"I bought you this."
Hands over a really crappy looking package with tape all over it to hold it together. The whole thing shaped like a handgun. No surprise there but of course.
"For me? Really?"
"Yeah, cause, ya know, Valentine's and all... So guess, a gift?"
Takes the gift with a surprise and shaky hands, then opens said badly wrapped gift.
Stares at the gun presented there, eyes watering, lips trembling, perfectly wordless at the moment.
"So, ya like it or???” Pauses confused as well. “Ya okay?”
“i am. And yes, it’s perfect! I love it. Thanks luv!"
Kisses as reward.

"So, it's Valentine's Day, any thoughts?"
"Nah. Just hanging at home, ordering pizza, watching some flicks I guess. Nuttin much.”
"Oh." Sounding rather disappointed hearing this.
"Yeah, why?"
"Well, I was hoping... thinking, really, that we, the two of us could maybe do something special, ya know, together?
"Together? Why?"
"Cause, ya know, Valentine's Day... For those couples and all, celebrating their love?"
"Oh, so we're a couple then now?"
"Yeah, dummy! We totally are!!!”
“Guess, I didn’t realise that.Yet.”
“Yeah? Well, now ya do.”
"Okay then... Pizza and beer at my place sound okay?"
"Yeah, sure, why not!"
