong of me to put you all in harm’s way.”

Indy chuckled slily. “We can handle ourselves kid. And besides, we know this place better than you. Not to mention, you basically have superpowers. We should be untouchable!”

“I wish I could use my powers whenever I please. But the truth is that I have a limit. The more I use my powers, the more fatigued I become. When I saved you 3 from those soldiers, I drew out the last bit of energy I had.”

“My mom can cook, we’ll take you to our house!” Bingo exclaimed.

Poo shook his head. “Just some water will do. I can survive for a while without food. Furthermore, I abide by a strict diet. It’s also probably for the best that I stay hidden for a while, it’s clear I’m not welcome here.”

The group nodded.

“Alright, I’ll get you some water then.” Bluey said.

“Mum, are you here!!” Judo yelled out. She stood outside of Wendy’s house, hoping that her mother was alright.

Just then Wendy came out to greet her daughter.

“Oh I’m so happy to see you dear!” Wendy said, hugging her daughter.

“I heard of the bombings and came here as soon as I could! What the hell is happening?!” Judo asked frantically.

“A massive blimp of some sort just appeared nearly 2 days ago and started dropping massive bombs near downtown. I’m fine but I heard some areas downtown are in really bad shape.”

“Well I’m glad you’re safe mum. Are Bluey and her family ok?”

“Yes thankfully, however Chilli and Bandit left a while ago, I believe to go and check on his brother.”

“I hope they’re alright too.”

Meanwhile at Stripe’s house…..

“Stripe? STRIPE?!!”

Bandit frantically knocked on the door of his younger brother’s house hoping they were home.

The door opened and a terrified Stripe met their gaze.

“Bandit, Chili! I’m glad you’re ok!” He said.

“Hey Stripe, are you and Trixie alright?” Bandit asked.

“Yeah we’re fine, it was you 2 that I was really worried about, I heard that your area got banged up real good.”

Bandit nodded.

“Can I tell you something though Bandit?” Stripe asked.

“What is it?”

“Well it actually occurred before all this. 2 days ago, I was awake at midnight when all of a sudden I noticed a bright light outside from the window. I saw as the light quickly appeared and vanished just outside our backyard. Curious, I went to investigate and….well maybe we should just show you.”

Stripe motioned for them to come in. Soon Trixie appeared, surprised to see Bandit and Chili here.

“Oh my god Chili! Bandit! I’m so glad you’re ok!” She said, embracing them.

“Trixie, hun can I talk to you for a minute?” Stripe said.

“Oh sure.”

The 2 dogs walked over to their room to discuss the topic at hand.

“Are you sure you wanna show them? They…might not take it well.”

“He’s my brother hun, he wouldn’t rat us out. Besides, I don’t think we can hide this forever. It’s best to tell someone we trust.”

“Alright fine. I just hope you know what you’re doing.”

The 2 came back to the living room to meet up with Bandit and Chili who were patiently waiting.

“So what did you wanna show us Stripe?” Chili asked.

“Ok before I show it to you, I want you to promise me one thing: Don’t tell anybody. I mean it, nobody besides you 2 can know about this.”

Bandit and Chili looked at each other for a moment.

“You have our word.” Bandit replied.

Stripe sighed.

He walked to the basement door and opened it.

“Hey um, I have some people I want to introduce to you. Can you please come up? I promise you they won’t do anything to you.” He yelled.

Footsteps echoed from the basement and Bandit and Chili felt a little uneasy.

Just then, from the bottom of the stairs, a young girl emerged. She wore a pink shirt and skirt adorned with a white bow around her waist. She had beautiful yellow hair with a little red bow on top and wore fuchsia sneakers. She appeared to be no older than 12 years. 

Bandit and Chili froze. They remembered what Ness told them, how he wasn’t the only one here. 

“Oh my god.”

Hey, it's me!

I apologize for the inactivity of this account (High School is such a bitch), but don't fret! This story isn't canceled.

However, as I reread it, I figured the first 5 chapters require a rewrite. I was making the story up as I went along for those first 5 and it kind of shows.

My writing was also pretty amateurish and I've improved since then. I'm gonna plan out the story and then rewrite the first 5 chapters before continuing the story.

I'll update y'all again when I'm done rewriting them.
