Chapter 1: Seliph & Lester
Notes:
This convo takes place in Ch.6, before seizing Ganeishire Castle.
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
Lester: Hey Seliph! Is everyone okay?
Seliph: Lester! Are you alright? You're just in time to help us against Ganeishire's soldiers.
Lester: Heh, I'm fine, don't worry too much. Training with Oifey has helped me a lot using bows on horseback, so I'm ready for some action.
Seliph: It's nice to hear that, I want to see what new tricks you have learned from that training.
Lester: Say Seliph, where's Lana? I'll guess that she is doing okay in Tirnanog...
Seliph: W-Well, she actually came to help us...
Lester: What?! Seliph, didn't I tell you to take care of her?
Seliph: I did tell her to stay in Tirnanog and help the citizens, but she disagreed and wanted to help us out. Considering the situation we were in, I allowed Lana to stay with us as our healer. Don't worry, she has kept behind us all the time.
Lester: Sigh... Oh well, at least it's good to know she's helping all of you guys. I'm not surprised though; she always wanted to follow Mom's footsteps since we're kids.
Seliph: That's true, Lana was there when we were training, even though she never tried to train with us. Lana was there more than anything to heal our bruises after the training. And she was always trying to cheer us up even at the worst times.
Lester: Heh, well you know that my sister has the same spirit as our mom, but I'm scared that she gets hurt in this whole chaos.
Seliph: Don't worry Lester, I will try to keep an eye on her. So, if Lana is in danger, I'll be the first one to protect her.
Lester: Sure, though you should also be careful. I don't think my sister would like to see you getting hurt, right? Anyways Seliph, how about we set off? I will do everything I can do to help you with my bow at my side. As we all dreamed since we were kids.
Seliph: Of course, and thanks for your help, Lester.
Notes:
I remember writing this and being a very short convo (even more that what you are seen it rn), but as I got on to the details, it became much more interesting at the end.
Also I just noticed after posting this, is that there's not a single fic about Seliph and Lester lol.
Chapter 2: Seliph & Diarmuid
Notes:
This convo takes place in Ch.6, before seizing Ganeishire Castle.
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
Diarmuid: Lord Seliph, you are alright!
Seliph: Diarmuid! You're just in time. We just started to defend ourselves against Ganeishire's soldiers. They have found we were sheltering in Tirnanog, so we had to make a move before they start to attack innocent people.
Diarmuid: I see... Forgive me my Lord, the fact that I couldn't help you at first makes me feel nothing but shame.
Seliph: Don't apologize Diarmuid, we didn't think about a possible attack from them but look this way. I haven't suffered any important injuries so far, and everyone else is still fine.
Diarmuid: I know... I'm glad you are safe milord, you know how important you are not just for the people of Isaach, but also all people of Jugdral. So please, leave the enemies to me while you are behind me.
Seliph: Diarmuid, I know you swore to me to always protect me, but please, be careful not to throw your life away. I want everyone to survive this battle, so don't be reckless.
Diarmuid: V-Very well, if you say so... Sorry if I'm too stubborn sometimes...
Seliph: I don't mind it, in fact I really appreciate how dedicated you are to helping not only me, but everyone you know. Oifey's influence must really gotten on you, don't you think?
Diarmuid: Well sir Oifey has been the closest I ever like a family, you also must feel very similar, don't you agree?
Seliph: Hehe, well that's true, he is kind of like a father figure of our group, since he has protected us since we were babies. Listen Diarmuid, should we go? This battle just has started this, and I need as much help to overcome the empire, so I ask you: can I have your sword for this?
Diarmuid: Of course, we have dreamed of overthrowing the empire one day. So, I will be honored to help you with your cause. And I also want to know if Lord Ares is still alive somewhere, so one day we're able to restore my mom's land from the claws of the Empire. So, Lord Seliph, please lead us to a bright future!
Seliph: Sure, let's go!
Notes:
While writing this I just realized that Diarmuid never knew about her Sister until Lewyn told about her between Ch.6 and 7, because of this I had to change most of the later part of the Convo I had originally planned.
Still, I do like how it ended up this convo, considering that Diarmuid doesn't talk that much in Vanilla FE4. I hope with this, I can start to do more stuff with the idea of expanding his character.
Chapter 3: Scáthach & Lana
Chapter Text
Lana: Scáthach, wait!
Scáthach: Oh, hello Lana, did something happen?
Lana: Not really, I'm just looking to see if everyone was doing well right now. My apologies if I made you worry.
Scáthach: Oh, I don't mind. Anyways... How are you feeling right now? You know... With this war and all the stuff that's happening now.
Lana: If I'm being honest with you... I'm a bit s-scared... I knew one day we were going to battle the empire, but I didn't think it would be this soon. I'm worried that something bad happens and...
