Overcompensation is a concept Tony is all too familiar with. When you’re a gay guy pretending to be a straight guy pretending to be a gay guy, it’s almost a necessary ordeal. Both ways.
He definitely tells Sally how hot she looks way too often. Is it still convincing when she’s exhausted after work, makeup-free, in sweats and a t-shirt? Her hair, somehow, remains perfect.
They put on a movie to unwind, and he regrets picking The Rocky Horror Picture Show (again) the second he presses play. Sally falls asleep just before Sweet Transvestite, which is probably for the best.
