X-Naut Ficlet Collection

Summary:

The X-Nauts are not silly or cute. They are, in fact, quite nasty...

...And if that sounds like something you firmly believe, these might well not be the right ficlets (or writer!) for you. But you're welcome to check them out anyway.

Notes:

It could be considered something of a tragedy in this day and age that I'm rather slow to get into things - it's rare for me to play a game within a year of it coming out. Then, when I play and get excited and find all the fanwork available only to see there's not enough of it, that's when I take my time slowly developing my own ideas until there's finally fic to be written. By the time I'm ready to post, much of what was once potential audience will have already moved on to other fandoms. Oh well. Here's to my fellow latecomers, and to those who stuck around!

Unlike most of my fic, which undergo several rounds of editing, these have... largely not been edited much, if at all. That's probably why they've managed to stay so small, knowing my own editing tendencies. It's rather refreshing, in its own way.

Referring to the X-Nauts with numbers rather than names is not what I usually do, but I couldn't be bothered to think of any names for them this time. Still, I think the anonymity works pretty well here.

I did my best, but that dating system is utter nonsense when looked at more closely. I treated it as a base-5 and ignored everything contradicting that.

Also, I just really love the ambiguity here. The sheer number of possible interpretations... it gives me a warm fuzzy, it does.
