Secret Yin Yang

Summary:

Jay is looking for a video game that Zane hid from him, but finds something else

Work Text:

“Come on Zane… where did you hide it??”, Jay was in Zane’s room, looking for a video game. He had bought the new game but Master Wu had Zane hide it so Jay would do his chores. Even after doing them, no one would tell him where it was

He looked in a cupboard on his desk and saw what looked like his game, he smiled and pulled it out but then frowned when he saw it was something else… A Yin medallion? Like his and Nya’s?

“Jay? What are you doing in here?” Jay jumped and looked at Zane, while still holding the medallion

“Why do you have this Zane? This looks like the one I gave Nya?”

Zane sighed, “turn it around”

Jay turned it around and saw the Samurai X symbol carved in the bottom corner. That didn’t make sense? Nya’s was plain… it didn’t have a carving

Zane stepped forward and took the medallion from Jay’s hand, “this one is mine… Pixal has the other half with my ice symbol on it”

The gears in Jay’s head finally clicked together and he gasped,

“You and Pixal are also Yin Yang?!?”

Zane quickly shut his door, “yes, but please be quiet! She wants to keep it private for as long as possible… at least until she’s ready to tell Cyrus Borg”

“But… when?! How?!”

“When we got back from the Never Realm, I made a promise to her that I would never leave her again and I would always be with her… so I got the medallions a couple days after we got back”

“But… that was like… 3 years ago??

Zane’s eyes lit up as he searches for something and then smiled, “3 years, 5 months and 15 days to be precise”

Jay smiled and awkwardly hugged Zane, Zane giving him a small pat on the back

“Oh, I forgot why I came in here… you hid my new video game, can I get it back?”

Zane rolled his eyes and reached under his bed, retrieving the now dusty case and handed it to him

“Thanks Zane, you’re the best. And I promise to keep your secret safe” he smiled and left out the door. Zane smiled as he held the medallion and laid on his bed, closing his eyes and remembering the night he and Pixal officially became one