Scáthach: Y-Yeah, I can understand that feeling too. The fact we also don't have Prince Shannan on our side doesn't make the situation better. With Lord Seliph alone it might not be enough to fight the Isaach armies.
Lana: Hum? Are you doubtful that Lord Seliph can deal with this whole war?
Scáthach: Ah! I didn't mean that... It's just... I feel our group isn't strong enough, and if something happens to Lord Seliph... Then everything will be lost... This is why I have talked to him to be more cautious.
Lana: Oh... Sorry for thinking that. I also wish I could help him more in some way. But the only thing I can offer to him are my staffs.
Scáthach: I was thinking of staying closer to him, but I don't think he would like that. He doesn't like the idea of others protecting him, on the contrary he looks for our safety quite frequently.
Lana: He's really a compassionate person. I remember when we were kids, and he was the only one that wasn't into training, unlike you and Larcei. Do you remember?
Scáthach: Hm hum. Lord Seliph has never liked the idea of fighting others, even when we're training. He only fights when there was no other choice, and he was always looking to solve problems without conflict. He has kept this idea even to this day, and that's why I think he is an admirable leader and the reason why we all follow him.
Lana: Yeah, I can't imagine another person leading this army more than him...
Scáthach: Not even me?
Lana: Hehe, maybe...
Scáthach: Hey! Don't laugh at that. You know that I have potential, since Prince Shannan left me in charge of everyone here... Though that didn't go well...
Lana: Oh, don't worry, I know you well enough, and I think that you are a very valuable person for Lord Seliph and me.
Scáthach: Lana... Thanks I really appreciate it.
Lana: You're welcome, now I will go and check the others. I hope everyone is doing fine too.
Scáthach: Oh, sure. Well, see you around Lana. Please be careful, and try to always stay behind us, okay?
Lana: Sure, goodbye Scáthach!
Notes:
Lana and Scáthach don't have a lot of going on in Vanilla apart from the convo in the Final Chapter and a unique dialogue in case they get paired in the ending. I can imagine a Remake or even FEH adding some lines between both characters.
The original idea for this was more basic and shorter. But has I started to write it changed completely, and in my opinion I like how it ended up.
Chapter 4: Ced & Tine
Notes:
This convo takes in ch.8, after recruiting Ced and killing Coruta's squad.
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
Tine: Oh... Where could it be... I'm sure I must have dropped it around here... How could I lose something this important? Sigh...
Ced: Excuse me, are you Tine?
Tine: Hum? Y-Yes, I'm Tine. But who are you? And how do you know my name?
Ced: Forgive me, I haven't introduced myself. I'm Ced, Leader of the Magi, but now I'm part of the Liberation army. It's a pleasure to meet another mage in this group.
Tine: Ah! Yes, I have heard from you. You're Fee's brother, right? I can finally meet you at last. But why are you here?
Ced: Well, your brother Arthur asked me to look for you, he told me that you were searching for something you lost during the last battle. He couldn't come though, since Lord Seliph asked him to monitor the area with my sister Fee.
Tine: I-I see... I'm sorry, but I still haven't found it, and I can't just leave it here.
Ced: Hm? And what did you lose?
Tine: I lost my pendant while we were fighting against the Thracian army. It's my precious memento from my late Mother and I didn't want to lose it forever...
Ced: In that case, may I help you?
Tine: Eh? Are you sure?
Ced: Indeed. I don't think you want to leave this place without your pendant, don't you?
Tine: S-Sure! Thank you... Hum... L-Lord Ced, may I ask you something?
Ced: Of course. Tell me what you need.
Tine: Could you please help me with my magic training?
Ced: Really? Because what I saw from you in Munster was quite good, in fact you have amazing potential. So why do you want me to help you?
Tine: W-Well I feel I'm not strong enough like you or my brother. And I also don't want to be a burden from the army. So...
Ced: I see... Very well I will be glad to help you with your training, but it will take some time before you reach our level. Are you fine with that?
Tine: Of course. I'm curious to see how it goes. You are really a kind person Lord Ced... Ah! It's getting late... M-Maybe we will never find my pendant again...Sniff...
Ced: Are you sure? Because look at what I have here.
Tine: You found it! Oh... I have no words... Sniff...
Ced: Hehe, don't cry Tine. It's over. Let's go back to the army, so your brother doesn't have to worry anymore. Should we?
Tine: S-Sure!
Notes:
It's funny how this took a long time to write mostly because of the beginning. Did they meet before? Was their first time seen each other? The end result left it in a good position to keep the convo going.
Has for the pair themselves? Both mages are characters I love and together their are really cute. It's a shame they don't get any other scene apart from the final convo and the Demo opening.
After writing this I got the feeling I should write more about them. Maybe as a separated project, but who knows...
Chapter 5: Seliph & Lene
Notes:
This convo takes place in the Final chapter and both characters must be married.
