A Stitch in Time

Summary:

"Who's with us..?"

Shiori let out these words but the room stayed silent.

Some were confused, hurt, and angered by the sudden reveal. They didn't think that the people who were just with them a few hours ago celebrating about saving the world, would be the people who would abandon their duties of being heroes.

A tension lingered in the air.

Suddenly a ticking was heard, and then another, and then another one. Each tick becoming faster, they turned to notice that their Queen who looked to be breathing heavily the clock above her head seemed to be the one making noises.

The hands moved slowly at first before becoming erratic. noticing this, Gonathan, the Queen's loyal knight immediately goes to check on his Queen.

But before he could even land his hands on her a sudden rift appeared behind The Queen.

The other's immediately came back to their senses as they noticed that Tam was being sucked inside of it, as well as the things around them.

Everyone tried their best to hold on and not let anyone be taken. The rest of advent seemed to be nervous too.

Shiori "Nyavella" remained calm. She knows this. She knows what's going to happen.

Notes:

First time writing about these characters(Enreco) kinda nervous 👉👈

Also sorry for the OOC and any mistakes I did. And also sorry for the summary that isn't really a summary but I literally could not think of anything else to add there.

Still.

I hope you enjoy this because I tortured myself for the lore that's probably wrong..

Chapter Text

The moon shined bright, showing its fullest self at the night sky, the stars twinkled beside it and a few shooting stars fly right past it.

The night was still young, you could still hear a few chatters if you pass by the houses and shops.

The scene pans to a building, it was made from cobblestones that were covered in moss, it looked to be an Castle. More specifically The Queen, Tam Gandr's, Castle.

In all honesty, it looked like it was abandoned considering that there were so many plants growing on the walls. The voices that were heard inside seemed to have proved that theory wrong.

"I have never lied to you Tam.."

The voice of a certain archiver was heard, her tone seemingly trying to convince the other person.

"... I know.. I just.."

A tired sign can be heard from the person she was talking to, Tam Gandr.

The two started this talk about an hour ago since The Queen, Tam, heard rumours running around of how much a scam Nyavella was. And, avoiding the fact that she also kinda did spread some too, wanted to clear things up and finally get an answer from the subject itself.

"..If it is truly a bother to you, then I'll forbid myself from writing so you won't worry about it anymore."

Shiori Nyavella's voice was soft as she spoke, not wanting to stress the Queen any further then she had.

"N-No.. There is no need for you to stop doing what you love just for my sake.."

"It's actually for business but ok.."

Ignoring the Archiver's comment, Tam decided that there's no need to worry about the rumours since Shiori herself confirmed that she could never do that so she trust her, and not because she took one look at the girl's eye and immediately thought that she was innocent, and definitely not because Shiori was very kind to her whenever they interacted with each other, and that the girl had the most beautiful eyes that she had ever seen that she would be sometimes stuck in a trance while looking at them, no definitely not that...

"Well.. It's already becoming late so I supposed that's a sign that I should go now? I mean, now that the problem is settled and you would definitely convince the others that I did nothing wrong, right?"

"I- Y-yes of course.."

Tam didn't get a chance to say goodbye as the Archiver immediately went out after bowing to her.

-——

"Don't you think this banquet is delightful my, Queen?"

Gonathan's voice was low but his Queen was still able to hear him, despite the loud cheering of the people around them.

"Yes.. You're right, Gonathan, I didn't even know there were this many people living in Libestal. Even though I am Queen.."

Tam said whispering the last part to herself.

The two were currently at the corner of the room after greeting the people Tam decided that she wanted some alone time, specially after what had happened these past few days and Gonathan just followed her saying stuff among the lines of "The Queen should not be left alone!" Tam didn't resist and let the knight do whatever he wanted.

A bunch of laughter and chattering could be heard, some from their friends and others are from the people of Libestal.

"Yo dawgs."

A voice was heard from their side breaking the previous conversation that they were having, Tam turned to see Mordan Ramsey. Tam contemplated on even responding to the Chef as some of the stuff that happened was because of her, but then again she was the one who acted upon it so she was at fault too.

"Hello to you to, Dawg!"

Gonathan greeted his "dawg" cheerfully giving the girl a fist bump.

"Yes? Do you perhaps need something, Mordan Ramsey?"

Tam asked her unlike Gonathan's voice her's held a tiny bit of coldness, but she immediately pulled it back after she realized what she was doing.

"Uh.. Yeah. The guys wanted us to have one last photo before we part ways."

Gonathan and Tam looked at each other and shrugged before looking back at Mordan and nodding in acceptance.

"Great, let's go together."

"Lead the way, Mordan Ramsey!"

The three walked together to where the others where at. Tam took a noticed that the others seemed to be talking to the Outlander.

