"MAKINO LOOK WHAT I FOUND" I yell while dashing into the bar waving a light brown poster excitedly "What is it Y/n?" she says, cleaning off the table counter "It's Luffy, he has his very first bounty and it's pretty big, 30k big to be more exact" I say happily, pretty much jumping with excitement while showing her the wanted poster "I understand your excited about this Y/n but you have to calm down a little bit, I can hardly see the poster" Makino says sweat dropping but still smiling softly "We should celebrate this" I say smiling and somewhat ignoring Makino's previous statement "It seems the mountain bandits had the same idea in mind" Makino say laughing to her self softly as the mountain bandits slam through the door aggressively
"COME ON LETS PARTY HARD TONIGHT" Dadan says her voice enthusiastic and loud as always. She fist bumping the air with both hands in excitement while everyone else agrees with her making me smile even more then I already was. Even though I don't like parties this is an exception. Luffy has earned this and deserves to be celebrated. "Let's get this party started" I say exuberantly. "Just try not to drink the place dry" Makino says in a joking manner though there was a hint of seriousness in her voice. despite that she had her usual smile and started grabbing a few cups.
"PaSs mE ThE AlCoHol" Dadan says clearly drunk out of her mind. I took a look at the clock and realized that it was nearly 2 in the morning. "Hey Makino are you okay? you've been working all night without a proper break" I ask concerned for her health "I'm fine Y/n just a bit tired that's all" she says smiling weakly. her facial expression lacked its normal energized look though. Makino has truly always been a bad liar. "I can bring the mountain bandits home it's getting late and you need to get some rest Makino" I say, though deep down I know it was more like me telling her I would. "Thank you Y/n that would be great but I don't want you to get hurt outside, its very late after all" she mutters out worriedly "its fine Makino plus I have been in that forest hundreds of times, I of all people won't get hurt" I say trying to reassure her a bit "As long as you don't get hurt I guess it will be fine" Makino says hoping that I'll stay safe without running in to any trouble in the forest "GUYS HOME TIME MAKINO HAS TO PACK UP" I yell making the mountain bandits frown and complain. They are no better then young children "Don't worry Makino I'll help clean up when I get back just go get some rest" I blurt out to her as I force the mountain bandits out the bar, completely ignoring their cries and complaints.
As I enter the bar I instantly notice that Makino had fallen asleep on a bar stool with her head resting on the counter "Makino?" I whisper, shaking her softly. She shifts but doesn't wake up so I decide to clean up the huge mess left behind by the mountain bandits in the meantime. I never stopped to think about it before before but Makino is much more of a mother to me than my real mother. I mean I grew up around her, she bought nearly all of my stuff, she also taught me how to cook and fed me when I was hungry. I don't even remember the last time I saw my mother. I think I was 15 yrs old or so and god it feels so nice. "Y/n your back" Makino says happily but tired as she slowly wakes up for her nap "Yea, you were sleeping and I didn't want to wake you up just yet so I was just cleaning up a bit" I say smiling "Do you need help cleaning up it's a pretty big mess" Makino asks getting up to grab the broom "Nope I should be fine" I say blocking her way to the broom "Alright if you say so" Makino says with a tired defeated sigh but still smiling great fully "You should take tomorrow off you've been working your butt off lately" I suggest "Are you sure Y/n, It isn't easy running the bar alone" Makino advised worriedly "Yes Makino, you need a break and fast" I say pushing her to her door gently "Go home now and get some sleep" I add crossing my arms and watching her wave before walking home. probably already tipsy. "I work here numbskull" I say already annoyed "That's no way to treat your customer now is it Y/n" Shanks says smiling cockily "Makino isn't coming to day so I can be as rude as I want Shanks" I say glaring at the man with an slight frown on my face "Ouch, not even gonna try to be nice to me today" Shanks says frowning dramatically "I don't get why you're so surprised right now" I say ignoring him almost completely as he mumbles something about me being rude and wanting Makino hear instead. "Hey Y/n can you pass me the booze up there" Shanks says while smiling and pointing to the very top shelf seemingly over his little tantrum\\ "You asshole" I mumble "Make that 3" he says annoying me further, I climbed up to grab the first 2 bottles and climbed down to place them down, then I jump and reached out to get the last bottle "Here you go s h a n k s" I say very annoyed while smiling sarcastically "Thanks" Shanks says while smiling.
A few very long hours later I get ready to close the bar while, the red-haired pirates pack up to leave taking whatever's left of the alcohol in the bar. Since Makino isn't here I have to help them move everything and make sure they actually pay this time around. "Is this all" I say looking at the barrels upon barrels of alcohol in front of the ship "Yup" Shanks says weirdly proud of himself "Good because that's all we have left inside" I say getting ready to leave quickly "Wait I have an offer for you" Shanks says as I walk away "Hell nah my work here is done" I says walking a little faster "Come on, it's important" he says following me "What is it now dimwit" I say stopping near to the bar "I want you to join my crew" he say in a serious tone of voice "Why the hell would I do that willingly?" I say crossing my arms and frowning "Your a literal genius like nothing I've ever seen not to mention your crazy fast, why would you put it all to waste" Shank says "If I didn't join Luffy why would I join you of all people" I say in a firm tone of voice "I'll be back you should put some more thought into it if you do change your mind here's a vivir card" he says handing me a piece of paper than walking back to his ship. The next day I had to explain to Makino that the red haired pirates came and drank everything but for some reason I just couldn't bring myself to tell her that Shanks asked me to join his crew but it doesn't matter because I really don't planning on joining him

I just realized while editing this that I had put incest instead of insist. I think I may be tweaking gang. all those nights are getting to me, also I did mischaracter shanks a lot but low-key its for the plot. if I remember correctly he will be a bit more realistic later on but don't get your hopes up