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
Lene: Seliph? How are you feeling my love?
Seliph: Lene? I-I'm okay, you don't need to worry about me...
Lene: Are you sure? Your face doesn't look good right now... You didn't sleep enough last night, right?
Seliph: Ah! So, y-you noticed it...
Lene: Hm hum. You weren't sleeping in our room late at night... Did something happen? You know you can trust your beloved wife, right?
Seliph: Lene... I-I... I'm very nervous... We are so close to finishing this war. I can really feel it... But my mind feels so concerned about something happening and I... I really don't want to end this war with someone dying at the end...
Lene: I see... You know? I'm also feeling like you right now...
Seliph: You do?
Lene: Y-Yeah, but I also try to relax by dancing. Trying to flow all the negative vibes out of my body and giving joy and energy to anyone seeing it. You see, not only I want to give hope to the Army, but also to you Lord Seliph. You are such an amazing person, I can't still believe I've married such kind man like you...
Seliph: Lene... Thank you, I really appreciate your words, without you at my side, I feel nothing but helpless.
Lene: Me too my love... So... How about an especial dance? Just for you...
Seliph: Huh?! You mean right now? Are you sure about that?
Lene: Why not? You always told me that my dances were always refreshing for you, didn't you? You have changed your behavior ever since we met in Dahna...
Seliph: Hehe, you are right Lene... Every time I see one of your dances, I feel more comfortable... So please... Go ahead.
Lene: Thanks! Now Lord Seliph, this dance is for you and our love! Watch this!
Notes:
I'm very sad that Lene didn't get ANY convo in the final chapter, specially considering she doesn't talk that much in general, and she already has a good relationship with Ares, so no clue what happended there to not give anything to Lene.
Making this convo was hard, mostly because Ch.7's convos was really short and didn't knew how to do a follow up... Also trying to translate to ES also make me fatiged... I do however like how it ended up, especially with Seliph talking about his fears, makes this convo very genuine.
Now that I think... I will need to create a final chapter convo for Ares... And also someone else too...
Chapter 6: Seliph & Iucharba
Notes:
This convo takes place in Ch.6, Iucharba must be an Ally.
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
Iucharba: Excuse me, are you Lord Seliph?
Seliph: You must be Iucharba. I'm glad to see you here, are you here to make a deal to stop this battle?
Iucharba: Actually... I want to join the Liberation army.
Seliph: Really? That's wonderful, but why did you decide to help us now?
Iucharba: Well, I just couldn't stand my father anymore... With how he treated the people of Isaach and all the abuses he has done to this land... I can't forgive him, so I decided to fight for a better cause. Though I was also influenced by s-someone else to help you guys...
Seliph: I see... I do wonder if you're okay with fighting against your family... If you want, you can leave this to us and...
Iucharba: What? No way I won't make him pay for all the damage he has done! This isn't about some sentimental stuff, I will fight against my father and his army if it's necessary.
Seliph: Good to know. I'm happy to see you care about the people around here, even after all the bad things your father has done, you still have a good heart.
Iucharba: Y-Yeah, you don't need to say that out loud...
Seliph: Hey, be proud of yourself. You could change how everyone sees the Dozel's family around here.
Iucharba: Hehe, I know... Look Lord Seliph, how about we teach one or two things to my father's army? It's time to show what I'm capable of too.
Seliph: Of course! And thanks for joining us!
Notes:
It's sad how Iucharba and Iuchar get no love whatsoever, like... when was the last time you even thought about them? Kinda unfortunate to have no dialogues more than Ch.6 and Final Ch. Will the Remake fix that? I hope so, if not... Well gotta wait until they get released in FEH.
Got a very beautiful comment in the ES translation... So I might do another Ced and Tine convo soon or later, but will post it in a different work. Also have been wondering what to do after, and maybe I could make a bigger story... But for now I will stick with the short dialogues.
Chapter 7: Finn (parent) & Patty
Notes:
This convo happens in Ch.7, and only if you marry Finn with Brigid.
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
Finn: Ah! ...Excuse me, but who are you?
Patty: Oh, I'm Patty. Nice to meet ya!
Finn: Hum... I see...
Patty: Hm? Is there something wrong? Why are you staring at me like that?
Finn: My apologies, miss. It's just that you look quite similar to a woman I loved a long time ago.
Patty: Really? Were you a couple or something?
Finn: Hm hum, but unfortunately our time together was a very short lived one, and I haven't seen her since the war... I have tried looking for her, with the little time I had, but without any success.
Patty: Oh, I'm sorry to hear that... What was her name?
Finn: Her name was Brigid, the only girl I have ever loved.
Patty: E-Excuse me?! That's my mom's name!
Finn: Wait what did you say?! Is that true?! Hold on... Do you have a brother named Febail?
