Chapter Text
Anakin Skywalker was officially not having a good day.
First it was the useless council mission on some planet he can’t even remember the name of, and now it was the fact that he may or may not have crashed strategically landed on the surface of the planet.
The ground embraced him like an old friend, sending him almost smashing his head into the steering wheel. His vision was fuzzy around the edges, but it wasn’t really anything to worry about.
So, wincing at the sight of his ship, he coached himself out of the seat, hobbling out of the wreck. The foliage around him was a vibrant orange, and the tall grass surrounding him was a pale white.
All in all, it wouldn’t have been as bad as it was if a literal preteen with an ignited red lightsaber didn’t leap out of a neighboring tree, the force only giving him a moment’s notice of danger to allow him to not be cleaved in half by the blade, which had a distinctly petal-like end, and its user being a short, ginger haired girl. He was suddenly very concerned, both for himself and for why the kriff this kid was holding a red lightsaber.
The kid narrowed her eyes at him blocking her strike, giving him a death glare. “Why are you here?”
“I could ask you the same question.” Anakin replied. Seriously, he didn’t want to be here.
Trading blows with this small child was actually a little more difficult than expected, because the kid was using her size as an advantage to weave circles around him. He did get a pretty lucky hit that grazed her right leg though. Eventually, however, he got enough leverage to swing his saber hard enough that it sent hers flying out of her grip from impact.
The kid glared at him yet again, this time with a bit more fear in it, and lunged for him, promptly knocking Anakin to the ground.
The two wrestled on the ground for a few minutes, like bickering siblings, when the force rang out with an ominous, looming DANGER, GET AWAY, and both parties froze. Noticing that they both felt it and weren’t just crazy, the kid leapt up, and ran off, leaving Anakin to chase after this small child in the woods, until he realized she wasn’t running from him, but rather the thing behind him.
An absolutely gigantic creature that looked like a rancor but somehow worse was bounding towards them, and the two ran into a cavern with a very narrow opening, he almost didn’t fit in.
The front of the cavern collapsed with the creature smashing into it, sending both of them tumbling down.