"—hat the Origin would not have taken lightly."

As they walked closer Tam could hear what the Outlander was saying clearly now.

They stopped beside Shakira, who was the main person talking to Outlander, and stayed to listen to the conversation.

"I suppose that's what you were trying to warn me about, wasn't it?"

The Outlander smiled at them as he talked

"Well, it's your turn now. How exactly did you kn—"

A sudden chilling scream echoed through the castle's hallways making everyone freeze. They turned to where the sound came from but they couldn't pin point on where exactly it was from.

"What was.."

"Iphania!?" "Princess!?"

Both the Outlander and The Knight, immerkind, screamed as they immediately recognized who the voice belonged to.

Before they could react the Outlander immediately ran accidentally shoving some people away so that he can get through, Immerkind immediately went to follow him.

Tam was the first to come back to their senses telling the others that they should follow them too. The other's agreed worried on what might have happened.

As they ran up the stairs a booming dark and low voice was heard, a terrifyingly familiar voice.

"₩₱ I เ๓ WON'T ጎነ DIE ⏃⟟ SO ♗✺ EASILY"

As soon as they heard that voice they frantically ran up the stairs as fast as they could.

"☋ HA ⏃ HA ⟊ HA! ል TOO ጎ LATE... คן"

As soon as they entered the room they find Outlander and Immerkind next to the princess that was currently laying on the ground, no clear sign whether she was concious or not.

Tam was breathing heavily.. Why did this happen? Everything was fine. How? Didn't they kill this thing already?

"As will You"

That sentenced snapped her back as she heard screams from her fellow heroes.

And then

Black.

-——

"Who's with us...?"

Really..?

Tam couldn't believe what she was seeing and hearing. Even though she was the first one to agree about helping Fia, she still hasn't recovered from the things that happened before all of this.

And now.

Now Shiori, Gonathan's Ex Wife, is giving up on being the hero they were suppose to be? To do whatever they wanted to?

Tam wasn't sure if she can ever recover if she ever gets back to her "home", things here are so bad that she might need another therapy session after this, and it definitely won't be Mordan this time.

Suddenly she hears Gonathan calling for her. She didn't notice how she was breathing heavily, she didn't notice the clock floating above her head move. She didn't notice it until she heard Gonathan calling out to her.

"My, Queen..?"

Tam looked up to see her knight coming closer to her, even if she can't see it, she can feel the others eyes on her.

Gonathan walked closer and closer each step and when he did he reached out to her about to touch her shoulder before a sudden heavy wind burst out from behind her.

She didn't have time to react about the rift that opened up behind her, she took notice that it was trying to pull her in. Luckily Gonathan was quick to react and quickly grabbed onto her to prevent her from falling inside of it.

Gonathan held onto her, they turned when they hear a bunch of shouting and see that the others were trying to grab onto each other also trying to prevent the other from getting sucked in.

Even the people who were "evil" a moment ago also looked nervous trying to keep themselves away from the portal.

Amidst all the shouting a voice called out, it was calm and didn't seem like they were even worried at all.

"Let it happen."

Tam turned to see that it was Shiori who spoke up. The girl looked calm despite the chaos happening around them.

"Why the hell would we do that!?"

Peasant the Bae shouted at the monochrome girl, the latter frowned and once again opened her mouth.

"Its the only way. Just let go and let it take—"

"We're going to die if we let that thing take us in!"

Shiori Nyavella was cut off by HPO—that pink bastard, Shiori shook her head, she was beginning to get irritated but she couldn't explain why they needed to listen to her.

She signed, she would just force them to. She took out her quill.

"What are you—"

Tam didn't get to finish.

The whole library glowed and a bunch of books began to float around them, they didn't get to react to it because after that the books were immediately flying straight towards them.

The heroes did everything they can to defend themselves but the books closed them in not noticing that the rift behind them was getting bigger.

"Fuck!" "Gahh!" "Damnit!!"

A bunch of screams were heard as the heroes fell onto the portal, even the people who were with Shiori fell in with them.

The archiver walked closer, exhausted because of the use of her magic.

She glanced at Fia who was looking at her.

"Thanks.."

The cat only nodded and the girl jumped in the portal with no hesitation, preparing herself for what's about to come.

Notes:

This story would be probably focused on like them trying to find their way back.

But also them being absolutely confused on how different this universe is(not really) and trying to settle into it as they figure out a plan.

Also sorry for the unnecessary Shironii/Timelore at the start. The whole reason I started this fic was because I was literally imagining them being together, also because of Kronmei.

And like this chapter was supposed to be a bit longer but I was losing so much motivation because I used it all in doing animation memes. I'll probably upload the second part soon (next month probably).

really sorry that it's short!!

Bye-bye, I'll see you next time once I have motivation!