Patty: I do! How do you even know all of this? Or what kind of coincidence is this...
Finn: Hum... Look Patty... T-This might be hard to believe, but it's possible that I'm your father.
Patty: Huh?! W-Wait you're not joking, right? You know this isn't a funny joke to do...
Finn: I'm not. I still need to meet your brother first to confirm it. But I genuinely think you're my daughter.
Patty: R-Really? I don't know what to say... Sniff... Oh, Daddy...
Finn: I'm sorry Patty, I have been nothing but a horrible father to you and Febail. I should have tried looking for you first, yet I didn't do anything... I don't know if you will forgive me one day.
Patty: I... I don't know how I feel about it. It might be hard to accept all of this, considering I have been an orphan all my life...
Finn: ...
Patty: B-But I'm also very happy... To know that my father not only is alive, but also that he loved my mother with all his heart.
Finn: Patty... I really appreciate your words, I know that we lost a lot of time together, but I will try my best to fix this by been close to you and Febail. I also know someone that could be Brigid, but I need to confirm if they are the same person. In the meantime, please stay close to me, my daughter...
Patty: O-Of course! And father... Sniff... Please, never leave our side...
Finn: Patty...
Notes:
Surprise! I actually canned this convo for quite a while, since it was supposed to be the third chapter of this work. But I wanted the best quality for it, and imo it was worth it.
This convo starts quite similar to both Lana and Larcei's convo with Finn, but I changed some wording to keep it not identical. And also added more stuff at the end, trying to mix up some FE5 stuff at the end.
Thinking a bit better it's possible that I make a continuation to this, since Febail is a recruitable unit in Ch.8, and it would be interesting if he had a conversation with his father has is recruitment...
Chapter 8: Finn (parent) & Febail
Notes:
This convo takes place in Ch.8, and only if you marry Finn with Brigid.
Febail must be an enemy unit.
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
Finn: Wait, don't shoot!
Febail: Huh? What do you want? Don't you know that we are on the battlefield and I'm working on Blume's side?
Finn: I know but just give me a minute please. You are Febail, aren't you?
Febail: Eh? How do you know my name? Were you hired to kill me or something?
Finn: Oh! No, you see your sister Patty is with us an-
Febail: P-Patty?! What have you done to her! If you don't tell me, then I...
Finn: P-Please listen to me... That bow you have in hand... It's the Legendary bow: Yewfelle, did you know that? And you are also one of Brigid's kid, right?
Febail: H-Hold on, what did you say?! How do you even know about the bow? I had no idea about that. And how do you know my mother's name?
Finn: ...You see... Long time ago... I was part of the Leonster army, led by Lord Quan, to assist Lord Sigurd. During my last moments in the army, I met a beautiful woman near Orgahil. Her name was Brigid.
Febail: (!)
Finn: We both fell in love quickly and we had a kid soon after... However, one day Lord Quan decided to go back to Leonster, to get additional reinforcements, so I had no choice but to say goodbyes to her and our kid. That kid... It's you, Febail, and I have finally found you!
Febail: What?! But how is this possible? Are you saying that you are my father?! And if you said you were from Leonster, then why didn't you ever look up to us? Do you have any idea how much I wanted to meet you?
Finn: I'm very sorry son... I know it must be hard to process everything I just said to you. But considering the position you are in, I beg you... Please fight with us, the Liberation army, and free this country from the Empire!
Febail: ...Very well, I will do it.
Finn: Febail...
Febail: But don't you think I have forgiven you for leaving us and my mom alone, okay? I'm doing this since my sister is in the army, for a better future of the children in the orphanage and also considering all the bad stuff Blume has done to the Munster District.
Finn: I-I know, don't worry... I'm sure Patty will be happy to see you at our side...
Febail: Heh, I can imagine that... Huh... By the way f-father...
Finn: Yes Febail?
Febail: Do you have any clue where mom could be?
Finn: The truth is... I think I know someone that looks very similar to her that might be Brigid, or at least know something... Look, once this war ends, I need you and your sister to meet her, and maybe, just maybe, we might know the truth about where your mother is.
Febail: I see, you seem to have an idea where she could be... To be honest, I'm glad you are still with us dad... And I beg you, don't ever think about leaving us again, okay?
Finn: Of course, son... I will do everything to stay by your side...
Febail: Dad...
Notes:
Damn, still no news about the FE4 remake... Still very interesting games announced this direct, so I'm not mad at waiting more info about any FE stuff.
Anyways this convo was very nice to write, since it's one of the few times I will have to write a recruitment dialogue here, and I did my best to keep it has interesting considering what happens in FE5. Still, I had to redo the convo a lot of times, but fortunally I managed to release it in time.
For now I want to focus more in the other Fic, than this one. Since I have not a lot of ideas left here, and also want to write other characters too (like Arthur or Julia).
