Chapter Text
Spirit Waker had always wanted a brother. Don’t get him wrong, he loved his little sister, but something deep inside of him yearned for the brother he had lost, even if he couldn’t remember him. Grandma always looked at him so sadly when he said so, though, so he didn’t say anything.
Link Waker. Twin brother of Spirit Waker. Older brother of Aryll Waker. It sounded nice.
He pulled a box out from under his bed, the box he couldn’t trust Aryll with yet, not yet but soon. When she was old enough to not damage the pictures inside, he would show it to her.
He combed through the pictures, smiling softly at all the memories these pictures must have contained.
“Hey, you.”
Spirit jumped, scattering the pictures everywhere at the sudden noise. “WHA-”
The person who had said it seemed shocked too. “You can see me?”
The stranger was staring at Spirit with something alike to wonder. It was a girl, about his age, with long blonde hair, pale skin, blue eyes and a seriously impractical dress. “You can really see me?”
Spirit stared at her. “Why wouldn’t I?”
“Because I'm a ghost.”
“A- A what?!” Spirit jumped again, staring at the stranger in his room. “A GHOST?! AM I DEAD?! ARE YOU HERE TO DRAG ME TO THE AFTERLIFE? I STILL NEED TO SAY GOODBYE TO ARYLL!”
She frowned at him. “I’m not here to drag you to the afterlife, Mr overdramatic, I need your help.”
“H-Help? With what?”
“There’s a villain named Malladus, and he stole my body. I need you to help me get it back.”
